Hotel Royal Paestum

Hotel davvero consigliato. La location è molto curata in ogni particolare un design alla moda e ricercato, le stanze confortevoli e dotate di ogni confort, la colazione con prodotti di prima qualità e ricercati. Il servizio spiaggia incluso nel prezzo è un plus….

Royal Paestum Hotel is a nice classy resort. Everything is there to please you. A must see. A grest wedding place. Original lobby, beautiful gardens, nice pool. Room was nice and confortable. Owners and staff are there to please you. Breakfast is nice and healthy. A nice natural park, beachfronts hotels nearby, at walking distance. Archaeologic park a few kilometers away by car, adds to Paestum's charms.

Modern but very badly managed. No food (the restaurant is randomly closed two days per week AND if they have a wedding) and we weren’t allowed to use the swimming pool. We were told to walk a 1km round trip to a local pizza joint. The Michelin star restaurant they boast about on their website was also closed. The staff were often quite rude and we were shouted at angrily in Italian by one staff member to leave the pool area because they had a wedding. So no pool either. The shower head had a thick layer of dust on it. On balance the worst ‘4 star’ hotel in the galaxy. AVOID, there are much better hotels nearby.

Nice staff & area we have been relocated in the annex apartments. New structure, starred chef in the restaurant, nice gardens & pool.

The room was very small and not so clean

I was in this hotel with my girlfriend last week, I had booked a suite with a bathtub in the bedroom, upon delivery of the room I was given a suite with a jacuzzi, I thought it's okay, but unfortunately it did not work, and when I called the reception they replied that unfortunately it was not pretending and they could not do anything, then the morning breakfast a real disappointment very poor there was written international breakfast, but there was only 3 different juices, 1 yogurt, a cake and coffee and cappuccino, there were no eggs and cold cuts, and toast. I think I will not go back. a real shame because the structure is beautiful.

Driving from the Amalfi coast to see the amazing ancient temples in Paestum is highly recommended. When in Paestum, you can enjoy this trendy and sophisticated hotel, and the Michelin star restaurant attached to it (reviewed separately). The hotel offers clean and modernly designed rooms, fully equipped with all the amenities and include tasty breakfast for a very affordable price. Opt for the suite and enjoy in room bath, sparkling wine and some treats. The service was excellent and professional.

Nice clean rooms services each day, very nice pool outside but was in November so did not use it hovewer the weather was really nice :)

We booked an Executive Double Room for 2 nights in this hotel. The hotel is connected to Osteria Arbustico a Michelin star restaurant. During check-in we were told that the pool was closed for that day. There was a wedding venue the whole day and we found out that the guests occupied every space available so there was no room for the other guests that were staying at the hotel. No possibility to eat, to drink nothing. Our room was more that of a Motel. It was separated from the hotel in a block with other rooms. We had a view from our terras on the parking, garbage, airco units and clean wash hanging outside. The room was small and had a small dated shower. The second day we went to the pool. To our surprise we found broken glass, cigarettes, olives, cheese and whatever you can think of left behind by the beloved guests of the day before. During the day this was cleaned up as well as possible because this was too much for the regular cleaning staff. In the afternoon we were confronted with a new event in the hotel namely a communion with a lunch in the restaurant and bar. We decided to go to the beach to avoid the hotel again. When I asked the manager if they had given me the right room he reacted anoyed. I tried again by showing him a picture of my view and he confirmed that this is what I paid for. I didn't react anymore because I realized that this person had no clue on how to handle disappointed guests and he had absolutely no idea what the word service stands for. We didn't ask for anything special or a discount or whatever but not being taken serious was the main irritation that we had. Our advice: please check in advance if the hotel has no events and due to the manager we say that this is hotel is 2 star worthy.
