This is a beautiful and stylish hotel, with very helpful staff and a high quality breakfast. The hotel is next to the river and a very short walk to the central piazza and cathedral. You couldn’t ask for a better location. I stayed here with my wife and two children, they loved the quality and location of this hotel. The only downside is that for the price you’d like to see air conditioning in the rooms. During August it was so hot the windows needed to be opened. As it’s next to a river it was quite noisy. Also, a local wine festival was on that night (which was great by the way) but it meant for some noise in the early hours as people made their way home. I’d stay here again. The staff were very accommodating to my family.

Hotel Zum Goldener Adler is located on the edge of Klausen in South Tirol at 0,8 km of the railway-station. The hotel is family managed and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Free station-shuttle, Wi-Fi, sauna & fitness and parking. The breakfast is excellent. Built in 2003, Zum Goldener Adler has 37 rooms over 4 floors, and offers bed & breakfast. The hotel is charming and pleasant. You van enjoy a coffee or a drink inside or at the terrace. No lunch or diner. The rooms at the backside of the building have some traffic noise from the SS12 road. Our spacious room was nicely furnished and decorated, with a good double bed, a bench that can be turned into an extra double bed, TV, table with bench & chair, wardrobe & safe and in the middle of the room an antique Kachelofen. We had a spacious separate bathroom with toilet & bidet, bath, washbasin, and shower. All was perfectly clean. The buffet breakfast is very good: bread, rolls & toast, ham & cheese, eggs made to order, butter & marmalade, croissants & pastries, fruit & juices, cereals, milk & mineral water, tea & coffee. We found hotel hotel Zum Goldener Adler most pleasant & comfortable with nice sauna and we had a good stay. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for 4 nights - family of 5 with kids age 13,10 and 4. The facilities were great and catered to all our needs with activities to keep our kids occupied. The kids loved the many pools which was one of the reason we chose to stay here. With half board we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and really good 3 course dinner. The only but is there was no variation in the kids’ menu which consisted of the same item to pick from. And it was the classic nuggets, burger or turkey snitzel with fries or pasta. Our kids like food, so they were quite disappointed because they had been looking forward to different pastas dishes, being in Italy. This is the only reason why we’re are reluctant to stay here another time, to deprive the kids of good food

The rooms have everything you need, super convenient beds, large balcony, breakfast buffet is top, here too everything you need and much more (croissants in various variations :-) ), Delightful cappuccino, fresh egg food and nice talks. There are parking facilities directly at the hotel and also a (cost-effective) deep garage. The hotel is conveniently located: you are quick in the centre of Brixen but also quick at the Tal Station of Plose. The Millanderhof Hotel is also located at the Brixen Card. This is totally practical because buses, railways and also cableways are included. In this context, especially practical: stops of several bus lines in the immediate surroundings. We have a little traffic noise due to the location, but that has not really disturbed us. The advantages are greater. With the friendly and family atmosphere we have already decided that we will definitely come back.

Excellent location (7 minutes walk from station and right in the center of town), immaculate and good size rooms, wonderful spa and Jacuzi, ... Breakfast was good but a bit limited on variety. Staff are very friendly and helpful, specially Shabab who gave us a lot of super useful tips about the city and sightseeing. He also helped us to upgrade the room which was amazing. We could not fault anything in the hotel. We were also impressed with free Bolzano Card which was offered by hotel and is really fantastic for using cable cars, buses etc free of charge. We'd definitely go back.

Premesso che non conosco l'Hotel, ma frequento da diversi anni il ristorante (per fare un esempio in agosto 2023 per 3 sere su 10 giorni di soggiorno, in inverno almeno una sera a cena con coppie di amici,ecc ). Nella settimana appena trascorsa per due sere. La prima sera tutto benissimo come sempre, ieri sera no. Pur sapendo che la cucina chiude alle 21, avevo al momento della prenotazione, concordato l'accesso per le 20.30. All' orario giusto ci siamo presentati.Ci è stato assegnato un tavolo non preparato,pieno di briciole di pane. L'apparecchiatura è stata eseguita con forchetta e coltello avvolti in un tovagliolino di carta basico, diverso da quelli soliti un po' più consistenti presenti sugli altri tavoli. Dopo un po' una cameriera è venuta per la ordinazione. Alla richiesta del Tris di canederli, ci è stato fatto notare che la cucina era intasata e che non sapeva quanto tempo avremmo dovuto attendere. Mia moglie allora ha dirottato su una cotoletta di maiale,come già avevo ordinato io. Dopo circa 40 minuti sono arrivate. Nel frattempo abbiamo richiesto il cestino di pane che non ci era stato portato. La cotoletta era completamente distaccata dalla impanatura. Giudicare il servizio carente è purtroppo la verità di ieri sera. Peccato perché come ho accennato prima il fascino di questo locale e la qualità del cibo è sempre stata ottima. Evidentemente ieri sera era una ”serata no”. Speriamo nella prossima volta.

Essendo di passaggio, abbiamo provato soltanto la ristorazione per pranzo. Difficile trovare nel menu preparazioni senza carne, escluso qualche antipasto. Abbiamo scelto il ”piccolo” piatto di insalata, che era invece una bella ciotola di verdure miste molto buone. Per completare il pasto un ottimo dolce Kaiserschmarren, guarnito con confettura di mirtilli rossi e fragole fresche. Da ricordare anche la birra weisse prodotta nel Sudtirolo. Servizio gentile, prezzi medi.

Sorry we only booked and stayed one night. If arriving by car, check Google maps for the lane behind the hotel where you drop off your luggage and enter the hotel. Reception then provides a map for parking across the river. From check in to check out, service was exemplary. Given the hotel’s location, we were sure how check in would be with a car however staff at reception made it was easy. Check out was just as easy retrieving the car, and then loading it at the back door. The room we booked was a classic double with balcony. It was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well and the wi fi signal was strong. We slept well, hotel is quiet and the room was quiet. The hotel has an elevator and the location is ideal. Breakfast was a very nice buffet with plenty of variety. Fresh fruit cocktail, fresh pineapple, melon and 'freshly' squeezed orange juice!! Pastries were delicious - chocolate croissant - fantastic. Scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, cereal, etc. All fantastic. What a well managed hotel, and a great team of employees! Nice job Aurora Hotel.

We have been in the outskirts, but with a bus stop in front of the entrance, we have always moved to walk because in ten minutes you get to the center and you can admire a wonderful landscape. We were welcome, and the staff were always very kind and ready to meet our needs. The room is comfortable and spacious for us who were in four with two bathrooms always clean. The pool covered is very wide and with large glasses with a beautiful view. Positive experience, very recommended hotels! We would be happy to return!

CClaire MWe choose to stay at Hotel Asterix, because our son who we were visiting lives close by in a dormitory, plus even though the price was still quite high, it was less than most of the hotels in the area.
We were greeted cordially when we arrived and generally, all staff was very friendly. At the reception area, there were many flyers introducing to-dos in the area, including a city map.
The room was quite small for three people, but sufficient and, what is always most important to me, it was very clean and the beds were comfy. The same goes for the bathroom - it was super clean and small, but despite that practical. Towels were provided as was the soap dispenser (hands, hair&body in the shower). For everything else, I guess, we could have asked, but there was no need for us - we always have our little travel version when on the way.
The room & bathroom were made up and cleaned everyday properly.
Altogether a pleasant stay!
Check-in hours are 17:00-23:00, check out 8:00-10:00; usually it wouldn't be very convenient for us - earlier check-in let's say starting 14:00) and later check-out (12:00) would be so much better - but this time, for once, it fit our travel plans perfectly, on arrival as well as at departure.
