What a wonderful oasis awaits you as you find yourself staying actually amongst the rainforest on the north side of the Daintree River. The ambience and tranquility of the accommodation to the wonderful hosts Leigh, Jason and staff making you feel quite at home. With only seven cabins well placed on the property you do feel like you are in another world. Take a walk on the circular path. There it really makes you realise listening to the sound of the many leaves falling softly to the ground like rain. My family and I stayed for three nights in June. The room was not fancy, but we didn’t expect one. The beds were comfortable for sleeping and the sleeping temperature was great with the windows open - screens kept the bugs and critters out. The shower pressure was excellent and plenty of hot water. Moreover, it was clean. The staff members that were from abroad were friendly. However, there are several negatives: 1. We selected several DVDs from the library to watch in the room and most were scratched to the point of not working. We don’t mind not having broadcast TV but that was a bit of an annoyance as there isn’t much to do after sun downs. 2. We expected breakfast to be simple per the reviews - but it was beyond simple. Only one type of bread available and four cereals with plain yogurt and cut fruit. The fruit was just okay. The coffee was absolutely undrinkable the two mornings we had breakfast, and the water for tea was not even hot. Moreover, when we popped in at 9:05 the first morning, one of the staff members said “We were just about to put the breakfast away” -although the breakfast is advertised as ending at 9:30! 3. However the biggest annoyance for us came from the several groups that were staying on site, who were treated much better than we were: a. When we arrived, we found out we could only eat in the restaurant at 7 pm, for a party of three. That was because of the many tour groups who were eating that night earlier. We showed up early in the hopes of getting a table - and while there were plenty available, we were told that we could be seated and have a drink, but we couldn’t order until seven. When we finally ordered, I found out they were out of barramundi because the tour groups had eaten it all. Very disappointing. B. On the last night, we had a few drinks before dinner. Even though they advertise a happy hour, we were relegated to a table by the pool (full of bugs) or a small part of the bar counter due to groups coming in (who we saw getting a welcome drink, something we were not offered). C. Finally on the last morning when I went to check out , groups were already eating BEFORE the advertised 730 start time - and they were enjoying upgraded breakfast options such as sausages and other hot dishes. We would have gladly paid a little extra to have those options! In short , this is a hotel that clearlly prioritizes its tour groups.
Very Good

We were welcomed by the very nice and helpful host. They gave us wonderful tips and helped us book a Crock tour at the last minute. The B&B is located in a perfect location, on a heel in the middle of the forest, so the whole experience and view are amazing and authenctic. The room was very clean, and there is a shared living room, which includes a fridge and coffee and drinks, a big space to make yourself a snack or just to hang out. The whole property includes only three rooms, which make it very intimiate and quiet. The breakfast was very tasty and was according to a prior dietary request. As B&B in the middle of the forest, this is definitely a 10/10 accommodation.
Some of the friendliest staff I have ever met! The area was beautiful, and the rooms were pretty clean. Basic amenities that get the job done. On a beautiful beach, you are not advised to swim in the water. They even have a peacock that walks around in the morning! Wifi was not included, and breakfast was not free for people staying in dorms. However, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I recommend the Chicken Rosso!
Nestled in the heart of the Daintree, Cape Trib beachhouse is a peaceful and relaxing place to escape. Be prepared that there is no telephone reception or internet so you will need to digital detox. The whole place is very nicely landscaped. The beach is absolutely spectacular and will leave you speechless, pity about potential for crocodiles as the water is crystal clear. There is a laundry and ablutions block. Each room is fairly basic but has everything you need in the wilderness - good aircon, fan, fridge. The shower pressure is very low but nothing really to complain about. The pool area and restaurant have a tropical far north Queensland feel to them. Definately worth a visit if in Cape Trib.
