Residence Inn Charlotte Airport

I recently stayed at this hotel near the airport, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location was convenient, especially for travelers like me. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing stay. However, I encountered an issue when I accidentally left my AirPods in my old room while switching rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel staff did not assist me in recovering them, which was disappointing. Despite this setback, the hotel was still a good choice due to its favorable location and comfortable accommodations.

My husband and I spent 2 nights here, one at the beginning of our trip and one at the end of the trip before flying home. The location is about a 10 minute drive from the airport, with a spacious, well lit parking lot. The grounds are well maintained with a courtyard, barbecue area, fire pit and seating. Front desk staff were efficient and friendly, and we were pleased with the 1 Bedroom Suites with king and sofa bed. The bedroom was part of the main room but off to the side of the living area, and there was a small kitchen with counter and seating. Both nights our stay was quiet. Wifi and tvs worked well. The beds were comfortable, although the 1st room's bed needed some new pillows. They were a bit flat. Neither room had luggage racks but there was enough furniture to find a place to set our suitcases. The bathrooms were spacious and clean with plenty of towels and large showers. Drapes did a good job of blocking out light. Our only disappointment was with the breakfast bar, which had a standard variety of hot and cold items, but wasn't what we'd experienced at other Residence Inns which usually offer better quality options than a standard hotel. Some even have an evening "reception" in the lobby for guests, which this hotel does not. For breakfast there were the usual waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, some fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and toast. No decaf teas and only one flavor yogurt. I looked at the pictures posted on this hotel's advertising where they show specialty breakfast foods, like small quiches and breakfast sandwiches, but that wasn't this hotel. There was nothing special about this basic breakfast bar. Overall, if we were in the area again we would probably stay here for the price and accommodations that are reasonable, especially so close to an airport. Plus parking is free, and the area felt safe. One downside, there are no restaurants within walking distance, so if you want to eat out, you'll have to drive.

We had reservations at another property and when we got there we’re told key machine was down and they had canceled our reservation without notifying us. Called Residence Inn and they were happy to help us out and just pay difference of the room. Room was absolutely beautiful, clean and comfortable. Given a suite actually. Thank you Don who was host that night we stayed.

My husband and I stayed here September 22-23 as we were in town to visit the Billy Graham Library 5 minutes away. So convenient! Just wanted to say that any place we’ve ever stayed in all of our travels, we’ve always had something that we didn’t like about the room or property in general. Not so with this hotel… everything was just PERFECT! Cleanliness, staff, breakfast, safety, comfort… just perfect! This will be our hotel from now on when coming to visit the Billy Graham Library. Overall an okay place. At 1st glance my door looked questionable and some dirty dishes were in the drawer. Yet everything else was good.

Clean, comfortable beds and the front staff was so helpful. I would definitely stay here everytime i'm in Charlotte.

Absolutely beautiful property for our two night stay. Pool is very nice. 12 minutes from Carowinds. I would absolutely stay again. Very clean. Only thing I suggest is having pillows and blankets for pull out couch, we asked for some and got them but I figured they’d already be in closet.

Conveniently located near the airport. We never hear the planes from our rooms which was a plus. Staff were very accommodating and nice. Our rooms were clean and spacious. We did have issues with the plumbing in both bathrooms of our two bedroom that were addressed in a timely fashion so thats a plus. Both toilets require jiggling the handle for water to stop running in the tank, sometimes did not fully flush the first time even if there were no toilet paper in the bowl. One bathroom the toilet overflowed twice. Again like mentioned previously staff were attentive and addressed issue. Other than that we had a pleasant sray.

Stayed here after a long flight. It is very convenient to the airport. There was a Starbucks, Panera, and Chipotle near by which is nice when you want something quick. The hotel and staff were very nice. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I will say the next morning when I walked out to my car around 7:15 am, there was a gentleman on the phone at his truck park next to me. Someone had broken in his truck and busted out his back window. Thankfully my car was not touched. I would be cautious of what you leave visible in your vehicle. The area around the hotel is nice so it was disappointing to see this happen.
