The Serai Bandipur

Enjoyed every moment with fresh air, beautiful property surrounded by Nilgiri Mountain range. Birds coming to the balcony of room and trees all around do not allow to remain inside. Excellent care by the team like Chef Ileum, Naturalist Chetan and everyone. Guards are always concerned about safety and convenience. Have also observed MD of property Venkatesh taking care of minutest things for better services.

Beautiful property, nice rooms, good staff, great experience. They arranged nice activities which included nature walk, bird watching, Bandipur safari, cycling and indoor recreation games. Amazing bar by the pool with the view of Nilgiris. Restaurant with good food. If you are planning to visit Ooty, scratch that and go to Serai Bandipur instead.

Wow. Liked everything. An excellent base for safaris in Mudumalai and Bandipur. All staff so polite and professional. Exceptional place. Our log hut was huge and what a lovely view from our sit out balcony. Food was excellent and still dreaming of my cucumber cooler cocktail! The pool was beautiful - great colour of tiles! Also loved our nature walk. I've fallen in love with the birds of India! Huge thanks to all the team

It's a wonderful resort to stay especially with your kids. Actually I brought my child who is 8 months old. He loves greenery. He enjoyed a lot as it's surrounded by a buffer zone of the bandipur forest reserve. Staff is so friendly they took care of my child while we having lunch and dinner. Food which is available at the sanctuary resturant is tasty but expensive. Accessibility is good but last stretch of 5kms from Bandipur is not good. Apart from that, serai bandipur is a real treat to the people who loves nature. I just thank them. I'm planning to visit again in next year.

It was a great experience at Serai Bandipur. The team was super hospitable and catered to every request. The naturalist Shreekanth was super sweet and the nature’s walk was our favorite. Location is beautiful and serene as well. Definitely recommend!

Great place for a chilled out, relaxing staycation. The r sort borders theJungle. The jungle is also entirely natural with varied flora and fauna including Flame of the Forest. The pool and bar overlook the Nilgiri jungles with a stunning view of the Jungle Sunset. The ambience is good. Nature walk educated one about the various birds and their birdsongs. Great change from bustling city life as there is ABSOLUTELY no sound or pollution. ONLY the rustling of leaves and different birdsongs. Do download the Merlin app if you're interested in birds. The rooms are v spacious and they have log hut types also. Although the resort itself isn't huge or comparable to the luxury ones in India. But worth coming for the rejuvenation and nature reconnect. Phones don't work. They have wo fik The staff is limited but very att ntive, personal service and polite. Most are from nearby villages and have good local knowledge. Good is good - south Indian and even north indian. Continental or italian not tried. Room service is v good. Chef Elam is attentive and polite, the dosa (take the plain dosa) is superb! Great service by Ramesh and Chintamani too We saw wild boar, India's smallest bird and spotted deer within the premises. WE WERE ALSO EXTREMELY LUCKY at the Early morning safari - spotted a small full family of elephants,lots of peacocks on high perches, painted stork AND a blithe, elegant young female TIGER ! - walked with absolute chill right in front of our canter at the 6.30 am safari and marked her territory by spraying trees. Almost 10-15minutes good view.
