The Grange Motel

Little motel with great location.

市内の観光スポットに近く、大変便利でしたし、スタッフの方は親切でした。 日本人としてはバスタブがあると尚嬉しいですが、お部屋も素敵で十分くつろげました。

We booked a motel room through an online booking agency which did not make clear the significant difference between the motel & the B&B accommodation which included breakfast. On arrival we found the motel room was small, dark & not comfortable for a 3 night stay. We approached the manager and as there was a vacant room in the B&B section we were able to pay the extra & move into a fantastic room at the front of the house with plenty of space and atmosphere. The included breakfast was terrific with both continental & cooked options. The managers were pleasant & helpful. A great place to stay only a 12 minute walk to the city centre, Botanic gardens, Earthquake City & many other attractions.

Easy walking distance in downtown, basically a block from the art museum. Friendly and flexible staff who were able to accommodate early check in and late check out. Great food options with a hot breakfast menu. A really great stay, would recommend to anyone in the area!

Wonderfull place to stay very clean and tidy breakfast was great The people are friendly and helpful one of the best that we have stayed at The beds and pillows are comfy and warm thank you for the last two days

Wanted something reasonably cheap as was arriving late and leaving early and this place was fantastic. Called them on the morning of arrival to let them know we'd be late and our key was waiting in the box when we arrived. Had a room in the main building and the decor was great and room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included the next day and this was also fantastic. Very friendly hosts too. Would stay again.

Upper unit in the motel which is behind the B&B. Roomy, clean, nice balcony, well-appointed. We were given an early check-in which we really appreciated. Next door is construction site but it did not intrude on the quiet. Parking on site.

I booked our 5 night stay direct with Kimberley the manager, she provided good communication before my arrival and left good instructions on how to enter the property after hours as we were arriving late. We stayed in the King Room with Jacuzzi bath , the room was spacious and warm with good air con and TV, however we thought that the Bedroom carpet could have done with a clean as a few stains here and there, the bathroom was a very good size and had a good shower and nice large jacuzzi bath which we enjoyed . we had breakfast included in our booking and a basic hot breakfast was offered, two different choices, bacon and eggs or eggs benedict, also offered a continental breakfast with juice , cereal and toast, although not a huge breakfast choice it was adequate and we enjoyed it. The property is well situated and only a 10 minute walk to the City Centre, it is also on the tram route and a stop is located just outside the B&B. To sum up, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Grange for a good stay in a very good location at a reasonable cost !!

The place was stunning — extremely spacious and clean, easily walkable to everything we were planning to do. The host lacked empathy. We hit an impasse on check in when she had two records for us checking in and I only had one. In the end it was my fault, but as she kept repeating “it’s not my fault” at check in instead of helping me figure out what went wrong was extremely frustrating. Each of our experiences with her were met with a similar lack of empathy, including when she saw me hunting for my gasses and walked away saying “I didn’t know where they are.” I don’t expect to become friends with my host, but these interactions made me feel uncomfortable staying there. I loved the location and the room, again it was my fault, but her lack of caring is what I’ll remember about what us an otherwise wonderful place.
