Premier Inn Falkirk Central

Hotel location reasonably convenient for attractions. A bit of a walk to the town centre. Breakfasts good, room decent. We ended up very disappointed though as we were looking forward to a relaxing meal and drinks in the hotel after a longish drive only to be told at check in that the restaurant was closed in the evenings. This was despite the fact that we had received an email several days before our arrival saying that some work was planned but we would still be able to enjoy dinner in the restaurant. The website also says that the restaurant is open. This put a real dampener on our trip as we had to traipse around Falkirk both nights of our stay in the cold dark winter evenings to find somewhere to eat. Most unsatisfactory service from Premier Inn. The local staff were very nice but didn’t or couldn’t resolve the issue.

Never stayed at a Premier Inn, so didn't know what to expect. However, this is situated in a nice central location and our room was clean and quiet, with a lovely mattress, so had a good night's sleep. There was also a good selection for breakfast too, so would most likely stay again!

Stayed here for 1 night.Room was clean and tidy, breakfast was lovely as all premier inns are.The only gripe was restaurant wasn't open for evening meal( not sure why not).However we found a nice restaurant/pub literally 5 minute walk away. All staff were friendly but especially the chap giving us a guided tour of the restaurant which is unusual but nice.

Reading previous bad reviews were a bit worrying but on arrival we found our room to be spotlessly clean and had no issues at all during our stay. We knew there wasnt dinner in the attached restaurant but booked breakfast there which was really good. The restaurant staff were great and helpful in answering questions. Reception staff too were fantastic. A shout out to the incredible Senga on reception. Great place to stay to see Falkirk Wheel and The Kelpies and if you ask for a room on the canal side it's a good view.

Very poor standards Hotel looked run down Restaurant was closed so had to find meals elsewhere Service was poor and having to wait over 40minutes for breakfast Would not recommend premier inn for future breaks. Not even asked where we would like to sleep just given the third floor which was not acceptable

Absolutely filthy place, dirtiest hotel I’ve attempted to stay ever in my life. I travelled from Newcastle with my family and arrived at 7pm to a girl on reception that said if we wanted our troop cleaning I should ask early the next day. I thought she meant change towels etc not actually clean room for us arriving. On going into lift we came out on floor 3 to meet a dust line around whole lobby area floor and I thought the room must be better, to my horror my 5 year old ran to the kids bed and said daddy I can’t stay in this room it smells of horses and I’m itchy. I pulled the bed out and saw an insect jump out of a pile of dust. Returning to reception, the receptionist didn’t even apologise or offer an alternative room, but instead handed me a card saying mail them and you’ll get your money back in a couple of weeks. What a joke! I then spent 2 hours looking for a suitable hotel and eventually the immaculate Travelodge next to the A9 saved the day.
