Title: A Home Away from Home at Dahun Villa
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dahun Villa, and it was an unforgettable experience. The villa boasts a serene atmosphere and a unique architecture that utilizes indigenous materials, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the beautiful surroundings of Siargao.
What truly made our stay exceptional, however, were the gracious owners and their attentive staff. The German owner was able to connect with my fiancé on a personal level, while the local owner shared our passion for sports, such as freediving. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home, and they even went above and beyond by introducing us to their friends who are business owners in Siargao.
Dahun Villa's immaculate rooms and facilities were another highlight of our stay, providing the perfect space to unwind and recharge. Their adorable little ”Peter Parker” kiddo also brought a delightful energy to the place.
Our experience at Dahun Villa not only inspired us to explore more of Siargao's beauty but also to consider setting up our own business to prolong our stay on this enchanting island. The connections we made with local business owners during our stay will be invaluable as we pursue this dream. If you're looking for a tranquil, welcoming retreat on Siargao, I highly recommend a stay at Dahun Villa.

GGuest UserBuddha's is a small, almost family-like, cozy resort with approximately 10 rooms, all in generally good condition. We experienced an issue with a non-flushing toilet for about two days, which was attributed to heavy rainfall. This unexpected rainfall also prompted us to leave earlier than planned, although it did cause a two-day delay in our departure due to canceled flights. The Buddha's team is exceptionally friendly and helpful, truly top-notch, not only when it comes to surfing but also with any other requests or concerns you may have. The location, like many neighboring hotels, is not right on the beach but on the other side of the road, which can sometimes be audible. Nevertheless, you'll feel surrounded by palm trees and other lush vegetation, almost as if you're in the middle of the jungle. Dining occasionally at the resort's restaurant is worthwhile; while the menu may not be extensive, the quality of the cuisine is outstanding. However, fear not, as there are plenty of other delicious restaurants nearby to explore as well.

This hotel is a clifftop sanctuary that offers the perfect blend of tranquility and natural beauty. Nestled atop a breathtaking cliff, it provides stunning views of the ocean, ideal for anyone looking to reconnect with nature or find a peaceful retreat. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, with plush bedding and a minimalist design that emphasizes relaxation. Each room boasts large windows that frame the beautiful seascape, allowing guests to wake up to the soothing sounds of the waves. The amenities at Trogon's Perch are excellent, from reliable Wi-Fi to friendly and attentive staff who go out of their way to ensure your stay is memorable. Its location strikes a perfect balance between seclusion for peace and proximity to General Luna for those interested in surfing or nightlife. My stays here have been absolutely rejuvenating, and I highly recommend Trogon's Perch to anyone visiting Siargao. Whether you're coming back from a surf trip or just need a break from the parties in General Luna, this hotel is the ultimate place to relax and recharge.

GGuest UserKalipay was in the best location ever, yet also like a sanctuary of peace! It helped that there weren’t too many guests when we were there too (as we were just at the beginning of the season). The staff were absolutely lovely and helped us book all of our motorbikes, transfers & surf lessons. We had the reception number on WhatsApp so if our plans changed we could easily contact them to help us - honestly, it took all the faff out of the holiday and meant we could really enjoy ourselves. The room was gorgeous and so big for 2 people! Great shower, air con or a ceiling fan, super comfy bed (if you prefer a slightly harder memory foam feel) & complimentary drinking water and tea. There was also a mini fridge of snacks which you did need to pay extra for but we enjoyed this to have a sweet treat post dinner! There are great drink / dinner options within a 2 minute walk, or 5 minute motorbike ride. We would recommend CEV for amazing ceviche (we went twice) & Goodies did a great cocktail. We also ate breakfast and lunch at Kalipay once and enjoyed both meals. Thank you so much to the Kalipay team - we’d come back in a heartbeat! Emma & Ed

Friendly boss and staff. So nice. Appreciate every little details as a tourists needed, like dryer in every floor, water dispenser, 24hrs ice cubes in the dinning area for guests, hot water. so peaceful and comfortable bed. Free parking area, not to mention it's very spacious, so if you have a car, a van, or whatever, you can park it here. Internet is good. Fluctuation is the problem in the entire island since last year, but the hotel has a generator, so no need to worry if there's a power interruption. Overall, higly recommend!

ZZe-BWe stayed in a private room at Casavia Siargao and had a great experience overall. The room was spacious, with a comfy bed and pillows that ensured restful nights. The hostel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the positive vibe of the place.
The hostel offers some great spaces for chilling out and socializing, which we appreciated after long days of exploring. During our stay, the island was experiencing a three-week-long power cut. Thankfully, the hostel had a generator and used it on a schedule, which helped make the situation manageable.
There’s a construction site adjacent to the hostel, but it didn’t really affect us since we were out during the day, and work had usually finished by the time we returned.
Overall, Casavia Siargao provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay, even under challenging circumstances. We’d recommend it to anyone visiting the island and looking for a friendly and relaxed place to stay.

The staff was pretty helpful. The rooms were adequate. The amenities is sufficient but could improve otherwise.
Biggest drawback was it's location.
The hotel is pretty far from the city centre. Just prepare to have your lunch in and dinn at the hotel as some delivery doesn't go all the way from the city to the hotel address.
The pool was well maintained. The beach front is all murky and muddy. The shoreline was limited and was more rocky than sandy. They had a dinner entertainment the night we checked in but the singer informed us that it was more of a weekend gig.
The sheets weren't changed on the 2nd night of our stay. The room was very spacious which was a plus. You would have to book premium rooms to get the sealine view otherwise you'll be stuck with a dead end wall. The room was spacious enough to fit 2 queen beds but the booking would only allow 2 persons when it could fit 4. You would have to pay extra for the ”extra bed”.
It's strongest suit would probably be it's staff and it's worst is it's location.
Also I think they should have a service that can transport guests from almont butuan to surigao. I would have paid extra for that.

Nature Vibes and Beach front location! The resort is really amazing cottages right on the beachfront with the view of famous guyam and daku Island. Super good location walking distance to everything like, surrounded with many resto BAR you don't need to ride a car or motorbike because everything is walking distance. They also have a lots of selection on the MENU both local and international food and it delicious try the BARBECUE children w/unli rice and the yummy Pizza w/ free Pithier of juice. They can also organize a private for at very reasonable price. Just simply ask the reception they can organized and advice any tours. Private tour, Island tour, land tour, kayak rentals, motor bike rental, car rentals almost everything they have. The best part for me resort is very quiet, nice garden and they have huge long beachfront that you can't feel any crowd. Highly recommended their resort, i will go back again and again. ;)

SSwaterfieldMy goals for this holiday trip was peace and quiet away from any crowds, and I got just that here.
The island is really remote, so be prepared for that. It took a 1.5 hour boat ride from Sairgao to reach the resort but once here, it was super relaxing.
The resort itself is dated but still comfortable. The bed slept well and the over the water hit had the best view of the cove 24hr a day. In the room, you have a fridge for items that you bring with you, a balcony, and a separate bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and shower. Bring your own toiletries as they do want to protect the environment and only provide soap and shampoo.
The resort offered a day trip to nearby cases and coves (non-stinging jellyfish!) that was lovely. You also have free use of kayaks and paddle boards. I brought my own snorkeling gear with me and water shoes. The ground is rocky to get into the water, so you might need them.
The menu at the resort is simple but good. Anything chicken was the best!
Make sure you bring cash for everything as credit card are shown to be accepted but aren’t. You will need to pay cash for everything.
Also note that this is a remote part of the island so the is nothing around and you are surrounded by wildlife, which is exactly what I wanted. Keep that in mind when you book!
I recommend taking the tour to see the jellyfish (non-stinging) and caves. It was amazing.
