I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the room change that occurred during my stay at High Country Motor Inn Bright. I had booked a 2 bedroom Family Suite for one night on the 24th of April 2023, and upon arrival, I was informed that I had been given a single family room instead. When I walked up to the reception to enquire about the change, I was shocked to hear that they were already expecting this complaint, indicating that this is not an isolated issue. The lady at the reception informed me that instead of charging me the X amount for the 2 bed room suite that I had booked, they charged me the Y amount, assuming that I would be happy with the change. However, this assumption is incorrect, as I had booked the 2 bedroom Family Suite in advance and expected to stay in that room. I was disappointed that the hotel staff did not discuss the change with me prior to my arrival and just made changes without informing me. As a customer, I expect better hospitality and communication from the hotel staff. I understand that issues can arise, but it is important to inform customers prior to making changes to their bookings. The lack of transparency in this matter has left me dissatisfied with the hotel's services and the quality of hospitality. I advise future guests to be cautious while booking rooms at High Country Motor Inn Bright and ensure that they confirm their room reservations before arrival.
