If you can't check out completely this cabin has high-speed WIFI and all the amenities you need to work from a beautiful location.The spaceFeaturing three newly remodeled bedrooms, the cabin can sleep 6 (8 if there are children). The primary bedroom has a king bed, floor-to-ceiling windows and a desk. It also features a modern en-suite bathroom with a walk-in glass shower.The second bedroom on the opposite side of the cabin features a queen bed and large windows overlooking the firepit. The third bedroom is an open loft with two full beds that can sleep 4 kids or 2 adults. The second bathroom has been completely remodeled with a new tub and tile surround, a handmade rustic vanity, and full-length mirror.The newly renovated kitchen boasts hunter green cabinets, gold accents, and open shelving. Featuring a stainless-steel range, apron sink with garbage disposal, full-sized stainless-steel refrigerator with water and with an icemaker, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher, this kitchen makes cooking and cleanup easy. A large expanse of new quartz countertops makes it easy to prep and serve food. The stocked cabinets include pots, pans, baking sheets, bowls, and even olive oil and spices. To keep the chef company, guests can face the kitchen on bar stools at the custom-built wood table. A full-service coffee bar includes all you need to brew your cup or joe or fix a cup of tea.The living and dining rooms have wonderful open views with two-story vaulted ceilings and a full expanse of windows that overlook the woods. Take your relaxation to the next level sitting by the gas fireplace or turning on the large screen smart TV. Looking for some fun after dinner? The cabin is loaded with games and puzzles on both floors.Guest accessAcorn Acre is located in The Woods, near Berkeley Springs and less than 2 hours from the DC/Baltimore area, this cabin is the perfect getaway to enjoy golfing, hiking, antiquing, farmers' markets or even a spa! The Woods boasts two 18-hole golf courses, and the neighborhood is quiet and filled with trees.Other things to noteIf you like to spend time relaxing outdoors, Acorn Acre is just the place. Enjoy the deck spanning the front of the cabin for relaxed meals or your morning coffee. In the evening, head to the firepit for a cozy night outside under the string lights enjoying a glass of wine or a s'more.**The house is dog friendly, featuring a side yard that has a fenced in area for times that you just want to let the dog out but don’t want to take a long walk. You can also close the gate on the deck to let your pet roam freely.** Fee is $45 per pet. Escape to the Appalachians and enjoy some quiet relaxation at our chic A-Frame cabin in the woods. The cabin is less than 2 hours from DC and Baltimore, but sitting around the fireplace while you look out the floor to ceiling windows and see only the forest, you'll feel a million miles away.Outside the cabin, sit back in the private hot tub, listen to the babbling creek down below, grill up some dinner, and hang out around the fire pit roasting marshmallows.Bedroom: Queen BedLoft: 2 Twin Beds1 Full BathroomThe cabin is a great getaway spot for couples, small families, and small groups of friends, as it has all the comforts of home in a beautiful forest setting.Prep meals in the kitchen, which is outfitted with stainless steel appliances (please note: no dishwasher or garbage disposal), granite countertops, and basic cooking supplies like salt, pepper, and oil. You also have access to a grill on the deck, with propane provided. When you wake up, enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea on the deck with the Keurig and provided supplies (K-Cups, sugar, creamer packets). We also have a traditional drip coffee machine.Make use of the high-speed WiFi to stream your favorite movies and shows on the smart TV's in the living room and main bedroom (please bring your own login). If you'd rather disconnect for a while, you can hang out in the hot tub or around the firepit, or take a walk down to the beautiful creek and listen to the sounds of nature for a while (the walk back up can be a little challenging). For the firepit, we always try to keep a good supply of firewood for our guests to use. Inside, keep warm on the vegan leather sofa by the fireplace and have fun with the board games.If you venture out, there are 36 holes of golf, a spa, and a restaurant right within our community, The Woods. Beyond that, there are several charming towns with really good restaurants and nice shops nearby, including Berkeley Springs, which is one of the best small towns in the country. You can also hike the many trails in the area, tour local wineries and distilleries, and explore our history in Harpers Ferry. We provide our guests with a guidebook in the cabin, which contains our suggested restaurants and things to do. • Hedgesville Town - 15 min • Berkeley Springs - 20 min • Martinsburg - 30 min • Harpers Ferry - 55 min • Great Capacon State Park - 30 min • Sleepy Creek Wildlife Area - Hike in from neighborhood or drive 35 min Though we welcome up to two dogs per stay, please understand that there is often extra wear and tear and cleaning that comes with bringing them along. Therefore, we charge $75 per stay if you are bringing a pet. To include your them in your reservation, please select the number of pets you'll be bringing in the "add guests" section.The cabin is easily accessible via paved roads. There is a big driveway where you can park several cars and a carport to keep your car protected if you'd like. The community clears snow off of the paved roads, but not the driveway, so if it snows a lot or icy conditions are forecasted, we would suggest parking at the top of the driveway (which is close to the cabin) if you don't have a 4WD. There is a snow shovel available just in case you need it. This is not normally a problem... we just want you to be aware of the weather so you can prepare if needed.The cabin is baby friendly and has a high chair, pack 'n play, baby gate for the stairs, and outlet covers. Please be aware that the rails of the loft railing are spread apart wider than normal, which is great for the view out the back window, but not so much for unattended small children in the loft.We have 2 outdoor security cameras - 1 in the carport and and 1 at the screen door. They are always on and record on motion for security purposes.We have a strict NO SMOKING policy.Please Note: Staying at our cabin, you will be able to use the golf course and spa (additional fees apply).
