B&B Domus Aurea

We had the double room with separate (but private) bathroom, but there is a lounge area and refreshments available for use too. Airy and cool, it felt very relaxed and private. Before our trip communication from Paola was fast and helpful. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Francesco and shown around the property, the rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, cleaning is done daily. We needed help with public transport (a bus to Correggio 20mins away) and they couldn't have been more helpful finding us the information, when we got stuck they really went over and above to get us where we needed to be. The B&B is a very short walk from a number of cafes so breakfast wasn't an issue, and lovely to walk out for an evening meal, right behind the main town square. We tried out our Italian and anyone we came across was very helpful and patient! We had beautiful pizzas at La Capannina (15 min walk) and delicious local, seasonal food at Noantri a Cherp (10 min walk) both a pleasant evening stroll away, Right opposite is Nonno Pep, lovely for a glass of something cold and snacks. We couldn't fault it!

Good location. Nice room decoration in historic building. Internet reasonably fast. Checkin smooth although lady who checked us in only spoke Italian. Good value for money. In case you checkout early you have to pay when checking in as nobody on duty early in the morning.
