The hotel is close to the airport and is on the main road to Tekapo. The owner is Chinese. My plane is in the middle of the night. It is almost two o'clock to arrive at the hotel. The boss has opened the heating in the room and it is very warm in the room. Because of the late arrival, I contacted the password of the room key box in advance, but I didn’t think that the New Zealand hotel used a very old password box. After a long time, I didn’t open it. The boss heard the movement and helped open it. Hotel facilities are ok.

We are self-driving, we can park for free, we will send milk to children when we check in. New Zealand hotels are checked out at 10 o'clock. This is our first hotel in New Zealand. If you don’t pay attention, it is 10 o'clock. Room, hotel directly delayed for us to check out at 11 o'clock, very human.

We've stayed here several times now because of the central location, quick trip to the airport and access to a variety of restaurants and shops. We were absolutely delighted to be upgraded to a one bedroom unit with a separate lounge/dining area for extra comfort, thank you Apollo team! The rooms are well equipped with full kitchen facilities for meal preparation, great shower and comfy bed. Only one thing that we can see improved is a deep clean of the bathroom and shower area to remove dustiness in corners and mould from the shower cavity. Perhaps a good dose of bleach, 30 seconds shower spray and remove and clean the rubber seals in the shower. We'll definitely be back again.

The family stayed at Garden City for approx 6 weeks as we had a child in Burwood Hospital. Maree and Stuart were very helpful while we commuted between islands. They did things like warm the room before we arrived, let us store items and gave us directions around such a flat city.

This is the second time we stayed here. We found the experience very relaxing and the hosts extremely accommodating. They went out of their way to please us and succeeded in doing so. The room we had was perfect for us. The motel itself is probably a bit dated but nonetheless, comfortable, clean and tidy. The rooms are a good size and contain all that is necessary for a long or short stay. I believe there is a pool although we didn't use it. Outside the gate there is a bus stop for your convenience and a Z petrol station right next door. Plenty of eateries in walking distance. If you want a comfortable stay with very good hosts this is the place for you. Thank you so much to our hosts for all they did for us.

The hotel is small, new and in excellent condition. It is comparable to 3.5 to 4 star hotel. The room size is excellent if you book the 1 or 2 bedroom unit. The hotel provides basic amenities like brushes, toothpaste, slippers and cooking facilities etc. Also free parking. Location is excellent and close to Westfield mall. The hotel has a cafe call Ngon Ngon and serve good food especially Vietnamese beef noddle. One setback is aircon is in the main or living room, the bedroom does not have aircon.

GGuest UserThe V motel is conveniently located within walking distance of a shopping mall and grocery store and a 15-minute drive to the airport. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is large, clean and very well-equipped. It has all the things that a business traveller needs, except for an iron and ironing board. The bed is comfortable and the towels and linings are clean. The Sony TV is large with Youtube and Netflix. It even provides some cereals and bananas, milk and yogurt for breakfast or snacks. The internet is fast and instructions, passwords are clear and easy to follow. Lastly, the price is fair and very affordable. I highly recommend this motel and would come back to it the next time.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location, but it is a big hotel. The staff are very pleasant and they make it feel more personal. It is close to shops, restaurants / cafes, the tram and most of what Christchurch city has to offer. We booked direct with the hotel, a good price for the location, but our studio room had a view of a carpark and other room windows. The room was big enough but an extra chair would have been better. We did not like the uncomfortable pillows and the extremely heavy bed cover we had to remove. We don’t normally ask for clean towels each day, but had to with no where to hang to dry sufficiently and no electric towel hanger like we have had in most other hotels we’ve stayed in NZ. Overall a pleasant stay and no problem with valet parking.

AAlexandraGreat sized room and was very handy to be able to do some washing and have a kitchenette. Location was good, close enough to city centre but not right in the middle! We found the shower bath to be unsafe to use as a shower.. it was very high to step over, uneven to stand on and extremely slippery. My partner slipped and slightly fell which was a close call. A non slip mat would be handy in future for sure. Other than that we were kept awake by hoons cruising loudly down the road all night, but not much the hotel can do about that so more of a side note.

GGuest UserRoom was very comfortable and clean. good facilities. TV was amazing. Lots to choose from on it. Microwave for cooking supplied. Fridge also. Washing facilities if required and all Free! Staff were amazing. So very accommodating. Listening to all your needs and running with all your requirements. Very friendly team. Beds are very comfortable. Situated within walking distance of hospital and lots of places to eat around as well. A mall is not far away. Prices to stay were excellent.

GGuest UserA very nice hostel. I only stayed in this hostel for one night but I will definitely go back there. Rooms clean, quite large and modern decor. I did not stay in a dorm room but the whole building makes such a good impression with good vibes that I would recommend it to anyone, even a solo traveler, especially the May bar where everything is reasonably priced.

GGuest UserVery clean comfortable place to stay. Owner is delightful and very helpful. It’s a convenient location and on several bus routes so easy to get around. Shower was great and it was good to have fresh coffee available in the room. Cafe is just around the corner for a delicious breakfast.

YYANSHUII booked 3 bedrooms apartment with 3 queen beds and 1 sofa bed. The room is good. The only negative feedback is about the extra charge $30 each for children over 2 years old per night, as many hotels don’t charge children under 11 if they use existing beds. And more importantly, those hotels provide the info on Trip. I was surprised when I was told about the extra charge $180 for 3 children for 2 nights, eventually negotiated down to $90. I would suggest the hotel put children policy on Trip so that people is aware of extra $30 per child (over 2 years old) when they make the booking instead of checking in.
