I have would have given our 1 night stay here a 4* review because the staff were lovely and our evening meal and breakfast were delicious. BUT the bedroom and restaurant were freezing (the lovely waitress said she thought ”they'd turned off the heating”) such that my wife had her dinner with a hot water bottle in her lap, the envy of other diners who had to keep their coats on whilst they ate! The thermostat in the bedroom could not be set at above 17.5 degrees. In addition, we had booked the room Mowbray because it had a lovely stand alone bath in it - BUT THE WATER WASNT EVEN TEPID! so no pleasure to be had there. The impression we got was of a place where the staff were trying to do their best and were charming throughout, but the business might be struggling to pay the increased energy costs that we all face nowadays. I would rather have paid more and had proper hot water and a warm restaurant!

Breakfast should have been served until 10 am. We got into the restaurant 9.15 and there was hardly anything left, One spoonful of scrambled egg which I had to gather from around the pan for my husband - none for me, no bacon, no sausage, no hash brown or tomato. They did have beans!! Having asked and waited, we got a bit of bacon and some sausages that were so hard we could hardly cut them!! Then , at 10am they asked us to leave the room because they had to get it ready for something else. Our bedroom was ok but there was a skylight in the roof and the sun came flooding in just after 4 am so I didn’t sleep. Waste of time having black out curtains at the window when you don’t cover the skylight. The teaspoons on the dressing table had not been washed. The shower was nice but the water came out all over the floor - our friends had the same in their room. All in all not a good experience and I wouldn’t stay there again. I did mention all of this to the reception guy but he just smiled at me. Not sure if he spoke English!

Great hotel, great service, superb location on the river, fabulous rooms which encompass the original features of the building and one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had while travelling! Delicious!

I loved this place so much, so we ended up using it as our base ❤️ while in Korea The staff were lovely, they helped book out early morning taxi and gave help with other small problem we had only downside no table in the room but never mind

We wanted a mini break for my family. The hotel is absolutely stunning,great facilities,restaurants.bar,spa .Grounds Ellie greeted us on arrival & showed us round .Such a lovely greeting made us feel very welcome.All the staff are very friendly & they make sure everything is perfect throughout your stay .Our food in moorish restaurant was again excellent.Staff gave us great service,making sure we had all we needed.The buffet is a great addition.All the food was absolutely delicious & very tasty. The spa experience was out of this world.Mia & jas showed us round & pointed us in the right directions for interior pool ,jacuzzi,sauna,steam room,outside pool . We also each had a full body massage.I have to say that was the best massage I’ve ever had .Great communication on needs ,right pressure.A definite must to de stress your body.Afterwards we relaxed in the Himalayan salt room .If your looking for a excellent hotel to stay in .You definitely won’t be disappointed. We visited twice in September 2022, using the hotel prior to and post travelling from Heathrow. The complex is set in beautiful grounds, a short drive from Windsor, a very short walk from the Thames and historical Runnymede and is brilliantly located for Heathrow. Legoland is no more than 10 mins away by car. Ample parking is available on site and the hotel is set over a range of buildings and locations, including the beautiful White House. We can’t credit the front of house team enough. They were exceptional, brilliantly professional, very friendly and exceptionally helpful, even when we arrived late at night following our arrival at LHR. The rooms are really well appointed, well decorated and the beds exceptionally comfortable. We had two great nights sleep there. It will be very difficult to find something you don’t like at breakfast. A very extensive range of well prepared and presented food and staff are on hand to help and tidy as required. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night with a drink in the bar beforehand. The restaurant menu is extensive and there should be something for everyone with reasonable prices and good portion sizes. We loved the wine list, which again had a great range available. Service was really good, attentive and friendly. Genuinely can’t recommend enough. It’s almost the hidden jewel of hotels in and around Windsor and Heathrow. We will definitely be using it again.
