Wij zijn net terug van een vakantie bij Camping Le Palme. We stonden met onze caravan op de 'luxere plekken' beneden. De plekken waren ruim en schaduwrijk. In de buurt was een toiletgebouw. De heren faciliteren waren onlangs vernieuwd (incl heerlijke regendouche). De dames gelegenheden waren helaas wat verouderd. Je ziet echter aan alles dat ze de boel langzaam zijn aan t renoveren. Pluspunten: het leuke animatieteam, de glijbanen bij t zwembad, de centrale ligging (met auto alles goed te doen, op de fiets naar paschiera ook), de compactheid van de camping en het is er lekker rustig. Nadelen: het strandje recht voor de camping is niet fijn. Het water is vol slijk en het stinkt. Om de hoek achter de haven is het echter heerlijk vertoeven.

The fabric of the hotel is very good. Clean and fresh and so it should be as I believe it has recently been refurbished. If you want a hotel where there is daytime/night time entertainment this is not for you. It is generally a quiet relaxing hotel. Children are allowed but they will have to provide their own entertainment. There are three pools, one in the spa, one adults only and one that children can use. The pool bar was not in operation while we were there. The hotel is a 50 min walk from the town of Lazise on reasonable paths that are shared with cyclists. But you take your life in your own hands as the cyclists and scooter riders just fly past with no warning. A taxi into town costs 15-20 euro. There is no shuttle bus at the hotel even though it indicates there is on the trip advisor hotel listing. And to the reviewer who says it is a 5 min walk to the lake..you are wrong. I would say it is at least 15 mins and that includes a shortcut through a vineyard and a campsite. The rooms are a decent size. Storage for clothes could be improved with more drawer/shelf space. There is a fridge (no mini bar) which on arrival has two bottles of water in. It seems pot luck as to whether the water is replenished. A good size TV but maybe only 3 English channels (news). The bedside lamps are quite dim...not enough light to read by. All rooms have a balcony or terrace for ground floor. There was no milk to make hot drinks. We purchased some from the local supermarket. Breakfast is more or less typical for a holiday hotel. Fresh fruit..well melon and pineapple, yogurts. Continental style with meats and cheeses plus a pastry section. Don't expect a full English here.... there is bacon, fried egg and sausage but that is all. The food was a decent quality. There is a gripe I do have in that when the bread ran out we were tod it was finished and no more would be coming out.....this wasn't at the end of the breakfast sitting but with still 45 mins to go. NOT ACCEPTABLE. One thing that we observed was a family who loaded up breakfast food of all description including fresh fruit, as well as taking water bottles from the display and then blatantly took it back to their rooms. They took plates piled high and filled bags. It wasn't as if they were having breakfast in their rooms as they were eating breakfast in the dining room. They were clearly taking food to eat later in the day! The staff knew but did nothing. Maybe that is why they ran out of bread. We only dined in the evening twice. The menu is not extensive .....in fact there were only two choices of main meal. Other course were labelled starter, first course, second course, so maybe you are supposed to have one of each course because the size of the main dish is not huge. If you have a decent appetite you will need more than one course. The main problem with this hotel is the lack of staff. There was not enough waiting staff at all so tables were delayed in getting cleared and more importantly food

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in questo hotel. La stanza era pulita ma come già sottolineato in una recensione di maggio 2023, ”mancano alcune accortezze di un hotel 4 stelle che dovrebbero essere scontate” (i.e in bagno non c'è nessun bicchiere, porta spazzolino, salviette, fazzoletti etc...). In questo periodo, inoltre, stanno facendo dei lavori, quindi una volta fatto il check-in, dopo pranzo (ore 15 pomeriggio), c'erano i muratori che utilizzavano il trapano e facevano abbastanza rumore fino le 18 più o meno. La sera abbiamo cenato in un ristorante e al nostro ritorno in albergo c'era un cameriere seduto nella hall che ci ha chiesto dove avessimo mangiato, di dove eravamo. Abbiamo risposto alle sue domande per educazione e gentilezza anche se è stato un po' ”invasivo” nel chiedere a mia figlia ”Where are you from?” quando fino a poco tempo prima stavamo parlando in italiano. Una volta entrate in stanza, mia figlia riceve la richiesta su instagram da questo cameriere SENZA avergli mai detto nome e cognome. Il giorno dopo, facciamo colazione ( la quale non era abbondante e neanche troppo degna di un hotel 4 stelle). Dopodiché al check-out, chiediamo al receptionist (che tra l'altro era il responsabile) se fosse normale che un loro dipendente chiedesse l'amicizia su instagram, non sapendo i nostri dati personali, lasciandoci quindi supporre che avesse chiesto direttamente alla reception il nome e cognome di mia figlia. Il responsabile ci ha risposto che avevamo assolutamente ragione e che avrebbe preso dei provvedimenti siccome era inaccettabile e ci avrebbe tenute aggiornate via email sui provvedimenti e ”indagini”. In fine, dopo 2 settimane, non ci ha mai comunicato chi avesse trafugato i dati dalla reception al cameriere. quindi attenzione alle vostre carte di credito o altri dati sensibili che potrebbero essere trasmessi a terze persone indesiderate.

Myself and my son stayed at the Corte Cavalli in Sept 23. It's a beautiful old estate 8-10 min by car / cab (15 Euro) away from the centre of Peschiera. The hotel itself can be found at the bottom of a long driveway and is is made up of a number of buildings which also house the reception, restaurant and wellness centre. I have to say that this is one of the most charming hotels I've stayed at for a number of reasons. The rooms themselves are typical old style Italian but with everything you need including air con and beautiful bathrooms. They are cleaned daily to a high standard. Beds very comfy. All staff are warm and friendly and bend over backwards to be of assistance. The pool area is well equipped, clean and very peaceful being surrounded by fields. We stayed half board and the quality of the food was excellent. The only slight negative was the repetition throughout the week. It's a 3 course menu with a few choices for each course each evening. There was something new each day but still, in my opinion, a few more options throughout the week would be beneficial. Waiting staff are helpful and are multi-lingual so don't worry if your Italian is a little rusty! If you dont have a car, Peschiera itself has a port so the ferries which operate as water taxis, can take you to other destinations round the lake - timetables are available online or from the hotel / port booking office. There is also a train station. Verona is 20 mins away and Venice 1.5 hrs by train so perfect for day trips. The hotel has bike hire which is recommended if you don't have a car as constant cabs into town can prove costly. The wellness centre consists of two saunas, large whirlpool and two sensory showers. There is also a treatment room for massages ( charge applies) The weather was great with an average of 25 degrees. Im told its like this in May and September. July and August can be very hot and humid and the hotel and resort gets busy. The upshot is, if you want a friendly, peaceful place to stay in beautiful surroundings to recharge your batteries and read that book you have had bedside your bed for the last 12 months, then this really is the place for you.

Structure a little dated but clean. It is immense and not all environments are exploited. There is a bus stop a few meters away. You have to travel by car. In the surroundings there is only nature. The buffet includes first courses, second courses, vegetables, fruit and desserts with enough variety. I will evaluate breakfast at a later time. Pets are allowed. There are some smoking areas. The pool is huge and has an island on one side. Then there is the one for children. Lots of sunbeds and umbrellas around both. There is also a lawn area. The cleaning of the pool itself is thorough. I can't say the same about the space around it. But the blame lies largely with uncivilized people and I've seen many... In the pool area there is the bar which at midday offers a buffet in addition to the usual sandwiches, toasts, sandwiches and wraps. It has an oven for pizzas and they are baked throughout the day offering an alternative to the restaurant in the evening. I saw a basketball court, a ping pong court and a billiards court. My room was clean, comfortable for 2 people, with a balcony with a side view of the pool and lawn. Clean towels and toiletries in the bathroom.

We spent a few days at the B&B Hotel Affi Lago Di Garda this week and I have mixed feelings about the place. The staff were excellent. They worked very hard to understand and be understood and were extremely helpful. The Room The room was a good size with high ceilings and a large window. The bed and pillows were excellent. The bathroom included a bath, very good shower and bidet. Everything was clean and in great condition. There was a safe and a small fridge in the wardrobe, a desk, chair and stool. On the downside, there are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room, and we had to ask at reception for two (plastic) glasses so we had something do drink from. The aircon system in the room unfortunately wouldn't turn down and would only pump out heat. The temperature got as high as 30C so we had to sleep with the windows opened to be comfortable. The room also only came with a single toilet roll, which caused a rushed and embarrasing trip in the lift to get another from reception. Facilities This is a basic hotel offering the minimum of facilities, but at the price it's what you would expect. There is a seating area in reception and tables outside, which we saw a few other guests using. In reception there are fridges selling water, soda and alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices and some shelves of basics like biscuits and deoderant, which you pay for at reception. The staff are happy to order taxis and add breakfast to your booking if you haven't included it already. Breakfast Terrible. The breakfast room is large and the staff member working in there was very efficient, but the food is absolutely awful. The only hot food on offer at breakfast is chopped-up hotdog sausages and scrambled egg. As for the rest, there is off-brand breakfast cereal, bread, cheap local ham, cheese and some fruit. This is not a good selection at all and leaves you feeling inadequately set up for the day, especially from a hotel that has the word 'breakfast' right there in its name. In the dining room there is also a machine offering fruit juice and a very good coffee machine. Lastly: The hotel is NOT on Lake Garda. You cannot see the lake from the hotel. It is a 20 minute, €45 taxi ride from the lake. If you want to get to somewhere beautiful like Sirmione, then the cab will cost you a minimum of €80, each way. Taxis generally are EXTREMELY expensive, and for a hotel as far away from the airport as this one is, they can affect the whole holiday negatively.

A nice clean little hotel on the outskirts of Verona, not too far from the airport. I used it whilst on business. Everyone was friendly and polite. Rooms are a good size and come with all the basic necessities to enjoy a comfortable night, including good shower and plenty of bed space. I did not eat here at night but had the breakfast which is the one weak spot I found. The quality is not good compared to the rest of the hotel. I mean this in the nicest possible way as breakfast service was good but brioche, fruit juice etc not good. using the online pre-book breakfast service is also not particularly recommended. All said and done i was happy here and would certainly stay again.
