The Bounty

My husband and I just spent 9 days at the Bounty and we were sad to leave because it had begun to feel like home. The staff is awesome. I experienced a potential medical emergency while I was there on a Saturday when the health center was closed. The property manager (sorry I forgot his name ) helped us out by tracking down the health center doctor on his day off and arranging for him to meet us at the clinic. He arranged a taxi too and luckily everything worked out smoothly and I lived through it! Aside from the great people who work there, the location couldn't be better, close to the Split and right on the main street where all the restaurants are. Rooms are basic as most accomodations are on this chill island, but provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had a great private balcony we were so happy to have during the rainstorms so we could still be outside. One note for early to bed types.. You may want to book the northernmost rooms since the rooms on the southernmost end (where we stayed) are right next to a karaoke bar that can get quite loud. It didn't really bother us too much and it was actually pretty comical listening to all the terrible singers. They shut off at midnight, so that's when we went to sleep, and after that time, it's super quiet and we slept very well there. Anyway, it's a wonderful little gem that we would not hesitate to recommend,and we would definitely stay there again!!

We rented this property for our family vacation. Reservation was made about 5 months in advance and owner, Olivier, cancelled on us 1 week before our arrival. Was an absolute pain to try and find something comparable and affordable that was available one week out. I contacted Olivier three times asking for an explanation and no response. I’ve since learned that some of these owners post their rentals on multiple platforms and cancel on renters if they get a higher bid.

Pretty good stay here for 9 nights! The location was ideal as it’s in the heart of the action, the ambiance of the place is very tranquil, and the hotel staff are very friendly and attentive. Beds are firm and older, so you might have a hard time if you’re not used to that…luckily we were able to adapt to it. I only docked a star because the most economic room, which we chose, has a seemingly unfinished shower with an open drain at the bottom that was backing up and emitting pretty bad smells into our bathroom. We did tell the owner about it and he apologized, but I do feel like that shower needs work in order to be functional. Other than that, everything else was good. There was AC in the room that I had not been expecting due to earlier reviews & I so appreciated that they added that detail to this room. Overall, I would recommend it…although if you’re going to stay longer than a few days, I’d recommend booking one of the bigger rooms for a more comfortable stay!
