I am writing to provide feedback on our recent stay at your bed and breakfast establishment. While we were initially looking forward to our visit and spending our honeymoon here, we regret to inform you that our experience did not meet our expectations of cleanliness and hospitality. During our arrival, we were disheartened to observe significant dust accumulation throughout the premises. Notably, the kitchen surfaces exhibited visible dust, as evidenced by the attached photograph depicting the residue left after cleaning. Additionally, given my wife's allergies, we were concerned about detecting traces of cat hair on various surfaces within the accommodation, including the bedding, dresser, and bedside tables, as depicted in the provided images. In response to the presence of cat hair and human hair, we opted to replace the bedding with spare linens from a cupboard. However, this decision revealed further issues, namely, unpleasant odours and the substandard condition of the pillows, as illustrated in the accompanying photographs. Further disappointment arose upon inspecting the bathroom, where we encountered an old bar of soap and a soiled hand towel left neglected on the sink. Similarly, the kitchen area exhibited lapses in cleanliness, with unwashed bowls containing remnants of food and residual traces of jam and breadcrumbs left on the breadboard, as evidenced by the provided images. Moreover, the discovery of aged oil splatters and accompanying odours behind the cooker door detracted from our overall impression of the accommodation. Additionally, neglect of hygiene was evident beneath the sofa cushions, which appeared to have been overlooked during cleaning or vacuuming, as illustrated in the attached photos. Regrettably, our concerns were exacerbated by the confrontational and emotional demeanour displayed by the hostess during our interaction on the evening of our arrival. Despite our efforts to provide constructive feedback courteously, we were met with an unprofessional response that detracted from the overall experience. As proprietors of a bed and breakfast establishment ourselves, we understand the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. Therefore, we trust that our feedback will be received constructively and utilised to enhance the quality of service provided to future guests. Thank you for your attention to these matters.
