The Great Western Resort

After reading so many good reviews and ratings I decided to stay there for 1 day during my visit but what I found is totally different from the ratings. Below is the review based on my experiance. Positive: 1) the location is good and property is also very good in terms of area, layouts, open space, parking. This is very good 2) the gatekeeper at the outer gate and inner reception gate are very humble and courteous. 3) outside cleanliness is good and from outside the property is well maintained 4) the owner has invested lots of money in idea to create a good resort in salasar and same is visible from various options and activities available Problems: 1) one time investment has been done to make this resort but now the management is not good. I don't think there is any experienced property manager to take care of day to day issues. This is big minus on the experience. 2) I have shown 2 rooms- 2500 and 3500 per night. Only difference I can see in the rooms is of additional settie in front of window and I think big TV. 2500 inr room has smell coming from toilet and no other room was available in that range so I took 3500 room. I didn't understand the difference between the 2. 3) in room first hot water was not coming and it took 2 hours and multiple calls to get it sorted out. 4) there is spider web in the bathroom and lots of things in room are not functional like tv remote is not working, switches are not working, night lamps not working, some are taken away and open wires in the room. See the pics attached 5) there is no fan speed regulator in room. I don't understand why. Either fan will.run on full speed or you have to switch it off. 6) most pathetic thing is the bed mattresses. I don't know why but the quality is like that if you are sitting at any side it will squeeze so much that you will fell off the bed.only option is to sleep in the middle of bed. 7) food is very average and cost is like the Delhi region. At that rate food should be good but it was blant. Didn't like the food. Staff shortage is there is kitchen and we have to wait for 10 minutes to get the reorder of bread and finally we cancel the order and come outside. 8) cost of food is too high as compared to location and quality. 9) while.doing the checkout I tried to convey these issues to the front desk person while doing payment but somehow he was not interested so I thought to put all these in reviews. One thing I don't understand that there are lots of positive reviews and I am thinking is it just me who faced this issues or something else.

Excellent property with all the amenities you need. Best place to stay with family & children can enjoy swimming and games zone. Staff is cooperative and have sense to care guests. Breakfast could be better I recommend this resort if you are looking for stay near by. All the best

Property wise fantastic maintenance wise !!!!!. Checked in and checked out on same day since the AC was not working. The staff took 3 full hours of me drenching in swet to admit the AC is faulty. Food is very good. If the AC issue was not there, i would have made this a regular point of stay in all my future visits.

Though it was a good stay at the resort but there are few maintenance issues which needs to be looked into which will make the stay great from good. Food quality was excellent, Manager of the Property Vikram Singh Rathore was very cooperative and helpful and tried to make the visit comfortable.

Best Resort to Saty in Salasar , hardly 2 km from the Balaji mandir , amminities are superp , perfect place for the family , good is really very Great ... Swimming Pool is clean and proper hygine maintained , multiple games in the club room . Overall 5 star rated great experience, staff is really very helpful

This resort is located 1 km from Balaji temple. To start with, it has nice rooms, courteous staff and, plenty of space for kids to roam around and facilities which kept my kids engaged. Rooms - spacious rooms. - there is a surprise sitting area next to window which is perfect for seeing sunrise and sunset. - Bathrooms had good amount of hot water which are great during winters. Food We went for Jodhpuri Gatta and it was tasty. Breakfast spread was not much but its ok. If you want to taste Kadi Kachori or Kachori then opt for it during darshan. Kids zone There are 2 zones for playing. One with video games was closed currently but badminton court, table tennis, chess, pool table, frictionless table are all available. So is the gym. Finally, plenty of area for walk. Parking for darshan isn't an issue as there are plenty of parking zones which keep the vehicle at 50Rs. Parking charge. So it isn't an issue at all. Worth every penny if you are going with family and want to fulfil the darshan part as well.
