Let's just say, my recent stay at Marina Inn felt like I'd stumbled onto the set of "Oggy and the Cockroaches." The only thing missing was a giant blue cat chasing them around with a fly swatter. From the moment I flipped on the light switch in my room, it was like a roach convention had erupted. Little antennae twitched from under the bed, glossy bodies scuttled across the nightstand, and let's not even mention the acrobat I saw scaling the bathroom wall. I'm pretty sure I saw one wearing a tiny chef's hat attempting to raid the mini-fridge. I asked for a change of rooms since the AC wasn't working and was surprised to see the creepy crawlies in the next room too! Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the hustle and teamwork these roaches possessed. But when I'm paying for a hotel stay, I expect a room fit for humans, not a colony of creepy crawlies. If you're looking for an "authentic" jungle experience complete with unwelcome critters, then Marina Inn is your place. But for anyone seeking a relaxing and pest-free stay, steer clear! This place wouldn't pass a health inspection. I also stayed away from the food, can't imagine what the situation in the kitchen must be like.
