I spent 5 days in a nice clean room. The place is renovated in a vintage chic style, and it is quite comfortable. The breakfast is good and offers a wide choice of food, also suitable for children. The coffee is good, and the juice was Santal (orange, apple, peach). The location is great.

The location is in the perfect place, right in the center of Brasov, with easy access to restaurants. The hotel has no parking spaces you have to pay and walk for about 100-200m. The room we had was a Junior suite but the bathroom was smelling bad, the bed in the main room has an old mattress and was very uncomfortable. First night it was cold in the room but the next night we asked for more blankets and it was better. The breakfast was ok, but if you get after 9 there are many chances you can’t find much to eat.

Great location and huge room. Had Superior Suite, could be the largest room I ever had I Europe. Wish I could give a half star 4.5 rating because two main issues, no ac?! I know the building is old and it’s Europe but ductless units would work well here, if not get some portable fans and units, I asked for a fan and got one that was falling apart. Second the outside lights shine through the bedroom window maybe blackout curtains? Breakfast was fine and really enjoyed the grey location!

Safrano offers good value for money: the location is perfect for visiting Brașov, the rooms are comfortable and beautiful, the breakfast is rich, with many tasty choices and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We spent four days there and it was a wonderful vacation. Highly recommended!

Perfect location means is this.Such a friendly staff environment with quite big room , unique with is just in front of the hotel and good enough breakfast opportunity.A bit noisy time to time . Recommends to everyone at Brasov with a pleasure

We stayed in this hotel a couple of times, because it is located in the city centre, but will think twice in booking again. We stayed for four days, but last couple of nights and mornings have been an absolute nightmare, with a noisy group making loud video calls on sleakers, spending time speaking loudly on the terrace of the first floor until 23.30-24, and who had to be requested politely several times to stop. The same group starts at 7 in the morning moving suitcases and chatting for an hour and a half on the same terrace, with no respect for us other visitors, and nothing done by the management of the hotel. We occupy a deluxe suite which was not cleaned yesterday until 4.30 pm, and the cleaning lady asked us not if we want something- soap, etc, but did not bother to come in to clean. There is definitely room for improvement… Else, the hotel has a fabulous location and pretty reasonable prices, but this stay is a deterrent for us to come back.

I booked this hotel for the Christmas vacation through a travel agency and fully paid one month in advance. They gave us a room with broken windows. When raised our concern the receptionist shrugged and said she cannot help us as the place is full, all she can do is turn up the heater... We had to leave and find a different place in the evening. Still haven’t received a refund. I was royally screwed. It was room 20, avoid this place.

Apparently, this was once the home of a wealthy family which has been converted to a very nice hotel. We had a lovely room with a comfortable double bed. There was a second bed in an ante room too. The bathroom was modern with an excellent shower. There is no lift in this hotel. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food. The hotel is opposite the main square in Brasov. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is a gorgeous old palace, but with that comes old palace quirks. The steps to the upper floor were slightly uneven, and even after a few days they still caught me out occasionally. The rooms also had no built-in air conditioning, but the staff had brought in a water filled unit for a bit of relief from the heat. The unit did however make the room air very humid. The room itself was nice and spacious with a private bathroom. The bed was big and very comfortable - I have a very bad back so hotel beds can be a challenge. Breakfast was great and varied, and the coffee was delicious! Every staff member we spoke to was very friendly and accommodating. I would've loved to see some more traditional Romanian breakfast items, as the selection was quite continental.
