Stayed in Kappadokia room, booked via Secret Escapes for 2 nights bed, breakfast and £40 per person towards evening meal on both nights. A beautiful boutique manor house with fabulous period features and gorgeous grounds. Everything exuded opulence and the staff were always helpful and friendly. Dinner could be chosen from a standard menu or a la carte. Both menus were of an exceptionally high standard. We chose dishes from each, and it was all sublime. Coupled with the surroundings, it felt like we were eating at a Michelin starred restaurant. For breakfast there was plenty of choice and it was all cooked to perfection. On arrival, we had a minor issue when the room above us allowed their roll-top bath to overflow! We had an impromptu shower in our bathroom as a result, but this was dealt with promptly and with much apology by the staff, who also ensured that the issue would not be repeated and gave us complimentary drinks to atone for the inconvenience. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here, and we were also given a tip that if you find a deal online, please call the hotel before booking because they may be able to match or exceed it if you book directly with them.

Stayed as a solo female! Easy online checkin & staff behaved more like a host. Beautiful & clean rooms that struck a balance between being warm & grand. Enjoyable grounds & dining. Staff are friendly & helpful. 10/10 recommend the Berwick!!

Hotel is quaint and quirky. Food and restaurant very very good. Cleanliness, Grounds, Parking, Bathroom are all more than adequate. The Room very dated and whilst I accept the furniture was “distressed in look”, it did need TLC. Clean and tidy but an update needed. My real gripe was that the drinks selection I was offered was disappointing. I wanted an Ale or a beer. I was told only two types of lager available, both 330ml, cider but no beer. And at those prices one was enough.

Last night I went to Berwick Lodge for the first time for an overnight stay and a 3 course meal with my loved one. We arrived early and had a seamless check in and entered our room which was the Lydia Suite. The room was honestly stunning and looked like something from a French Chateau with all matching majestic furniture and a view of the garden and even across the water to Wales. The bed was so comfortable and felt more like a cloud than a mattress and the bathroom was just beautiful with a freestanding bath and beautiful tiled floors. We went down early for a drink in the lobby whilst we pondered over the menu with cocktails and nibbles and then we were taken through to the dining room and had crab to start, trout and tortelini and my other half had steak. Honestly the whole experience was just a perfect little getaway and it was a shame we had to check out quite early to get home. Unfortunately we missed the breakfast but the staff and owner even offered to send us home with some pastries since we missed it. Can't wait to come back again!

Staying in room Karia overlooking some of the extensive grounds for two nights was such a treat. Decorated eclectically with huge very comfortable bed and the shower is powerful with both overhead and handheld. The gardens are marvellous with a vista over towards Wales, large fountains, an orchard and aviary, all beautifully maintained with no-mow areas. Fresh flowers are used extensively around the hotel and there’s a living wall in reception. The staff are all noticeably well trained (a mention to Ben who served us drinks from the bar and also was our waiter on one of the evenings)- our evening meals were excellent with a choice of A la carte or a bistro menu - good to be able to mix and match. The trout dish with ribbons of courgette and capers was notable, and the fat triple cooked chips were the best ever!. The attention paid to the smallest detail sets this hotel aside.

Absolutely awesome stay. Room was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The whole place was stunning. All the staff we had interactions with were fantastic and they had a real passion to ensure your stay was relaxing and enjoyable. I’ve seen prior comments describe Berwick Lodge as a hidden gem and no truer words said. Amazing place and couldn’t recommend highly enough. Thank you to all.

Booked for afternoon tea the location and atmosphere is so relaxed the presentation of the choice of teas and the sandwiches could not be faulted The building and the interior rooms made for a relaxing special occasion the food was fresh tasty and well presented nothing to fault Will definitely be returning

This is a very comfortable and relaxing boutique hotel . Rooms are large and individual . It’s perfect for a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of Bristol but only 25 minutes away by car. The highlight of this establishment is the staff , every single one of them , from front desk to the restaurant and the ladies that attended to the rooms, were friendly , professional and happy without being intrusive in any way. A huge tribute to the owners and the brand. Highly recommended and will return without fail. Thank you for looking after us.

We got married here on Monday (non exclusive intimate package) and had the best day/stay! The team at Berwick Lodge were so kind and attentive, and it was so easy to organise particularly when we only started the process in late August! Magdalena took care of everything and we pretty much just had to turn up which was perfect for us! We can't thank everyone enough for making it so special for us, we can't wait to come again to the restaurant or afternoon tea because the grounds and hotel are gorgeous - our guests all said it was the best wedding food they'd had! Thanks so much Berwick Lodge ❤️
