Mosteiros Place was our second place to stay on our recent trip to Sao Miguel, before heading home. An extra bed was provided for our daughter in the living area, this was quite acceptable for us. The apartment was beautiful, clean, spacious and well appointed. Very private, quiet and relaxing. The view from the living area and bedroom was just stunning, allowing us to just gaze at the ocean and sunsets. A balcony to sit out on too. Huge bedroom and excellent bathroom. We asked for a kettle to supplement the coffee maker in our kitchen area, this was provided immediately. Breakfasts were ample and good choice. We left early on the final morning. The staff offered to provide food at the early hour for us.We declined as it was too early to eat, but the kind offer was there for us. The staff are what make this place special. So helpful and no rush, making you feel the most important person. All ladies that looked after us were super and so friendly. Car parking and easy access to the secure property. We found it easier to drive up the hill and turn around, then approach the entrance from the other direction due to the angle of the driveway, but this was no problem on the quiet road. Thank you for making us feel extremely welcome and giving us a relaxing end to our holiday.

The complex is located in the tranquil village of Capela, a quarter drive from the capital and the airport. A car is a must, but you need it to visit this beautiful island. Our 2-kamerappartement was very spacious and clean. The beds were fine with choice from two kitchens. The hotel is very fully equipped with oven, microwave, Nespresso device (cups for payment) and water cooker with free tea. With no cleaning, you will receive a €3 voucher per day to spend in the restaurant. However, €3 is not worth much in this restaurant, since prices are huge: a cappuccino costs €3.50 here while the prices for coffee are around €1.20 on the island you need to ask yourself for the vouchers, The hotel was very comfortable and it was very comfortable and it was very comfortable and it was very comfortable. Nice quiet location (you need a car), good medium plus quality hotel, friendly staff. Satnav on first arrival may get confused (I mean satnav users, of course) by two close but unconnected branches of road having the same name – you have been warned ! Slightly uninspired food (you can have supper here including a Saturday buffet, but there are better restaurants within a short drive. Wine selection very poor). Breakfast buffet typical - good fruit, poor ‘fruit juice’, best bacon I had in half a dozen Azores hotels ... if you want proper coffee rather than instant you have to ask for it. Restaurant has outdoor seating for smokers. Would recommend overall.

The scenery is good, a bit biased, eating is very inconvenient, the hotel restaurant is not bad.
