This review is for the restaurant only. After sitting down for lunch I ordered my drink. After handing over the menu the waiter came and went for the other for 10 minutes  4 or less guests without further noticing me or telling me about the delay. As I stood up to leave (I cannot stand restaurants ignoring me) he brought the drink. After I told him I was just about to leave (I would have stayed) he ridiculed me ”ah you waited for 2 hours... Then we have to hurry” and went on pouring the drink in great anger. After this commotion I lost my appetite and left for good. This isn't some cheap dive but an elegant,(and expensive place). The staff should be reminded who pays their salaries and not alienate their guests with such rude behavior).

During a recent business trip near Zurich, we chose to stay at the Tailormade Hotel SIHLPARK in Schindellegi. The location of the hotel is ideal—easy to access and conveniently situated for business travelers. Upon arrival, we were impressed with the cleanliness and size of the rooms. Each room was spacious, providing a comfortable area to relax and work, which is essential for a business trip. The ambiance of the room was warm and inviting, making it a cozy retreat after a long day of meetings. Modern amenities such as a television and Wi-Fi were available in the room. The Wi-Fi was reliable and fast, enabling us to stay connected and continue working from the hotel without any hassle. Overall, the Tailormade Hotel SIHLPARK ticks all the boxes for a business traveler looking for convenience, comfort, and value near Zurich. The combination of accessible location, excellent amenities, and thoughtful inclusions like free parking and breakfast make it an appealing choice for anyone visiting the area on business.

we stayed one night before going to Alpamare with our 2 kids (5 and 7), we had a room on 3rd floor with a nice view on the lake. It was very quiet, the bed was huge. the staff was very friendly, the parking next to the hotel is included, which is very convenient. the hotel is one minute away from Alpamare, the is also a shopping center close by. We had dinner at the restaurent OLEA and the food was good but the service was extremely poor and slow. We had to ask 3 times to get a beer and we never got the wine list after asking several times. the breakfast was good,including fresh orange juice but the scrambed eggs were cold in the buffet and some croissants seemed to be from the day before. I can recommand the hotel but not the restaurent.

Das Hotel Allegro liegt äusserst ruhig etwas ausserhalb des Dorfs, in bequemer Fussdistanz zum Klosterplatz. Die Einzelzimmer sind hier grösser und freundlicher als üblich: schlicht, praktisch und mit sehr durchdachter Nasszelle. Das ”Welttheater-Package” ist ein tolles Angebot mit Verwöhn-Faktor: Willkommens-Drink nach Wahl, auf dem Zimmer reichhaltiger Früchteteller und Proviant fürs abendliche Theater, zum Abendessen im Garten köstliche Grilladen mit knackigen Beilagen. Und super freundliches, kompetentes Personal. Absolute Empfehlung, herzlichen Dank!

We were for the second time at Hotel Sorell Speer. This time not alone as a couple, but with my mother. I booked the two rooms long in advance, directly over the hotel (chain). My wish: two rooms next to each other or vis à vis. At the arrival we were treated as if we had never been in this or another sorell. A “Welcome back” would have been happy. The rooms were then on the same floor, but not next to each other. That disappointed us. Especially since it was our only wish. The rooms OK. Beautiful clean. Parquet floor. No coffee machine on the room, shower in the bathtub, furniture remember the 80s. All right, but not for the price. Breakfast: classic. Nothing exceptional. There are still only two juices and not a selection of five+ as in the other Sorell. Why the tea is served in the small Espresso Tassli is not reached us. Nice staff. When checking out everything very well 0815. No “to soon” “good trip”,....at all the time, a water was made for on the way. Globally speaking: we didn't feel very welcome, our wish was not taken into account and not corrected as I said at check in, breakfast ok. Price performance was not right at the weekend for us personally.

This is a self check in hotel. Codes came via email and I had no trouble getting into hotel or my room. The room was clean and the water was hot. Bedding and towels were fine. My tip would be not to have a lake view room because the trains are very noisy on that side of the hotel. I think you can order breakfast from the nearby bakery but as I have family living locally I did not do this. As we are taking Swiss prices this is very good value.
