Located a few steps from the entrance to the 1000 years old Chola Palace, the hotel is clean and its staff is friendly. The colours are held in dark blue which is fine in general but a bit awkward for the bathrooms. The restaurant is on the top floor. It has a terrace towards the lively main street below. No alcool served, but otherwise OK. The rooms, we stayed two nights, were clean and comfortable. However, the building is old and the door to our room was low and narrow. I hit my head a couple fo times. The old town with the palace is right opposite the hotel, and the Brihadisvara temple is in walking distance, about 2 km.

Superb hotel , beautiful room , ambience was amazing , right from reception and throughout the stay the hotel staff made our stay very comfortable. Hotel was beautiful exterior and interior. I felt that I was staying in my own place. I would definitely stay here again. A special mention to Mr.Sanjiv 🧓 (front desk) he’s been helpful all the time I have checked in hotel. He’s such a humble *** and helped me a lot during the stay to explore city and from my very first time in SANGAM till now Mr. Sanjiv been really helpful and with such an ease & calm he did all the need. He’s always ready to help and provide with a big smile on. Each and every member from restaurant are extremely good in service. I’m extremely thankful for made my stay memorable.

Service and location of this hotel are the best in Thanjavur. Very near to Thanjavur railway station , Brideshwara temple , Market area. Complimentary breakfast and quality of the food and taste also good, Specially S .Mohan the restaurant manager really a nice ***. Overall nice and comfortable stay with them.

We visited this property after being there 20 years ago. Still a fab property. Staff exceptional. Place requires a lot of repairs and I am sure they are on to it. The only thing we were very upset was - about our drivers accommodation and food. A GRT run property DOES NOT provide food or not even a cup of tea. The accommodation provided had serious issues with mosquitos so our driver slept in the car. The location of the property was away from shops and other accommodation so to have a cup of coffee our driver had to drive a fair distance. I escalated this to the ***agement mid way of our stay - of course the answer was we will do it sir - but absolutely nothing happened. We plan to be back again as we like the place. But if this is not improved we will reluctantly look for alternatives.

GGuest UserRoom was clean and comfortable. Receptionist behave good and polite manner and friendly. Restaurant was very good and delivered on before time.

JJulieConway831There was building work going on next door. The rooms were ok. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was not great but water was hot. Wi-Fi was ok. Good location as near to the bus terminal. Good parking facilities too. Only local breakfast available and no choice as they just knock you door randomly in the morning and give you a tray

GGuest UserThe room was ready on time. I was able to contact the property owner, who was very helpful. The caretakers arranged transport at reasonable rates and were supportive throughout the stay. The room was clean and hygienic. The ac worked well. Hot water was available. The lication is quite good, not far from the city tempmes and railway station. Would recommend for family and solo travellers. Decent and safe place.

GGuest UserNear Mahamaham temple. Spacious and clean rooms. Decent service. Fan in the restroom ( Good idea if you how Indians use toilet !! ). Car parking at the back of the hotel is large. Restaurant serves Veg and Non-veg. Pure veg have to go out in the town for Tiffin.

GGuest UserI am utterly disgusted by the horrendous experience I had at your establishment just week ago. I ordered a cup of coffee to my room, only to be served a flask containing tiny worms floating in the cup. It's beyond belief that such a repulsive incident occurred under your roof. When we confronted the server about this nauseating discovery, he callously claimed that the particles were merely paper dust from sugar bags. As if that wasn't appalling enough, upon emptying the flask, we discovered flies at the bottom. The lack of empathy and responsibility from your staff is infuriating. No one bothered to inquire about my well-being after consuming a concoction that you call coffee. Your promise to ”take action” is nothing but a hollow statement, considering the blatant disregard for customer health and safety. How dare you run a hospitality business without the basic decency to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the products you serve? I find it absolutely unacceptable that I had to endure such a nightmarish experience at your establishment. The blatant negligence and lack of accountability from your end are not only disappointing but also raise serious questions about the standards of your business. I de***d immediate and concrete actions to address this matter. Your negligence has not only ruined my stay but also jeopardized my health for couple of days. It's appalling that I have to express my anger and frustration in such a ***ner, but your lack of concern leaves me with no choice. I expect a swift and comprehensive resolution to this issue, ***** with a sincere and unequivocal apology. Your customers deserve better!! Also the tv cable was not checked before the room was given. The TV was not working properly at all.
