We arrived at darkness. The hotel is very bad to find because there is no good marking. Even the Policia-Local could not describe the way to the hotel correctly because it is very bad to find. At the arrival we were reconciled by the very friendly staff. The room was suitable for the 4 stars, but could be a little bigger. The breakfast was very rich and the choice was very diverse. The service did not open any wishes. Summary: The price-performance ratio is correct. I will stay there again and can only recommend the hotel further.

Wow, an amazing hotel - perfectly located, whisper quiet and feels brand new. We arrived on a Saturday for 2nights exploring Girona and couldn't have been more delighted. Our room was a suite on level 5 (room 520) and it was sensational. A great lounge room, light and bright with a massive tv (the biggest I've ever seen in a hotel) and comfy couches, tea and coffee making facilities and a sliding door to the massive bedroom (allowing me to go to bed while my husband watched tv till late). The bedroom was great too - large, light and bright (but importantly with block out blinds) and there was also a massive tv in the bedroom (so I did watch some tv before falling asleep). Airconditioning in both rooms on separate units. Also a walk in wardrobe. The sleep quality was excellent as it's whisper quiet despite being located on a major road - the windows are double glazed. The bathroom had a great shower/bath with great water pressure and hot water. Big white fluffy towels. And the bathrooms was big too. Breakfast is served downstairs in a large, light and bright room. It's a buffet and has a great range of fresh meats and cheeses, pastries and hot items. Coffee is either freshly ground or a pod (your choice). There is a hidden rooftop bar and pool (not widely publicized) - on the sixth floor - and a great spot to see Girona and watch the sunset. The location is brilliant. Aldi, Lidl and Mercadona are all literally opposite the hotel (open everyday except Sunday). There is a Carrefour Express a 2minute walk away for Sundays. Great restaurants within walking distance (5-10minutes) - with our favourite La Gioia (a fantastic pizzeria - authentic wood fired pizzas and wonderful service). The old town (no cars) is a 10minute walk away - and I'd recommend walking there via the Parc de la Devesa which is just gorgeous (adjacent to a large tree lined street - perfect and safe to walk along and the park is great for kids, dogs and to just to relax). Parking is so easy. Free parking behind the Aldi and Lidl. Staff were fantastic - warm, friendly, helpful and importantly spoke multiple languages. Special shoutout to Alex, Julia and Roby (and the whole breakfast team). We loved our stay at Doubletree Girona and would definitely stay there again if visiting Girona - which is a great city to explore (and great to cycle in).

We loved the charm of this hotel in a perfect location just steps from the beach. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The cleanliness was irreproachable. The rooms are small but very comfortable. The restaurant offered a large and varied buffet which changed every day. The swimming pool is lovely but not child friendly as there is no shallow end. A car is a necessity to visit the surrounding areas. If I must say something negative then it would be the absence of a coffee machine in the room. A full length mirror would be welcome and a shelf under the bathroom basin is a necessity. Make sure to request a side sea facing room as there is a construction site just in front of the hotel and the view must surely be spoilt by this. Highly recommend. We will be returning.

Hotel económico con todo lo necesario. Al lado de la autopista. Limpio. Las sábanas blancas y limpias, colchones y almohadas cómodos. El desayuno básico y correcto. El personal muy amable y correcto. Un saludo para la chica que estaba en recepción y preparaba a veces el desayuno que tenía un pañuelo en la cabeza. Siempre sonreía. Permiten perros. Y es fantástico que hay café e infusiones gratuitas. La pequeña pega que le pongo, es que el baño tiene la puerta y un poco de pared de cristal opaco, pero molesta con los ruidos y la luz, si el acompañante duerme. Pero aún así repetiremos en nuestra próxima visita a Girona.

I liked the hotel so much. I was so impressed because I didn´t expect anything but the hotel was really good! I had 3 nights and it was am amazing stay for me. I decided to spend my birthday in Tossa. The hotel provided (thank the boy at the reception; your care is appreciated a lot) a really good room with the a nice garden view. There is a big and beautiful magnolia grows there. The hotel gave me a birthday present. It was a small bottle of cava. Mmmm. THANKS a lot for attention. It was so nice from your side. The room was big with the perfect king size bed. I had a cleaning service everyday! Breakfast was so tasty and it was a right decision to included it in my stay. The hotel is clean everywhere. There are some paintings ang nice things hanging on walls. Also, there is a swimming pool on the 4th floor. I attach a photo. The atmosphere there is so relaxed. There is a bar there. You can spend some time in the pool taking sun baths, reading books with cocktails! I recommend this hotel for your stay! Don't forget to include breakfast :) Enjoy your stay as I did! A beautiful week in May. Superb service, very high standards all round.All the staff were faultless. Special mentions to Ingred our breakfast lady, Reception ladies, Patricia and Alejandro, and Albert in charge off the pool areas all superbly over seen by Mr Soreto. Our trip was wonderful….we will be back.

Last minute trip so options were limited when booking but pleased with the choice. Room was comfortable but the air conditioning didn’t seem to work but it was not a big deal as it was cool enough anyway. Bathroom was fine but the shower would leak on to the floor. Breakfast was at a local cafe just a minute walk along the road and was pretty good. The coffee there was very good on both days. You also had a choice of sandwiches or pastries. Overall a good stay and would come back again if I’m Girona.
