Churchill Hotel

The rooms were a good size. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean but dated. Location of hotel was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi wasn’t great away from office. Tv in room didn’t work. There was a microwave in common area for guest use

The Churchill Hotel was a great place to stay. John & Koral made booking, check-in, etc, easy. Koral met us at the train with a quick tour of the town before checking in. They take you back when leaving as well. Room was clean & comfortable. Fridge in room & microwave in lounge area. Breakfast is generous. Tours of the area & trip to viewing dome are offered at a reasonable price. Other staff went out of their way to be friendly & helpful. Central location -walking distance to most places in town. I highly recommend this place.

We stayed here 3 nites on our Churchill Polar Bear Trip. Rooms are average but beds were comfy. No views from our rooms. Ask about if your room has a thermostat that can be adjusted as alot in our group did not and we roasted every nite. The Dancing Bear Restaurant was really good for breakfast and dinner. They had a pretty good breakfast buffet and the selection was good. Dinner was also very good and staff is excellent.

We stayed here on a Nat Hab group to see the northern lights. No hotel is 5 star in town but this place was perfect for our needs. Well thought out rooms, restocked amenities daily. Food was as good as anywhere in town. The lady who runs the place worked her butt off to keep us happy.

Very quaint local hotel. This is basic accommodations but kept clean and good service. Room has a desk, refrigerator, coffee maker. There seemed to be an issue with the keys (opening other rooms doors) but hopefully this is already fixed. Meals were very good, especially considering that most things need to be shipped here. I was really surprised about how fresh their salads were. Great soups and pie!

Nice staff and very accommodating. Room is a nice size and clean. Bathroom is dated and could use an upgrade. Beds are worn and could be replaced. Not bat for a night or two. Central location in town but not so many streets anyway. Price is OK. Included breakfast.

Koral and John are incredibly helpful, friendly and wonderful hosts who go out of their way to ensure their guests are comfortable. Koral picked us up from the airport and showed us around town as an 'orientation' and provided so many helpful hints and checked in periodically to ask if we needed anything. The rooms are lovely and spacious, modern with a great airy feel to them and very comfortable. During the time we were there (COVID), they had even converted one of the rooms into a make shift kitchen in case guests wanted to use. Location is also super convenient - right on the main ***** close to everything. We would not hesitate to recommend !

Das Churchill Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es ist nicht sehr gross, alle Zimmer ebenerdig. Schöne grosse Zimmer mit viel Platz und schönem Bad. Man hat eine Kaffeemaschine mit allem Zubehör im Zimmer und einen Kühlschrank. Im Gemeinschaftsraum gibt es Wasserkocher, Tiefkühler, Mikrowelle zur kostenlosen Verwendung. Der Inhasbe John ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er holte uns vom Bahnhof ab und machte erst einmal eine Stadtrundfahrt mit uns. Er zeigt uns, was interessant und wichtig ist. Im Hotel wies er noch einmal auf den Schutz vor den Eisbären hin, worauf man achten muss. Was zu tun ist im Falle, dass man auf Eisbären trifft. Da noch keine Saison war, gab es im Hotel kein Frühstück. Er empfahl uns die Cafeterie Café Caribou im Health Center (Krankenhaus). Dort kann man nicht nur sehr gut frühstücken sondern auch Mittagessen. Zur Abreise brachte John uns wieder mit dem Auto zum Bahnhof. Es sind höchstens 5 Minuten Fußweg, aber Eis, Schnee und Matsch machen mit Rollkoffern einige Mühe. Wir würden immer wieder dort übernachten und können es deswegen auch gern empfehlen.
