Arrived in Makassar in the evening after a long day and spent almost an hour to find the hotel. There's currently big construction ongoing at the airport and there was no sign leading one's way to the Cordia Hotel Makassar. After asking my way through and transfering from one terminal to the other, I finally managed to find the hotel and check-in. It was very warm and stick in the entire building, the AC only worked properly in the room. The staff was friendly and there was a free shuttle to the airport terminal provided by the hotel. However, these are the only positive things unfortunately. And also seeing that other negative experiences shared here on TripAdvisor are being responded to by the same standard reply by the General Manager, I'm even more disappointed. It seems that they don't take on the things their guests feedback them on. The stay was relatively cheap but doesn't excuse for a dirty room: The floor in the shower was brown, a lot of corners, the sink, the blind, and shelf space were filthy, and the blanket (not sheet!) of the bed was stained rather than having been replaced. See also photos. Room service was only available for two dishes, although I had asked the reception before whether I can order anything from the room service card. The meal didn't taste super good and was rather disappointing. Last but not least: The shower water was more luke warm than warm at all. Also, to be noted that there's no classical bathroom but the shower is in the room next to the bed, so is the sink. The toilet is in a separate room fortunately. Overall, I wouldn't recommend and would've rather moved out of the airport for a 10min drive or so to spend the night at a cleaner hotel.
