1 night stay. 1st, our key cards didn't work. No big deal, went to the front desk and had the card activated. Went for a swim in the pool a bit after 9:00 pm, went to the pool & my key card denied me access. Returned to the room, looked on the website and could not find any information about pool hours. Decided to call the front desk. This was where things got REALLY frustrating. I dialed 0 and got a recording to press ”3” etc. Did this many times and could not get through to the freaking front desk. Thought maybe I was doing something wrong and had my husband try. No dice. Gave up bc I didn't want to ruin a perfectly nice night. Swam briefly in the pool the next morning. It was warm! Yay! It is a very small pool. Breakfast was pretty good.
Had 1 of 2 rooms cancelled before arrival. Was told one room was cancelled due to an issue with my cc which was bs. Was told the hotel was full but they can figure something out for me. They found me a second room but it was with a King bed. So I have three beds with five people. One of the rooms did not have any towels. I called the front desk to request towels and was told the hotel did not have any towels to provide and that a manager is going to buy some tomorrow. After complaining to the front desk I called Hiltons Customer Service. Hiltons Customer Service told me to call back at 8am in the morning and ask for a supervisor. I get a knock on the door at about 3am and the front desk person brings me two pool towels a floor towel. I was also assured this would not be an issue moving forward. The next morning complimentary breakfast was completely gone by 730am and once the food is gone that is it until the next day. I get back to my room the next evening and I have two large dry towels in my room. I call the front desk and ask for an additional large towel, a few middle size towels, and a few wash cloths. I was told the hotel did not have any to provide. The towels were an issue the entire stay. The complimentary breakfast was available until the food was gone and not continuous throughout the stated breakfast time. Each day I would get I would have to go back to the front desk because the keys had to be reset as the doors would not unlock. The hotel manager stated they would provide additional point to my account because of the terrible experience but I have yet to see any. You may wonder why I would not just go to another hotel……After the first night I tried to relocate to another hotel but a baseball tournament had all of the area hotels completely booked.
New hotel, facilities are still relatively new, the design is reasonable, the details are in place. Next to the Shell gas station, 2 minutes walk from Ole, you can squeeze to the last second. Although it is simple, breakfast in the United States seems to be the same.

I've stayed here 3 times and each time has been completely different. First time I stayed I had a wonderful very clean modern room with the option to use these amazing blue recessed lights. The staff was attentive, everyone was friendly and my keys were ready before I got there. I checked in shower ID and was in my room. The second time I stayed was because of my first visit. The second visit I was crushed to know there were only select rooms with the blue lights and that they were already taken. The last time I stayed I had a double queen room that had a couple roaches and a crooked TV mounted on the wall. The TV had a hard time picking up the remote unless you moved closer. Property is beautiful but I have been let down the last 2 stays.
There are two Holiday Inn Express hotels with Cypress addresses...we chose this one, which was the wrong one. While it put us 10 miles away from our friends we were there to visit, it put us 10 miles closer to downtown for our day exploring. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The glass shower door was hard to maneuver for someone with beginning stages of arthritis. The complimentary breakfast was my least favorite of the 5 hotels we stayed in on our vacation journey. Why offer instant oatmeal but make a person burn their fingers getting hot water from the coffee machine? Who allows their inventory to run out of milk, especially when you are hosting a traveling youth baseball team? This experience kept me from making the same mistake this week in another booking...right city, wrong location.
