Hotel la Torre

I am literally sitting here right now writing this review because the air absolutely doesn’t work. I got here to check in hours ago, They made me sit there waiting for the room to cool down for an hour and a half before giving me another, more inferior room. In the meantime, my friend and I started sneezing and coughing because it’s SO musty. When they FINALLY changed our room, it was still so hot and they didn’t even offer us any discount or any compensation whatsoever for the major inconvenience and wasted time. I’m sitting in my room Instead of at the dinner i booked and had to cancel because I couldn’t shower and get ready because it was so incredibly hot. DO NOT COME HERE

This review is for the restaurant only, we were not staying at the hotel. When we arrived my partner popped to the loo whilst I looked around for a menu and someone to acknowledge we were there. Two people, an older woman and a man looked at me as though I was dirt. Still looking around, I asked for a menu....the woman walked over to the menus...opened it, just about in front of my face and said something like 'this is the menu' At that point my partner arrived and we went to find a table. Just as we were about to sit down the woman said, rudely! 'the restaurant is closed' NEVER AGAIN!

We returned to this lovely family run hotel, in a fabulous location on a headland overlooking the pretty seaside village of Calella de Palafrugell in Catalunya, for a week long holiday last month (September 2022). Four of us, after a lovely holiday there last year - and my own seventh or eighth visit there! As good as ever! From lovely fresh breakfasts on the terrace looking back over the bay of Canadell to the village to the beautifully cooked and presented dinners on the same terrace! And since my last review - pre-pandemic closedown! - the hotel has installed air conditioning! The quietness and peace of the hotel is balanced by the action and liveliness on the adjacent terrace of the Bar 3 Pins, which appears to be the main meeting place for much of the village. Not sure whether they are in the same ownership - they share the same dramatic site and therefore views - but they definitely compliment each other!

Hôtel avec parking en terre. Très agréable. Chambre pas très grande avec décoration un peu ancienne. Le placard se ferme avec un bout de carton donc pas top. La plage est au pied de l'hôtel donc super pratique. Il y a un bar qui ouvre tard aussi donc très pratique.

Endroit magique.. Petite chambre très confortable, bonne literie, ultra propre, au calme avec une vue sur la crique fabuleuse. Personnel très professionnel, accueil tellement chaleureux.. Petit déjeuner au top sur une terrasse à la vue extraordinaire sur la mer.. Nous avons adorés et je recommande vivement cet hotel. Prenez vue mer, c'est sûr, plus cher mais ça vaut franchement le coup.

Emplacement magnifique avec terrasses surplombant la mer et accès direct à la plage Le petit déjeuner est parfait et complet, avec jus d orange frais, le café face a la baie est un réel plaisir Par contre la chambre est minuscule et vieillissante Et le restaurant était fermé Bon, vu les prix exorbitants des restaurants de Calella, nous aurions bouge de toutes façons Je reste toutefois sur le positif de l emplacement de rêve et y reviendrait certainement
