Hotel Praia Inhame Ecolodge

The property is located on a desert beach. extremely quiet and resting we could only hear the waves. The lodge is made up of wooden chalets spread across the beach and forest in a beautiful garden. The chalets are very large and comfortable. The open areas well manteined. The staff very polite and pleasant. Besides having a wonderful location the lodge has an excellent restaurant serving different dishes based above all on fresh fish. Great breakfast.

A bit rough road to reach it, but the location is amazing, a very peaceful setting right on a clean empty beach. Super friendly staff and fantastic dinner buffet for about 20 Euros. Stable Wi-Fi signal and clean sea water. On the downsides I would put the very basic/oldish bedroom and bathroom, and also the fact that no one replied to my questions before arrival.

Inside the room there are mosquitos, lizards, aunts, bad cleaning and limited lighting. Exterior there are also many problems. Bats make a lot of noise on the roofs, bad signing, bad lighting, some cottages are too far away from reception and restaurant and during the night we don’t feel comfortable crossing all the way.

As a way to get out of the capital and explore the south of Sao Tome this was a great place for our family to stay. Lovely beach, very friendly atmosphere and affordable wine! Highlights were the trip out to Islas Dos Rocos, straight from the hotel with one of the waiters as a guide. Fantastic. Walking up the hill behind the hotel - but especially the Mangrove canoe trip to see the monkeys. Individual wooden chalets and communal times for meals. Really friendly people. Hot tips 1) Arrive at meals on time - as there is a finite amount and it can run out if there is a large group (especially if they have many helpings) 2) Try and avoid a chalet next to where the cars park - dented the ambience a little. 3) Need to like eating octopus if having lunch there a lot. Dinner more varied.

What a spot ! Located in the middle of the forest This place provide an amanzing , pristine beach , just in front of Rohlas island Bungalow are cosy , comfy and so peaceful Nice and really professional team The food is super good , the best we have had furring 15 days in São Tomé We spend 5 stunning a days here ! Praia Inhame is a very beautiful place ! The bungalows have a lovely balcony and are clean and comfortable. We had the view on the sea… The beach is absolutely gorgeous and the restaurant where breakfast and dinner were taken overseas it. The quality and diversity of the food was impressive. Products were of quality and very well cooked. Special mention for the fish but also for the fresh fruits, passion fruit ice-cream and the excellent pancakes and coconut bread in the morning ! We really enjoyed our stay :)

Right next to a (most of the time) rough beach, but perfect for beach lovers since you are really close to the ocean an can hear the waves crashing on the beach day and night. Rooms are nice, bathrooms would be so much better with shower curtains.... Food is served as buffet and is varied, lots of fruit, fish, stews, something for everybody. Staff is friendly, they even replaced the missing hammock in between one day, which made our stay even more relaxing. Nothing beats lying in that hammock, reading a book and listening to the ocean! The only drawback was the boat trip to the Equator (Isle de Rolas). On the way back they dangerously overloaded the tiny boat with 9 adult people and we all felt totally unsafe.

I’ve been 14 days in S. Tomé e Príncipe and this was the worst accommodation I’ve been when it was the most expensive… They booked me a bungalow with dozens (to don’t say hundreds) of bats living above the ceiling… The noise of the bats wasn’t the worse.. The worse were the fezes falling from the roof to my bed, bathroom, etc. I slept in the room in the first night because I arrived too late to understand what was that. At 08:00 of first morning I complained immediately to the receptionist and nothing was done until 17:00, when I was told that they were fully booked and didn’t have where to accommodate us. They cleaned the room and told us that believed that nothing was going to fall from the ceiling… When we arrived after dinner the bed was already full of bat fezes… (we have pictures of everything..) We had to sleep the second night in the car because it was impossible to sleep in that bungalow.. They didn’t even try to get us another place to sleep… There are accommodations around but they simply don’t care about their clients.. (and I wouldn’t mind to pay of course) Last day morning I went to the reception to pay my expenses. The customer service continued to impress.. they wanted me to pay the full 2 nights with a discount of 50€.. They rented a bungalow that mustn’t ever have been rented and that was a public health hazard and I still had to pay the nights… Just a joke… I refused to pay and had to spend 45min of my time explaining them why I wasn’t going to pay… Beyond all of this asking 15€ for a super poor breakfast (considering the price) is stealing… The location is just amazing and it’s a must visit! However, just stay somewhere else and go there for the beach and leave

I took a scuba dive vacation to the islands of Sao Tome and Principe in Oct 2022. I was recommended Praia Inhame Eco Lodge as a base for my dives into the South Atlantic and I am glad I took the advice. The eco lodge is beautifully nestled between the sea and the mountains covered with dense tropical forests. It is cut off from the rest of the world which makes for the perfect getaway. The staff are friendly and always helpful- they made sure I picked up some Portuguese words. They have sufficient knowledge of other local tours and can help arrange transport too. One can take their pick with how they want to spend their day- snorkeling, exploring the islands and those nearby, sunbathing on the virgin beaches, savouring the local cuisine, hiking or take a boat trip into the mangroves. It makes for a dream holiday.
