Great hotel right in the midst of everything! Walking distance to everything and nice ambiance! Love the decor.

Front desk staff very friendly. Guy at the door greeted us with a smile. Room itself old and dingy. Bathroom very old, sink didn’t drain properly, toilet didn’t flush. I didn’t shower because I didn’t want to take a chance. The street was noisy and woke up multiple times to fire trucks (not hotels fault). Overall just old and not kept up. Would not stay again.

Great hotel and friendly staff. Not the Ritz but nice, clean and convenient for a lot of Chicago offerings. Would stay here again for sure.

I needed to get away, but Chicago is my home & I like the Versey location. It usually is a pleasant, quiet and trouble free place to stay. This stay was no exception to that experience.

The staff is wonderful. The housekeeping is immaculate. When I told them at the front desk that I was there for my mother's funeral, they gave me a free upgrade—which basically meant a king bed.
The facilities are a little rickety in places. My bathtub/shower had very little hot water pressure, so it wasn't possible to shower, only to patiently trickle a bath. (I'm sure they'd have changed my room if I'd reported it right away, but I was too busy to bother. They thanked me for reporting it before I left.) The electrical outlets are loose, so you can't be sure the devices you've plugged in are really charging. I discovered on the morning of my departure that my phone hadn't charged, and I then arrived at the airport without much time to spare (and charge), and got on a regional jet that didn't have outlets, so that was a cascading inconvenience.
