More than a stay was a suggestive experience. Sleep inside the Fort, knowing that since the closure of the streams only the hotel guests, thanks to the in-check badge, can move inside it, was really fascinating and fascinating. The room was really large, furnished in modern but sober style with a correct reminder of military essence, and we found it comfortable and clean. The room is very beautiful next to the reception and is available to guests to give a coffee, a tea or a dish in all relaxation. Breakfast is served in the cafeteria of the strong and although it has no special choice of buffet products, it offers a discrete possibility between sweet and salt, including some express meals. The reception is managed by local staff who, compared to other top-class hotels, are also managing Check-in and Check-out with friendliness and kindness to provide the information that is useful for the customer's stay. and they are intervening to try to solve, as in our case, some problems that have occurred during the stay (which do not allow us to give the maximum of the votes). During the night the service is not active, but night surveillance is present. A plus free parking for guests at the foot of the fort (to reach the reception at the top of the fort are available small panoramic lifts) and the discount on visits to the interior of the fort, museums and bookshops. Very good price quality ratio. We'll be back.

We were looking forward to a stay at this hotel as it could have been the perfect location for us during frequent drives from France to Italy, unfortunately things started to go wrong from the minute we arrived. The receptionist told us we were not allowed to park in one of the hotel spaces at the front of the hotel, moreover we needed to pay for their spaces at the back of the hotel or alternatively park for free in the Lidl supermarket opposite. She said the front spaces were kept free for any local people who “may” want to eat at the hotel, even though we had actually reserved a table in their restaurant for dinner anyway. We felt absolutely unwelcome! Then we checked into our room. The door entrance to the room is difficult, the bed is hard and the lighting makes it impossible to use the dressing table for make up and hair, as does the minimal lighting in the bathroom. Dinner in the restaurant was not up to the standard we thought we would get for the price paid. I had to return my very rare steak twice although the waiter had previously assured me that the chef was happy to cook my steak to medium. The potatoes on my dish and my husband’s meal were completely burned and inedible.By the time my steak came back the second time, my husband had finished what he could eat of his meal. As I have absolutely never had to write such a poor review of any hotel, I asked to talk to Evis, the hotel Manager first, to explain my disappointment. We were not looking for a discount on our bill, just for Evis to acknowledge the problems we had faced. Sadly doing that seemed too difficult for her and she simply took the small price of the burnt potatoes off the bill. Her parting comment was that maybe we were not used to staying in a 4 star hotel! We left with the impression that this hotel does not welcome tourists and is only interested in “selling” the hotel to local people. We would not want to risk another meal or an overnight stay here again.

Although it is quite expensive, the dinner inside is so delicious, I admire the chef too. Very romantic place

We had a fantastic stay, comfortable tidy rooms with views from balconies, air conditioning for those hot summer days and curtains that kept the room dark for a good nights sleep. Easy free parking for our team vans, a small fitness room and a dining room for our team. We opted for breakfast and dinners at the hotel with plenty of options for dinner to feed hungry athletes. The staff were always helpful and a short travel to central Ivrea. We would have stayed here longer if they had the availability for our team.
