Sol Palmanova

We had a great time at this hotel so don't let the bad reviews put you off. The location is fantastic. Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach which is beautiful and so clean. Plenty of shops and restaurants all in walking distance. The hotel itself was so clean although the rooms are quite small if your a family with children but you just make it work as your not in the room for long anyway. The pool area is always clean and tidy but can be very busy in half terms which is what we expected anyway, so can be a tight squeeze with all the sun beds pushed together but with a choice of pools and children's splash pool there was always space somewhere. We thought the food was pretty good for an all inclusive hotel, especially the breakfast and the fresh donuts went down a hit too ! The top selling point for this hotel has to be the entertainment team. They go above and beyond to make sure your entertained all through the day and night. There really is something for everyone and they are amazing with the kids. All the activities were so fun and alot of fun to watch if you didn't fancy joining in yourself. After reading so many negative reviews before we went I was very unsure if we had made the right choice but I can now say we would go back in a heart beat. This hotel has everything you would need for a family holiday and we loved it !

The resort is so short staffed that those working are rude and poor mannered.. The food is shocking. Like really bad. See the photos. Hygiene in the restaurant is awful. The resort is over crowded, it's like a cattle market, particularly at meal times.

Really liked this hotel nice staff clean room food was lovely didn’t disappoint in them areas entertainment was great when you actually got a seat but the Sunbed situation is ridiculous people putting towels down from the night before and not even using them in the day time coming late afternoon twice we had to sit on bar stools and the fact your going down at 6:30 in the morning and just about get a deck chair is not fair also the night entertainment area people are leaving the Sunbed’s then putting their towels on the chairs before going to their room how is this fair we ended up missing most entertainment as there was no seating the children actually had to sit on the floor the first few nights after that we went out most nights they really need to sort this out because it’s a lovely hotel but it has put us off on returning

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times now over the past few years. It’s certainly not the best all inclusive around, but for a 3 star hotel it’s perfectly fine. The reception, restaurant, bars and pool area are really good. They do get busy, but we always found a space by the pool or bar even if arriving later in the day. The bar does the usual selection of drinks you’ll get at an all inclusive hotel, all local drinks however you can pay more for premium drinks and snacks at the bar. The cocktails were quite nice and improved on my previous visit as they now use fruit juices rather than just a pre mixture out of a machine. I have to say the rooms are probably a little bit basic and outdated. And could do with a bit of refurbishment. But they are perfectly fine, they were cleaned daily, the air con worked well and it had a fridge which was great for putting drinks and bits in. My room overlooked the pool and the sea.

Just got back from a great holiday here. All was what you would expect from a all inclusive,food was catered for all tastes in my opinion,the snack bar was also quite varied in Choices. May I say that the entertainment team was brilliant to my five year old ,he was quite overwhelmed in the first day or so when we go there but by the end he was going to kids club twice a day and loving the evening entertainment,so thanks to all the entertainment team.

Just returned from a week at the hotel with my wife and 2 year old son. Been to Palma Nova and Magaluf many times over the years and have to say it’s a fantastic place to visit. This is the first time we have stayed in this hotel and we were very impressed. We’ve only in the last couple of weeks returned from a huge 5 star resort in Cancun so this was always going to be a tough ask for this hotel to live up to. Have to say though, in many ways it did and with the food it surpassed it! We got off to an iffy start with the aircon in the room not working, it was roasting! Reception got someone one on it immediately but the workman left a gaping hole in the ceiling with the missing tiles left on the floor, not ideal with a 2 year old. He soon returned to fix this though and this was the end of any problems throughout the whole week. The aircon after this was superb! The room itself was relatively small but always cleaned every day by the superb floor 9 team! There was a fridge and kettle in the room, the one thing I did miss though was that there was no bath! Onto the food, have to say it’s one of the best I’ve had from a all inclusive, always plenty of selection and more importantly, always fresh and HOT, the one thing that couldn’t have been said from our recent Cancun trip. The desert was also brilliant and the donuts and cakes actually tasted how they looked!!! The staff, especially round the pool and entertainment team are a credit to the hotel. They also have a really good and handy snack hut for food throughout the day. Superb location basically right in between Palma Nova and Magaluf, less than a five minute walk from Palma Nova beach which is amazing! All in all a great holiday and very good value for money hotel!

We are a small family two adults and a toddler. Our room was so small and stuffy. There are only 2 lifts for levels 3-9 (we were on level 3) which can only hold up to 3 people. Every time we waited for the lift to come down, we could never get in the lift due to constant people in them. We had to resort to using the stairs all the time. Not ideal with a buggy. There is a large outdoor seating area that you are not allowed to eat in. This was pointless as the only places to eat was the canteen or the snack bar. The snack bar is located right next to large outdoor seating area so this didn’t make sense to not eat there and enjoy the Majorcan sunshine. Food was ok in the main canteen however the snack bar is awful. Staff aren’t very friendly. They come across that you are an inconvenience to them. We were glad to leave after 6 nights. The only good thing I can say was the location. We ate out more than we stayed in the hotel. Loads to choose from and a beautiful beach. I would like to go back to the area just not the hotel.

Just returned today from a great week at Sol palmanova. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, staff work hard and always friendly. Entertainment every night and various games throughout the day. Hotel is spotless. Our granddaughter loved the kids pool! We stayed in sol 1, our room was clean and had a beautiful pool view. Food was good with plenty of choice! Location of hotel is fantastic with the beautiful beach just out of the back gate, along with shops and bars to explore. Ignore the negative reviews. Sol palmanova, thanks for a lovely holiday! We would definitely return

We stayed in room 424 in Sol 2 for five nights. The room was small and there isn't much drying space for clothes on the balcony, however on the plus side plenty of storage including hangers. Room cleaned & towels changed daily. We didn't use the pool areas and spent time at the beach. Definitely recommend especially if the sun bed scramble isn't for you! the middle beach is reached within 5 mins (depending on how fast you walk) also worth visiting Son Matius beach (near JJs sports lounge - also recommend this place, we've visited for years since 2010). Food, I've read the fussy reviews and my advice is to ignore them. Nothing wrong with the food at all. Breakfast is 7:45 - 10:15, lunch is 12pm - 3pm and dinner is 6pm - 9:30 pm. You can also grab food from the snack bar all day. The all inclusive at the bar is until midnight & has a fantastic selection of drinks. The location is perfect for the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. All within walking distance. I'll add that this hotel is great for families. Big outdoor stage for the entertainment & lots of places to sit, although I can imagine it to be rammed during peak season. The cleaners do a great job & it's nice to smell that clean smell of bleach on the floors of the communal areas. Reception and bar staff were friendly. I'd recommend this hotel and it does what it says on the tin. We would consider staying here again. Thanks for a lovely stay!
