Very similar to a large hostel with good bungalows (with a kitchenette, kettle, microwave) many children, many small pools on the territory There is a shop on site (prices are above average), a cafe where you can buy breakfast / dinner The disadvantage is that there is no access to the sea-ocean, as such. (there is a certain bay on the territory, more like a paddling pool) To swim you need to go along the promenade along the sea to the beach

Just back from an amazingly relaxing week staying at the Oasis Lanz. From the moment my daughter and I arrived to the moment we left, we were able to totally relax in the beautiful, clean and classy surroundings. Everything felt so easy, like the hotel had thought of all our needs and provided them without us having to ask. The room was huge, clean, comfy bed, lovely big balcony with handy clothing rack for drying wet clothes, fridge, safe, TV etc. Everything worked and was in great condition. Room was made up daily, fresh towels etc and felt like new coming back after the cleaners had been in. Breakfast was superb, plenty of tables, no waiting to be seated. Very chilled vibe, lots of choices and everything I sampled was delicious from cooked breakfast to freshly made pancakes. We spent a lot of time at the pool nearest our room and loved it. Clean, perfect temperature, loads of loungers and the poolside bar for refreshments! On the odd occasion we needed something (taxi booked to airport/somewhere to leave bags after check out/ grab a shower before leaving) the staff at reception couldn't have been more helpful. Location wise it's perfect, so close to both beaches, restaurants and shops. Thanks for a great stay and hope to get back.

Nice looking hotel with a friendly welcome when we checked in. The Room We had booked a sea view, hot tub room. After reading peoples reviews I sent an email before we traveled asking about sun on the balcony. I was told sun is on the balcony for half the day and we accepted this. This was not true and the balcony did not get any sun. The hot tub is more like a bath and you are overlooked by street passers by. Certainly not worth the money and only used once. The bath took around 45 mins to fill up which is hardly positive for the environment. Tip - room only sea view with open roof balcony. All inclusive? At check in offered all inclusive for €59 each per day. We declined and the best decision we ever made. The hotel is perfectly located and you have a huge range of bars, restaurants and shops on our doorstep. The average large beer cost is between €2\3 and a good quality steak €17 Tip - 100% not Restaurant Nightmare. Total lack of staff full stop. Breakfast. Wacky races. 1. Fight your way into the seating area. 2. Find a table that is not piled high of dirty dishes. 3. Find staff to locate cutlery and a cup for coffee and glass for juice. 4. Only 2 coffee points so wait in a long line then read instructions to work the machine after a time give up and use the filtered coffee next to the machine. 5. Enter the food area and join another long line of grumpy people waiting for the single member of staff servicing eggs, omelettes and pancakes. Very narrow area that also houses bread. 6. Return to table stressed then listen to death row music over and over again. Dinner. Much the same with rather bland similar food each day. Still searching for a table, then hunt down service for cutlery, and drinks. We complained most days as it was simply terrible and very stressful. We got an hour in the spa area which does not cut it. We stopped going as we started and ended the day stressed. Pool areas Very nice. No issues. You can however see the same people reserving a bed at 7am! Seriously they had no shortage. No one to stop them and insufficient staff in any case. Location 10/10. So very central So in short. Nice hotel but major issues that need to be resolved. We go away to relax and this whole situation was wholly unacceptable

We stayed here for 7 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The only let down really being some loud guests who I think may have been a hen party. As the bar area was close to our room we did have to call down to the main reception at early hours of the morning to ask them to move the people along as the bar closes at 12 , however people would stay and be loud for hours after. The drinks were great and the bar staff very friendly. The food was very varied and I feel there was a good range of options for people who like to try new things. My partner is rather fussy however and some nights there wasn’t a lot for him to eat as there was: veal,octopus,rabbit,paella and stew all on the same night and no normal meat option eg chicken. However the majority of nights there was a lot for him to choose from such as salad,pizza,chicken,onion rings, fries,steak,pork,rice etc. The cleaners are lovely and do a really good job, towels are collected and replaced twice during the stay as-well as the room freshened up and bins emptied etc. There isn’t any aircon in the rooms which was okay for the time of year that we went, however I believe in the later months it would get too hot to sleep. The pool did often have some muck and debris that you had swim round and watching the pool man clean the pool he didn’t do a very thorough job. They have signs saying you can’t reserve sunbeds and cordon the area off, however during our stay we found that people were completely ignoring this and reserving them at early hours(I think this was the hen party as they reserved around 15 sun beds). Overall we enjoyed our stay and the only issues really were the pool cleanliness and rowdy guests.

We love Santa Rosa and have been coming for 8 years. New refurb rooms look great and the air con will definitely help however the price is increasing next year which may put families off as an all inclusive is probably cheaper. Reception staff are all lovely. Very helpful. Thank you to Silvia and Jessica for helping with reservations. The entertainment staff, yaroll and Saul are amazing. Such enthusiastic and happy people who are great with all the children. bingo is great along with kids disco. The entertainment team are a credit to this complex. The only negative for us this year was lack of staff at the bar meaning you couldn’t order food at times. There were also often big ques for a drink. Gabi was friendly and cheerful along with the lady who does the bar cooking but other members of bar staff are clearly busy and as such, look like they are unhappy to serve and appear irritated. We will return but maybe also look at alternative due to price increase

Just returned from a week long stay All inclusive. We came last year and this year brought more people, we were a group of 11 including 2 young children. I would say we had the same experience pretty much to the year before, I don't think the hotel has changed too much. Check-in was a bit all over the place, it seemed as they had selected who was staying in each room out of our group which made the process a little bit longer but it wasn't anything drastic. The rooms were great as always, no issues at all. The restaurant was clean, and great staff who would always interact with the young children. After the first day, they would always have a table ready to fit all 11 of us on and have a high chair near by. The pools were nice and warm and clean (we only used the kids pool and the warm one). We didn't ever find any issues with getting sunbeds, for 11 of us we'd usually get about 8 and manage to get them all together. We didn't tend to watch the entertainment so can't comment on that unfortunately. For some improvements: - As a fussy eater, I didn't find much food that I could eat, I do think the food wasn't as good as last year. The food was occasionally cold. Everyone else however tended to get a good plate each night, with their being less variety on certain occasions - Food wasn't always correctly labelled. I'm vegetarian and had a few occasions where food was labelled wrong and I almost ate meat. - One member of our group got ill off what we think could have been the chicken. - The lifeguard seemed to never be around. And when they were, it took other people coming over to tell him things that were happening before he acted on it. On one occasions a group of people were throwing stones into the pool and it took a guest to go and tell him before he went to stop it. - Females can wear open toed shoes at night but males can't. Saw many men get turned away at night for their footwear. It seems quite sexist. - The turtles! Please bring them back, our 4 year had been so excited about seeing turtles in the hotel and then was left disappointed. We did find out this was due to costs but it was one of our favourite aspects the year before.

Overall, staff are lovely, hotel super clean, rooms well done with nice bathtubs. Location is fine. Short walk to lots of nice restaurants/bars. Pool is great for kids. Not salt water, well laid out, not cold. But, food on some days was inedible. Like, seriously bad. Hardly any choice, and what is there, is either raw, tinned, or just very poor quality produce. It’s very budget. Defo not 4 star at all. I’m not sure you could even argue it was 3. For an all inclusive, most people eat out everyday for lunch/dinner and just use the hotel for drinks and breakfast. Drinks are alright. The ice tasted like the machine doesn’t get cleaned much though. So we avoided that. You have to put down a €1 deposit for a plastic reusable cup round the pool. Which cheapens the feel of the hotel. The hotel say it’s to avoid them being binned and to save plastic, but they should give out a token on arrival in that case. It feels a bit like a way to squeeze a bit more money out of people (as a lot get lost) and save on glass collectors. The poolside sunbed drama is a bit ridiculous too. There are lots of sunbeds on the sun deck available 24hrs a day. But around the pool the sunbeds are padlocked up until 10am, so people are stood waiting from 9-9.30. Which you have to do if you want a sunbed next to the pool to watch your kids, you have to do. As there is just the main pool area, I don’t know how you’d change this, unless you just took towels off peoples beds if they were gone longer than 1 hour. Lifeguards were great though, nice, friendly, very observant. There is only one bar serving alcoholic drinks at night too, which is a bit of a walk from the entertainment auditorium. They close the pool bar next to it. Which is possibly done to avoid people drinking much at night. Entertainment was good. Stuff going on in the day and then various things at night. Overall, we had a lovely holiday. The hotel has the potential to be really good. If they spent more on food quality / prep.
