Room Select Porto

Hotel is very convenintly located close to metro station and within walking distance to historic sites and ammenities. However, early check in icould be strictly not avaliable and guest registration somewhat complicated for staff seems not properly trained for the job. The hotel went thru a recent renovation leaving behind the lack of running hot water in the rooms. For this reason, we had be relocated to a different nearby hotel from the same brand with hot water and an added kitchen in the room. The remainder of our stay was decently confortable.

The hotel is located in front of a picturesque park. At the very edge of the city center, but still with a convenient car2city entry - the location is good. The higher your room is, the more advantageous the view. If the view is to the street - you will see the park, if the room is to the courtyard - you will see the old town. Ask for higher levels rooms! The hotel has its own garage and parking in the courtyard - the price is 15 Euros per day. Parking must be reserved in advance, because there are fewer places than rooms. You can park in front of the hotel - there are plenty of places, but you will have to run and buy tickets for cash (the Telpark mobile parking application is not valid in Porto). The hotel and rooms are decorated in a modern style, fresh furnishings - recently built/renovated. A very good and voluminous breakfast. Warm snacks, omelets, eggs, lots of fruits, pastries, juices, etc. - there are no complaints. The reception staff is friendly and helpful - they speak excellent English, but this seems to apply to everyone in Portugal. Cons: Contact the hotel in advance and take rooms above the 1st floor, because otherwise for courtyard-rroms - you will look and hear the air conditioning units on the roof of the breakfast hall, and for street-side rooms - you will hear cars and pedestrians. The rooms are quite small. The bathroom door opens inward, so it is impossible to enter with a rug on the floor; if someone is standing at the sink, they will have to move; if someone is sitting on the toilet - they will have to curl legs. The entrance doors to the rooms are poorly insulated. In the hallway, you can hear literally everything you say inside the room. There may be no warm water during the day. Since this has also happened in other hotels, I am inclined to believe that this is a local feature of energy saving.

We have just returned from a seven night stay and had a great experience. Our rooms were extremely clean and well appointed. We found the hotel quiet, the breakfast is buffet style with both hot and cold dishes and high quality ingredients, something for everyone. Enjoy the bar facilities at very reasonable prices, €3 a glass of wine can’t be bad!! All staff we encountered were polite, professional and helpful and would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, nice room with good space nº501, good views, quiet and clean. Good beds with really good pillows.It´s a little far of the center but a quite area and with parking in front of the hotel. Sundays free. Good treatment in the front desk, specially Ana. We don´t have breakfast we went to a nearest coffee shop really good in Rua Dos Martires da Libertade called Oporto Bakery.

I stayed here with my parents & my boyfriend for a special occasion. The receptionist was very nice but as soon as we went up to the rooms we noticed we had been given two twin rooms when I had booked two double rooms (Kind Bed). When I complained to the front desk staff I was told rooms came as first come first serve basis? Then why do you have a booking system? I work in a hotel too and this is unacceptable. They said they couldn't offer us a room move as the hotel was fully booked. I was extremely disappointing but there is nothing we could do about it. When we went back to the room to finally take a shower we noticed our bathroom hadn't been cleaned as there was toilet paper and dirt in the toilet. Someone had clearly used it before we checked in, so again I went downstairs to complain. And surprise surprise, now they had a room with a Kind bed where they could move us to. Working in the same industry I feel like this is unacceptable. Only me and my boyfriend moved rooms. I feel like an apology on check out would have been nice. Will not stay here again.

Me and my best friend stay on saturday 7 of December 2024 on the room 801 and is and amazying room the junior suite , has 2 terrace . When we come back for party , we order something on uber eats and they send it to the other room select in oporto that is called room select suite. Icaro that works on front desk was so gentle and kind that he went to pick up the food for us at 5 am to the other hotel . This was something really special for us and make the difference on this stay. We definitly will come back for him and for the room. I want to thank you Icaro for making our stay special ! Con mi mejor amigo nos quedamos en el hotel el 7 de Diciembre del 2024 en la habitacion 801 llamada junior suite que tiene dos hermosas terrazas. Recomendamos esta habitacion . Luego hemos ido de fiesta y enviamos nuestra comida a otro room select suites que queda cerca de este hotel. Entonces el recepcionista que se llama Icaro tuvo la amabilidad de ir a buscar nuestra comida al otro hotel a las 5 de la mañana y eso marco la diferencia de esta estadia. Definitivamente volvemos por el y por la habitacion. Fue muy amable y estamos muy agradecidos de Icaro que hizo nuestra experiencia excepcional ! Un gran saludo para el, agradecemos su amabilidad !
