Hotel Club Es Talaial

During my stay (April) was cold weather and heating was not working. Everything other was excellent. Price/quality, food, entertainment, hotel staff, etc.

Upon our arrival at the reception the hotel looked nice, pleasant reception area and that’s where it ends or starts with my review. Reception. We booked a suite and upon arrival we were told we know you booked a suite but there are none available until tomorrow. We were persuaded to have a superior room for the night and they would refund us the difference. That’s €6/7 for the night. Approximately the price of a pack or Oreo’s in the supermarket but I’ll get to that. 3/10 Room 1. So upon entering the “new” Superior room we were talked into for the night it was obvious there was nothing superior about it. It was an average bedroom with 2 single beds and living room with a sofa bed already turned into a bed with a mattress thinner than Homer Simpson hairline. Ended up sleeping on an oversized ottoman as it was more comfortable than the sofa bed. Morning came and I woke after sleeping on practically an ironing board I stretched off to go and swap rooms. the lady on reception did give me the key for the new room and I was refunded the difference between rooms for the weekend totalling €67 wasn’t expecting it but least they could do after giving my room away. 1/10 New Room. Got to the new room, cleaner was still in there. So we stood outside for 20 minutes whilst she finished up, now I love a clean room more than the next man but just don’t give me the key if it’s not ready. Anyway, Walked in, pleasantly surprised. Room was clean obviously, spacious and what we had paid for. Master bedroom looked nice, super king size 4 poster bed, infinity mirror feature and an actual mattress. 2nd bedroom was okay too, 2 single beds but separated, not like your typical room with the single beds pushed together. However the toilet situation is one that cannot be explained. It was basically an old BT Phonebox from the UK with some protective glazed paper covering the part where you sit and do your business. There was no lock on the door and to make things worse, it was on a hinge that didn’t close correctly. So we all spent the week holding the door for somebody else whilst they were in the toilet so you didn’t see everybody in their glory. And to top it off there was barely room to fit in this telephone box as it was tighter than a ducks backside. Overall new room was okay but the toilet killed it off. 1/10 Pool. Pool area was massive, giant pool with a kids pool round the back and a splash area for kids too next to another kids pool. Kids pools were all okay plenty to do for 2- 7 year olds not much for the older kids or adults. The adult pool had a shallow end of 1.5 metres and a deep end of 2.5 metres. So no shallow end. There was also a big tree overlooking the pool. With the many seagulls hanging around and Landing on the branches the pool was full of tree branches, and what looked like bird foul and weirdly enough polystyrene balls everywhere. We stayed here from 9-18th October. We had a brilliant family holiday with our three children aged 7, 5 & 3yrs. The entertainment team were brilliant. Staff throughout the hotel worked extremely hard and were all very approachable. They always made the kids smile especially the staff in the restaurant. The food was plentiful, something for everyone, none of us ever felt hungry as there was always a variety of choice. The snack bar at the pool area was a great hit with the kids, as well as the ice cream and slushies. We spent a lot of time at the splash pool area, so much so that the kids didn't want to leave the hotel to see more of Cala Dor! They were so entertained from morning until night that they didn't want to go anywhere else, and that's really saying something. Our room was a 2 bed apartment, which was clean, tidy, spacious, and the air con worked well. We were on the first floor and had large balconies at both sides. The cleaners came 9 days out of 10 and we always had fresh towels. There is a beautiful small beach right across the road which we also loved. We will definitely return next year. An excellent value family holiday in which we made amazing memories to last a lifetime!

I had a fantastic 2 weeks here. The hotel had friendly staff. The rooms were in a good state and were cleaned often. There was a good variety of food but some of the food can be improved on, the drinks and ice cream were really good .The animation team had very fun activities for all ages to partake in everyday except Monday. The animation team also had good shows every night. The pool was clean and a good depth. I would definitely come back next year.

Got home today from a wonderful week at es talial. This place is really big and we were delighted to have a ground floor room, (more like a little bungalow with a garden at the front) right by the splash pool drinks bar and snack bar, perfect for us having 2 toddlers, one of them having cerebal palsy. The rooms were a good size (5 of us) and the beds were really comfy with the cleaning ladies coming in nearly every day. The food was ok, standard 3 star AI none of us went hungry and the toasties, burgers, chips etc at the snack were all good. Slush machine and ice cream machine was a bonus, especially in the afternoon when it got really hot in the sun. Every member of staff from reception, restaurant, bars, cleaners and entertainment were all so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The whole place had a really great friendly vibe about it and everybody there seemed to be enjoying themselves. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for grown ups on their own but would 100% recommend it if you were looking to take the kids for a fun filled, child orientated holiday, we are looking forward already to going back next year 🥰

We went with myslef and husband 3 kids afe 7, 4, and 3. We had a basic room and it was spotless couldn't complain at all it's only to shower and sleep in but plenty of room. Pools were great my 3 enjoyed the slides in both pools, big pool was deep but going in with parents was absolutely fine. All inclusive drinks great can't complain beer, wine, gin slashes mocktails all soft drinks. Have to buy a cup but they clean or swap for you and can claim your 1 euro back, other option can take a bigger cup with you, this is allowed. Animation team were amazing especially trini but all the staff were great, kids club was a massive hit plus the mini disco and shows. Thur the foam party was a bonus. It was getting more busy around 17/18th June as we was leaving but could still manage to get sunbeds at 9am. If have to check out at 11 yoh can keep hold of your bands for food and drink Beach down the road 1 min walk was out of this world if you like beaches. Only slight downfall the transfer is over an hour but didn't cause an issue. We as a family of 5 had an amazing time!

We had a fantastic family holiday at this hotel! It’s perfect for families, with plenty of swimming pools and sunbeds. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel very welcome. The restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious food, and the staff there were also very polite and friendly. The location is excellent with lots to do for families who enjoy sightseeing. Highly recommend!

These reviews do not do the hotel any justice! We had read the reviews and was a bit worried what our experience would be like, however we had a great time and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was! Reception staff were lovely and super helpful. Amazing hotel for kids, they couldn't possibly get bored. Breakfast was amazing, 10/10 pancakes! Dinner and lunch were good, it did get a bit repetitive though. Snack bar toasties were so good, other food from their was also good. The location of the hotel is amazing, 2 minute walk from the beach, 2 minute walk to a gorgeous swim spot & a 2 minute walk from a little town. Overall we had a great 5 day break and made the most of the all inclusive hotel.

Went here 2 years ago and loved it, this year we have had a different experience. The shower doesn't even dribble, so unless you are bald take a good hour to try and get your hair wet. I emailed in advance asking if a late checkout was possible and was told we would have to wait until the day before we left in order to check availability. (Our flight is 10 hours after checkout) so i waited and asked, no availability which is fair enough UNTIL 2 couples (with same rooms) at the pool told us they had managed to book when they requested on day one of their stay. The buffet is adequate, however after 3 days you will want to go elsewhere as it is very similar every night. If you want a ‘snack’ at the snack bar be prepared for a 30 minute wait most times. The staff are amazing and accommodation nice for the price, however the clientele leave a lot to be desired, no one appears to say please or thank you and would run over your child to get to the buffet. Finally people put towels on beds at 7 in the morning and wonder down at 2pm for 40 minutes (like a lot of places) however it is not monitored at all as the lifeguard appears to be ‘on call’ from a bar up the stairs. We LOVED it our first visit, however after this experience we will not be back.
