W e stayed here for 2 nights while we visited the falls. It’s sold as a 4 star hotel but personally, compared to the other 4 star hotels on our trip , it didn’t match up. Our room was very dated and needed a complete renovation. We had to be checked in again on the second day , as the person who did it when we arrived had lost our info ? The bar was very limited and there was nowhere relaxing to sit and have a drink. Outside was just concrete with white plastic chairs. At breakfast the tablecloth was dirty and the coffee machine needed a good clean. It was a very basic food selection compared to all the other hotels breakfast we had had. It’s a bit of a walk to find somewhere to eat in the very high temperatures there. The towels were small and grey and the toiletries consisted of one soap and shampoo. We were glad we were only there for 2 nights. I’m sure there are better places in Foz to stay.

Hotel com bom atendimento dos funcionários e péssimo atendimento da gerência, meu filho esqueceu uma bermuda e uma sunga que só demos conta ao chegar em casa em SP, falei com eles pelo WhatsApp pq o telefone do hotel nunca atendem, e eles confirmaram que as roupas ficaram lá! Estamos em junho, estou até hoje esperando eles me enviarem por SEDEX a cobrar, eu cobro semanalmente e quando eles respondem, mentem! Cada dia uma desculpa diferente, mentiram até que enviaram é que voltou pelo Correios, o que não aconteceu! Pedi um favor a um amigo para ir até lá buscar as peças pois ele estava em viagem à trabalho em Foz, ele foi duas vezes lá buscar e não acharam as peças! Tratam o cliente e a situação com indiferença como se estivessem na razão! Não volto mais principalmente pela condição que o hotel se encontrava quando fui! Fios de iluminação encapados porém soltos dentro da piscina cheia de crianças! Piscinas desativadas, quartos com as paredes encardidas, banheiros escuros com vazamento de água pelo box, pelo vaso sanitário, colchão encardido, lençóis manchados, ar condicionado sem funcionar, pouquíssimas tomadas, porta da sacada de frente para a piscina que não fecha, café da manhã com pães duros, igual a pão amanhecido, biscoitos e torradas murchas, frutas com péssima aparência, pouquíssimas opções pra comer pela manhã! Não volto mais! Me arrependi de ter aceitado a indicação de ir feita por uma amiga que frequentava lá quando era o Hotel Suíça!

Good location and service ... Before it was served a drink at the end of the afternoon, after the pandemic has no more, I believe that it should give the customer the option to pay a symbolic value to return to these drinks at the end of the afternoon.

Our experience at the Belmond can only be described as magical. The hotel itself is beautiful, every member of staff were lovely, the cocktails at Bar Tarobá were incredible, and the pool was great - our whole stay could not have gone smoother. But, what makes this hotel so special is the access to the falls. Being inside the national park before and after it is open to the public is an unmissable experience - you only have to step foot outside of the lobby to be greeted with a beautiful view. We decided to walk the trail at sunset after it had closed to the public, and we were the only people there. During the day, as you can imagine, it can be packed, so being able to experience it privately was so unique - plus, it gave us the most amazing photo opportunities! As we were walking the trail we thought to ourselves ‘this in itself is an experience we’re sure some people would pay more than the price of the hotel for!’. It was an unforgettable evening to cherish forever. The hotel concierge was excellent, arranging wonderful experiences for us - including a boat trip (which they supply towels and ponchos for). After staying here on the Brazilian side, we stayed on the Argentinian side for two nights, but, if I were to go back and repeat this trip, I would definitely only stay at the Belmond and just do a day trip to the Argentinian side with the help of the concierge. The breakfast and lunch buffets at Ipê Restaurant were delicious, but our meal at Itaipu was stand out - by far the best meal we had in Brazil. Being so full after starter and main course but could not resist a dessert - you have to have dinner here! Having visited a number of other wonderful Belmond properties, it is without a doubt that this one is a favourite and would absolutely love to return. There is no question about it, you simply must stay here when visiting the falls - you will regret it if you don’t! And finally, this Belmond is absolutely incredible. Five stars is simply not enough. It is a seven star hotel.

The hotel has a house structure, which is far from the reception, restaurant and main pool, and offers cars to take and bring guests, but this service is inefficient. We often wait more than 15 minutes, on footwear away from the room, in the hot sun, with a 2-year-old child, and we were forgotten twice. The hotel restaurant is good, but does not include the maximum lotion of hosting, so, depending on the lotion, it is impossible to sit at the peak time, which is incompatible with a 4-star hotel, seems a bandijan.

Really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location with access to the city and having the mall in front of the hotel also super useful. The pool is a good size and decor tasteful. The fitness room could be better equipped, but still workable. Staff attentive and breakfast ample and varied. I recommend it.

My wife and I ran into some issues at the border when we tried to cross. Somehow the Argentine visa is much harder to get than we initially thought. So we were stuck on the Brazil side - after seeing the awesome Iguazu falls. We looked up some quick hotels in the area so we can camp out until the visa came through (which never did btw) and found this gem of a place. Literally a 10 minute walk from a pretty sizable indoor mall. Front desk staff were very accommodating- and helped us navigate our stressful scenario fantastically. Claudia and Jacir went well above the normal expectations And in our view are the gold standard of hotel staff. The whole place was elegant. The food delicious. The wait staff very attentive to our needs. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Iguazu area. They really made our last few days in Brazil enjoyable -even though it was an unexpected stop - we don’t regret a minute of it.
