Stayed 2 nights at the De Vere and couldn't fault it. Stayed in room 105 in the Towers a beautiful building just up from the main one. The room had a wonderfully comfortable Super King bed and the room was spacious and well catered for. Bathroom almost as spacious with lovely wash products/gels, and a very good hand rail installed for the step over bath with double shower attachments. Really nice breakfast selection and wonderfully will cooked breakfast. Staff wonderful and great stay was had. Note that it is nice and quiet just off the main road and ideal location for several national trust properties (Polesdon Lacey lovely) and RHS Wisley which is beautiful this time of year. All within a 20 min drive. Thanks to all at the De Vere!

we have stayed at this hotel a few years ago but it has recently been refurbished, some odd choices of decor! Our room was very nice and the addition of bottles of water was a nice touch. There were no tissues in the room and the towels were a strange choice, they needed to be bigger and i always like white, fluffy towels at hotels and these were grey and not fluffy. The buffet at breakfast was ample but the addition of some fresh fruit and pastries would be good. Dinner was good but the service was very slow and they were obviously busy and understaffed, which i know is a problem in hospitality at the moment. the staff were all very helpful, although the taxi booked for us had a minimum charge of £20 and we were going on a 5 minute trip, I would have been grateful for this information.

Although we only stopped for coffee at this hotel I feel I must congratulate the hotel on its beautiful gardens and friendly staff. The grounds are immaculate and the flowers beautiful. Top marks to whoever is in charge of the grounds. Also by what we saw of the interior of the hotel that looked immaculate as well.

At reception we got off to a bad start, on checking in we were asked for payment, I questioned this as I believed I had already paid in advance. The receptionist said we had not so we paid again, it was only when we got to the room and checked our banking details we discovered we had already paid The room was a described a small double, however it was dressed for a single occupancy, towels for 1 person, cup for one person and the single biscuit 😊. .Also when booking we were led to believe both parking and breakfast were included. This seemingly was is stated somewhere on the webpage however not immediately evident, on reading other reviews we were not the first guests to be confused by this. Having said this the room was clean, both members of staff we spoke to were extremely pleasant and the hotel is well situated for Central Guildford and well situated for access to the A3

GGuest UserDinner for two was lovely, stayed overnight with dinner and brew included. Elisa who served was fantastic, made us feel very welcome and couldn’t have been more accommodating, the extra effort made the evening very enjoyable. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back.

GGuest UserVery nice hotel, receptionist was very welcoming and friendly on check in. Parking was a little tight but managed to find space at the G Live across the road as hotels car park was full on arrival for check in. Perfect location as 10 minute walk to town centre. Would recommend this hotel!

GGuest UserAfter visiting Edinburgh, I went back to Surrey and stayed at this hotel, because I booked in the country and wanted to stay one more night, but there was no room. It is a 15-minute walk from the University of Surrey and close to Risari Railway Station Along the way, you can enjoy the English country style, quiet environment and fresh air. Breakfast is subject to additional charges.

GGuest UserStayed 2 nights at the De Vere and couldn't fault it. Stayed in room 105 in the Towers a beautiful building just up from the main one. The room had a wonderfully comfortable Super King bed and the room was spacious and well catered for. Bathroom almost as spacious with lovely wash products/gels, and a very good hand rail installed for the step over bath with double shower attachments. Really nice breakfast selection and wonderfully will cooked breakfast. Staff wonderful and great stay was had. Note that it is nice and quiet just off the main road and ideal location for several national trust properties (Polesdon Lacey lovely) and RHS Wisley which is beautiful this time of year. All within a 20 min drive. Thanks to all at the De Vere!
