Mont Eco Game Reserve

Pauline and her team at Mont Eco went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. As a Vegan and being very difficult when it comes to food with a long list of food sensitivities they exceeded my expectations to make sure that I was catered for with delicious plant based foods. The Accommodation & the location is out of this world, giving you time to connect with nature and to recharge your batteries. The fire place was lit at the evenings to ensure you have a warm and cozy lodge to retire to. Pauline assisted us in the middle of a cold night without hesitation when we needed assistance. I can recommend Mont Eco without any hesitation.

Our entire experience at Mont Eco was absolutely exceptional, from the moment we made our initial inquiry to the day we sadly had to leave. My wife and I were blown away by how every staff member went out of their way to make sure we had the most magical stay. The lodge was pure luxury, the food was incredible, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The highlight, though, was the game drives. Our guide was fantastic—his knowledge and passion for wildlife made each drive unforgettable. We've made memories that will last a lifetime—thank you! We can't recommend staying here enough.

We were blessed to enjoy a few days at Mont Eco game reserve and it was a highlight of note in my life. What a perfect few days. From the unique and very comfortable accommodation, MasterChef type scrumptious meals to exciting game drives with very knowledgeable and humerouse game wardens. Could not ask for anything better. We recently visited Mont Eco and it was fantastic! I was so surprised that in an environment like "Little Karoo" you can struggle to see the wildlife. There was everything, from Springbuck to Elephants and most animals in-between, even a lioness that either thought I was food or she wanted to go on the game drive with us 😱. I don't blame her because the game drive vehicles are piloted by expert Game Rangers, and come with blankets and fleecey lined hooded ponchos. The guest rooms are serviced by very efficient "Chamber Maids". I know they were there because I saw them on the paths between the rooms, but they seem to magically clean the room every time you leave it. The evidence is in the cleaverly folded edge of the toilet paper. The staff in the lodge were also very visible and ready to help, direct, serve and chat. We felt like royalty. ♥️

We had a unique experience at Mont Eco Private Game Reserve in the Western Cape. We saw a variety of game including giraffe, eland, rhino, elephant, lion and buffalo in the most exquisite scenery. The guides were friendly and very knowledgeable. We were spoilt with excellent cuisine and luxurious accommodation. Attention to detail was incredible! Thank you to the staff who made this an unforgettable experience!

The game drives were amazing, with cozy blankets and ponchos for the nippy excursions. Our guide was friendly and extremely knowledgeable, making each drive educational and thrilling. The whole experience with Mont Eco, from initial enquiry and booking right through to departure, was exceptional. I took my 2 daughters, one of whom is autistic, and every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure we all had the most magical stay in the lodge. The accommodation is luxurious, the food delicious, staff incredibly friendly and helpful and the game driver was just superb with his knowledge and information. A lifetime of memories - thank you. Beautiful, brand new lodge designed with a lot of love of details and everything you need for a pleasant stay while everything is off-grid. The carefully designed luxury suites are more than spacious with especially beautiful bath and shower areas. The whole team was extremely friendly and have made us feel at home. During our game drives, the rangers Charlie and Professor taught us many exciting things about flora and fauna of the Klein Karoo. While you watch the most incredible animals, you can be sure that you won't be cold before sunrise or in case of bad weather since ponchos, blankets and hot water bottles are supplied. We particularly enjoyed the philosophy of the private game reserve, that focuses on a revitalization of the whole area and its‘ animals instead of generating a tourist sensation as can be seen in other reserves. Between the game drives, you can simply relax by the pool while being pampered by Nugent, Terence and Shaun and enjoy various lunch options or a sweet treat. All in all it was a perfect stay for us!

Wow..opened since March. This place is stunning. The lodge area is pristine and beautifully laid out, and the rooms are tastefully furnished, with a lot of hand crafted carpentry from the staff! The bath is a great experience . After a 30 km drive from the tar road , you find yourself in the middle of nowhere. The setting is beautiful , the silence is deafening, and although it was cold at night, the staff could not have given us a warmer welcome. The food is delicious, the game drives...fantastic. it is the Karoo, so game is relatively sparce, but that does not detract from the wonderful drives. Charlie and Innocent were our guides...entertaining, knowledgeable and considerate. Pauline, the experienced Operattions Nanager, oozes calm efficiency..clearly staff morale is high and they all thrive on looking after the guests. We loved it and will get back!
