Avoid the peak of Qingming Festival, and go to Chengde with a good friend last Sunday. After comparing several hotels, I finally prefer Xilaijia: 1. Convenient parking, free ground parking; 2. Close to the scenic spot, Gaode map shows less than 2 kilometers, 3 minutes by car. Now the weather in Chengde is very good, spring is warm and flowers are blooming. We walked there and took the cable car up the mountain, and had a lot of fun; 3. We ate three meals a day in the hotel. We were very lucky to catch up with the new dishes. The appetizer pot meat buns were super delicious, and we experienced a trip on the tip of the tongue; 4. There is a large supermarket less than 500 meters north, with a full range of things. We bought some fruits there, and the price was affordable. 5. The service staff are of high quality. Whether in the corridor or the lobby, they will greet each other when they meet, which feels very comfortable. 6. The hotel is well managed and the hygiene is very good. The facilities can be seen to be a few years old, but they are still clean and tidy, and elegant.

This time I went to Chengde and booked the Puning Hotel, which is very close to the Little Potala Palace, museums, and Puning Temple. There are also many places to eat in the surrounding area and all kinds of conveniences. The courtyard of the hotel is bright and spacious, and the parent-child room with a small courtyard is very satisfactory. The service is excellent. In addition to snacks, facial masks and plasters are thoughtfully prepared as gifts, and the details are full of details. I really like the unique wallpaper in the interior, and the toiletries are also great. It’s a very satisfying accommodation experience. If I have the opportunity to stay at his house again, I hope that I will not forget my original intention, as always. . .

Being a part of Chengde Imperial Mountain Resort, the hotel is one of Emperor Qianlong's 36 scenic spots of Chengde (#6). The hotel itself has a lot of historical value, not only the building but the garden areas. The tree in the middle of the compound is 300 years old and has been here since the beginning. Pro: location is one of the best if you're looking to visit Chengde Imperial Mountain Resort (500m away from the front gate), the rooms & beds are clean and comfortable. Con: one downside is that the breakfast buffet area, the facilities are dated and the breakfast options are geared towards more Chinese style breakfast, no Western continental breakfast here so come prepared.

This time I took the elderly to the Mountain Resort and chose this homestay. I was very satisfied. The homestay is very new, the room is clean and tidy, the facilities are complete, and the fruit is also delivered. It is inconvenient to have no air conditioning on the first floor. Two rooms and two bathrooms in the second floor building are very convenient. The homestay is in the Lotus Mountain Scenic Area. The outside is very beautiful. There is no supporting dining around. There is a restaurant in the back. The dishes are not bad. The elderly like this environment. If you need breakfast for 25 yuan per person, you can order it with the boss in advance, and sometimes it can be delivered to the room. There are side dishes staple porridge eggs and so on.

My experience was overall good, but the bathroom of the room I booked for the first night (single, queen bed) was so stinky at night that I could not bear it. I called the concierge, and the maid came to clean the bathroom (they were very fast= good service) but the problem is in the pipes, not in the cleanliness, (it was very clean) so spraying a bit of air freshener won't solve the problem. I changed rooms the following night. Also, it was quite noisy at night and in the early morning, they should keep an eye on noisy guests. Last thing, but not less important, people were smoking inside the hotel corridors and it was stinky. The management should try to enforce the rules of non-smoking. I understand that know nobody in the hotel wants to call on the smoking clients, but not enforcing the law results in other clients being unhappy too. All in all, I would probably stay there again.

The hotel upgraded me to a superior king-size bed room for free, which was very satisfying. They also gave me two bottles of drinks for free, one bottle of Coke and one bottle of Sprite. It was raining in Chengde that day, and they lent me an umbrella, which was very nice. The service of Xuanxuan and Mingming at the front desk was also very good. I was very satisfied.

1. The room is spacious, and I especially like the large floor-to-ceiling windows. The green mountain scenery outside the window is pleasing to the eye. The night view is also very beautiful. 2. The service was very considerate. The front desk took the initiative to call us before we checked in and arranged an adjacent room for us and our parents near the elevator, which was very considerate. 3. Although breakfast is a buffet, the waiters are very diligent and take the initiative to help guests get food and tableware. They are not idle for a moment. Special thanks to the waiter Sun Lijing for taking very good care of my parents.

The hotel service and hygiene are very good, the breakfast food is very rich, the restaurant is large and has enough seats. Unlike other hotels, after breakfast, guests have to take the tableware to the cart next to the stage instead of leaving it on the table. The decoration of the hotel is very delicate and the equipment is good. The only flaw is that the support of the handheld shower in the shower room is too low, which is a bit inconvenient to use.

The hotel is very close to the Mountain Resort, and the view from the hotel room window is also very good. The facilities in the room are a bit old, but I was very satisfied with the family room I booked during the peak tourist season. When I left, I left a backpack in the room.
