Great location and that’s it ……housekeeping is an outside company and is not great rooms not very clean ……Breakfast DO NOT take the 10 am slot as they don’t replenish everything but a tall manager with glasses comes every day around 10.30 am and fills up a big plate and walks across to an office…not a great example for the staff….Austrian bfast girls are very sweet. No internet for two days or cable for one night….they nickel and dime you to death ….not going back!

Great hotel - amazing setting, good breakfast, nice rooms, super friendly staff. They make a true effort with children, too. There is a special kids room and child-friendly food at the breakfast buffet. The pool is warm, very nice. One criticism, if any, would be that the beach restaurant should also serve food (why not, would be so easy?). We were very happy here and would always return.

Arrived without a reservation and got a nice room with beach and sea view. Beautiful swimming pool. Pity that restaurant was fully booked and all restaurants nearby were closed on Monday We took a tapas “ dinner” which was reasonable but staff was too busy and not that well trained as some orders did not arrive within reasonable time

Found the Blanketop hôtel last minute. Had never been to Cadzand. Candles everywhere and all day, great breakfast. Sea view room and a top class spa and trea**ents. Could not thank enough the staff at the reception and at the spa. Thanks to Leonie, I was able to relief tension in my back. Did I mention the sauna and pool? Will come back again. Thank you!

Overall we had a very nice stay and the room had a great sea view. We sat on the balcony furniture to see the sun go down, which was lovely though a very hard sit in. And only, the last day you find out that the chair cushions were in the top cupboard. Toiletries had a nice scent, but were packed in a sort of old fashioned tooth-paste tube, which is very environmentally unfriendly. The wellness area was a 'silent area', but when I went to swim two small children were alone in the pool and not only made a lot of noise but also could barely swim. Asked in Dutch the person who was mopping the floors whether children were allowed to be unsupervised and that I was not planning to do any rescuing activities. She didn't speak Dutch and was not responsible, so nothing happened... A lot of young staff did not speak Dutch, which is not a problem, but this is Zeeland, not Amsterdam, and it is annoying that you start speaking Dutch (I am in the Netherlands, right) and they don't understand you. Not even simple things like "can I have the menu..." Another thing, small but still annoying, no Netflix or Prime connectivity to the TV. After a day of walking and swimming you want to relax with an episode of your favourite series and all you can do is watching the channels you never watch at home either. This is an expensive hotel, so you have high expectations, and they were not completely met, alas.

It’s very pretty and modern, overall good with a variety of tasty food (incl. vegetarian) and lacks on details to be great. Even though it’s new & kids friendly, the pool tiling is dangerously slippery. The staff are almost exclusively very lowskilled teenagers or tweens. Despite ‚do not disturb’ signal on, each day the cleaning staff did disturb while the cleanliness is not quite meeting expectations for this price point. The advertised kidscare relies on 90 min tv sessions and is better suited for kids ＞5 if the parents want to eat relaxed & childfree. So all boxes are ticked but not consistently thought through and/or executed. The room we booked fitted the category with a spacious bathroom, balcony and amenities. Bed is very comfortable with amazing view to the beachfront. Location is perfect as is the car access/ garage concept. We believe Le sommet aims for a Michelin star with the amuse bouche & dessert already meeting that category, while the mains mostly look like it, still the pricing is fair and worth it. The guests/a**osphere is a charming balance of all age groups and family constellations; no jetset and no flodders.

Last week we went to this hotel to celebrate my birthday. We received a glass of Cava when we arrived and there were ballons in our room. So far so good and much appriciated. We had the cosy landview room for €235. However for this price I expected more! The room was okay. When we came in the painting was tilted and it did not looked like the room was very well cleaned. There was a nail!!! on my bed side and multiple hairs. When I wanted to shower I took the little shampoo and conditioner from the sink...and they were used. That is really not done! Especially not in these COVID times . When I opened them, water came out and I saw that there was no seal on it anymore. When I went to reception to talk about this, the lady did not gave me a positive feeling and even gave me the feeling that she did not believe me from the way she looked at me. She asked me what I want them to do for me and later on she asked me if they should Clean the bed. The way she asked and said this, was not in the helpful way and more annoyed. I said that I think that she should not ask what I want them to do but that she gave a solution. Unfortanately she was not helpful so I left the reception. Later when we got back in the room There was a bottle cava waiting. Of course that was nice, but I do not understand that she could not say that when I was at the reception. Next morning we had breakfast. We liked it that the breakfast had products of Hipp for children & cava for breakfast. But the breakfast could have been more extensive. This was in our opinion to simple. When we checked out, it was with the same lady as the day before. However she did not ask how our stay was, if we liked the cava, if the problems were solved etc! This is not very friendly and hospitable unfortanately. It was dissapointing unfortanately. The hotel is beautiful and direct at the beach and you can parc your car for free. Our room was not great, maybe a more expensive room is.

The building is beautiful, the views over the sea breathtaking, the design of high standard. But you did get the feeling that the venue was overpriced because the hospitality was just basic. Not unfriendly (with one exception) but places like this are made really special by staff that you feel will go any extra mile for you (even if you never have to ask). That was not the case. So: di we have a good time ? Yes, we always do. Was the hotel worth the quite high price ? On the basis of the service level certainly not.
