Booked a brief 6-hour overnight stay to catch a few hours sleep & a shower between long flight days, was worth every penny. Got in just after midnight in late June & took a pic of the ocean from my balcony, beautiful! Everything was clean, comfortable, & the staff very nice & accommodating. Hotel only a couple of miles from the airport.

The hotel is conveniently close to the airport. We had a late flight and contactless checkin was very nice. The room was bare bones and the bed wasn’t comfortable. My biggest concern was the temperature in the shower. It was SCALDING. I can’t imagine anyone could actually stand under it and it didn’t change no matter which way you turned the handle. If I was coming to Iceland again under the same circumstances, I would suck it up and get a more expensive hotel.

Nicely surprised at this small gem. It is renovated but not “new” so I was originally a bit disappointed upon entering the small lobby but I quickly fell in love. Very nice staff and cute room. Loved the location in a nice harbor town very close to airport . Best part is the unexpectedly GREAT restaurant in the hotel with fantastic views of the harbor. Best grilled lamb and seafood we ate in Iceland!

Room hygiene is OK, domestic quality, breakfast is average, there are few things, but tea, coffee and hot water are available all day, which is still very convenient. The location is 6 kilometers away from the airport and 20 kilometers away from the blue lake, which is very convenient After traveling around the island, take a break and leave by plane. When the hotel goes out, turn right and there is a Thai meal, which makes it more comfortable to eat. The room is not big, and the water for bathing and showering is relatively large. Easy parking. The hotel can sign up for various tourism projects and signed up for the Aurora Group. I was very lucky to see the 8-level Aurora, a small group, and a full-size SUV to pick up and drop off the store, which is very convenient and comfortable.

What a great way to end our two week trip. An overnight layover in Iceland and this is the perfect place to stay for Iceland hospitality. Andy picked us up at the airport and gave us a a full tour of the 1x6. Funny guy! Quirky place with just the right amount of quirky. Bed is comfortable, pleasant surprise of homemade chocolate and a bottle of water on our door at bedtime, Andy (Comedian, hotelier, barista and chauffeur) made us espresso in the morning and got us on the final leg of our trip. Close to Keflavik Airport but a world away. Oh, and don’t miss the “blue lagoon “ just in the courtyard.

Perfect for your stay before leaving for the airport. Short distance to the airport, plenty of parking lots, gas station and grocery store nearby. The hotel isn’t the coziest, but it gets the job done. The price is fair. I would book there again.

This hotel is the best I have ever stayed at! Service was excellent, staff friendly and professional. The room is very luxurious and comfortable, with all facilities. The food was of extremely high quality and every dish was stunning. The massage service at the spa completely relaxed me. The hotel is in a great location with stunning views. The entire stay was unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel as an ideal choice whether traveling for business or leisure. I will definitely stay again!

CcaigbWhat a great way to end our two week trip. An overnight layover in Iceland and this is the perfect place to stay for Iceland hospitality. Andy picked us up at the airport and gave us a a full tour of the 1x6. Funny guy! Quirky place with just the right amount of quirky. Bed is comfortable, pleasant surprise of homemade chocolate and a bottle of water on our door at bedtime, Andy (Comedian, hotelier, barista and chauffeur) made us espresso in the morning and got us on the final leg of our trip. Close to Keflavik Airport but a world away. Oh, and don’t miss the “blue lagoon “ just in the courtyard.

GGuest UserThis is a great stay especially if you're in for a late arrival or arrived after a long flight or an early departure. My flight arrived at 6:55 pm, and I was there by 8 pm. Once you get your rental car, the place is only 9 km away, which you can easily get to. The woman at the reception was very kind. Its got a good kitchen and neat rooms and WCs. The day I was there, the breakfast was from 4 to 9 am, which I believe is for people who are up to catch their early flights. For me personally, Start Hostel was the perfect stay to start my vacation in Iceland.

RRachel小曹The hotel is right next to the Budir Church. It should be the only hotel around here. It feels secluded and the environment is beautiful. Food and accommodation are generally very good, but the faucet in the sink is very strange. The two faucets are independent, and the hot water is extremely hot, and the cold water is biting, so you can’t directly turn on the faucet when washing your face. , Or take it in the pool to wash or bite the scalp and wash in cold water

GGuest UserA five minute ride to the airport. Hotel offers one way rides to the airport but you need to book in advance if you are staying here. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bathroom was excellent. Breakfast timings accommodate very early travelers. Overall, great place to stay!

HHangHoThe interior decoration of the hotel is very thoughtful and beautiful! The room space is very sufficient, few have bathtubs, and spa functions! Wifi network is normal, there is gym room. Laundry service also has (charged), only after the fact know. The hotel restaurant is also very standard, and there are many beautiful furnishings. The staff are very friendly. It is a very good hotel.

GGuest UserNicely surprised at this small gem. It is renovated but not “new” so I was originally a bit disappointed upon entering the small lobby but I quickly fell in love. Very nice staff and cute room. Loved the location in a nice harbor town very close to airport . Best part is the unexpectedly GREAT restaurant in the hotel with fantastic views of the harbor. Best grilled lamb and seafood we ate in Iceland!

Got in just after midnight in late June & took a pic of the ocean from my balcony, beautiful! Everything was clean, comfortable, & the staff very nice & accommodating. Hotel only a couple of miles from the airport.
