Roseleigh

One of if not THE best B&B’s we’ve stayed in. Everything was wonderful from location to comfort of rooms, quality of breakfast and friendliness of staff. We loved the a**osphere of a traditional old house right in the middle of Buxton with everything in easy walking distance. The owner greeted us outside to help with parking and spent a lot of time talking us through Buxton’s history and even gave us a superb route through the countryside back down to the M6 Toll Road. People often say it but ‘definitely be back’!

This place is adorable and just what we needed after a few days of nonstop exploring in London. The owners are amazing and very attentive to guests. (My friend asked for cream with her coffee, and the gentleman explained that they don’t keep it in hand as it’s a rare request and ends up going bad but they have milk. She was perfectly fine with that - and only asked for cream because she thought it was more common and didn’t want to be an inconvenience. He went to the store anyway and bought cream for her!) Room was very comfortable and spacious. Gorgeous views of the pavilion park. Convenient walk to some pubs and shops. At the end of our evening, we sat in the cozy sitting room for a bit with Paddington before bed. Parking was very easy too. Overall - highly recommend for your Peak District stay!

Perfect in every way , attention to detail is amazing . Gerard and Maggie run a lovely establishment, very friendly and welcoming , if and when we come back again we will stay here . The parking is a benefit and the close proximity to the town centre is a perfect bonus. Gerard is a real font of knowledge about the area. If you happen to be visiting on a Friday go into the Devonshire dome the acoustics are amazing. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in and nearly missed breakfast as we slept in! You will not regret booking this fab welcoming b&b

A really great guest house in a quiet location, a short walk along the side of the park to the centre of town. We were in room 9 - lovely view across the park and lake. It was very a clean room, good en-suite, very comfy & large bed. Breakfast room was large and well laid out, again with views across the lake. Lovely large breakfast room, good service with well laid out table for juices, cereals, fruit, yogurts and conserves. The cooked breakfast was delicious with local produce - plus plenty of toast! We had an excellent 3 day stay at Roseleigh.

A return trip to The Roseleigh. We were remembered and welcomed. As ever the accommodation was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and the cooked breakfast was tasty and served promptly. Lovely location next to the lake. A good choice of local places to walk to for an evening meal and the Roseleigh gave helpful advice on where to go.

Roseleigh Guest House is situated in an idyllic setting off a quiet road. Some bedrooms overlook the small lake in Pavilion Park and you can see all the interesting wildlife that it supports. The Roseleigh is only a few minutes’ walk from the Buxton Opera House and most of this is on a non traffic road. This will be the fourth time my wife and I have stayed at the Roseleigh; it is our first choice when looking for accommodation in Buxton. The quality of fittings and fixtures inside the Roseleigh is one of the best we have seen in a guest house. The breakfast food is delicious; there is also information provided on which local suppliers they use. When you book Roseleigh they send detailed information about what to do in Buxton and the restaurants they would recommend. All the staff at Roseleigh are friendly and helpful.

This is a perfect B&B. Large double rooms, en suite, large double bed, built in wardrobe and separate chest of drawers. Excellent traditional English breakfast served by friendly and efficient staff. Instant hot water at the sink and shower. The hotel is on the Broad Walk facing the Pavilion Lake. No disturbance from traffic, only from geese and ducks! Lots of advice available for tourists unfamiliar with Buxton and/or the Peak District.

Such a friendly greeting from the owner. Everywhere was spotless, our room was enormous and a lovely comfy king-size size bed. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice, I just had the porridge and toast but my husband had the scrambled egg and smoked salmon as it was good Friday and we don't eat meat on that day, but there was an option of a cooked breakfast which all looked good. The hotel was in prime location of all pubs and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely return, think we have found our go to place finally in Buxton. Thanks for a lovely stay

A nice one night's stay last week when visiting for work. Spotlessly clean room, comfy bed, good location, good breakfast, lots of parking, informative hosts. Nothing not to like! Well worth a stay when visiting Buxton, could come back again.
