GGuest UserThis is a lovely building with much attention to detail in it's design. Our room was very nice with quality furnishings with one exception. We both felt that the mattress was extremely uncomfortable considering the higher price we paid for the room. Self parking is about 1/4 mile from the hotel entrance which seemed odd to me. There was no provision for a shuttle service. We ate one meal at the hotel - a banquet for the event we attended. The food was good but not outstanding. Overpriced for what we got. No free continental breakfast.
GGuest UserThis hotel surprised me. Expected a usual budget chain hotel. This was better. To start is the reception. Met 3 nice ladies. Arasele , Ro, and Patricia. All were friendly and efficient. Patrica was especially helpful with a few calls I made prior to arrival. The room was clean , not outdated as many are, the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve had in a bit. I was told that they were fairly new. Pool clean. Only reason for 4 stars is not a fan of the breakfast. But I guess it’s your typical stuff. I will stay here again
SStay43200207246The pool heater was broken and super cold. Was there with my kids and some friends for a bday party. Had to leave for a few hours and go somewhere else to swim and pay money for that. The breakfast was horrible and extremely limited. Kept running out of the few things they did have. Have stayed here before and was a much better experience. Not sure if I will come back again.
GGuest UserWe had a less than optimal experience this weekend with our stay. The room was very dirty. The walls and carpet were stained. There were cigarette burns in the carpet. There was a giant stain on our blanket. I asked for a replacement and never received it. There were liquids dripping down the wall. There were candy wrappers on the floor when we arrived, and there was a clump of hair in the bathroom. I discussed with a female attendant, but I was told no other room was available in the same category. I asked for a refund. The employee said that she would inform the manager, and ”that will not be a problem.” I never heard back from the manager nor did I get a refund. There were children screaming and running up and down the halls at all hours. I called to complain, but nothing was fixed as it continued for several more hours. I asked for towels two times with no response. I finally had to go to the front desk and then got 2 towels as ”that is all they had available.” The conditioner was empty in the shower. We asked for a few little bottles. 2 of the 4 were half used. I was also shocked and very upset that a child was able to go to the front desk and request a key for my room. The key was given to a child who was not a part of my group nor invited into my room. The child was given a key no questions asked and came into my room twice before I figured out that the front desk issued them a key.
GGuest UserCelebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We had reservations in a nearby restaurant and wanted to be close. Overall, the hotel stay was fine. Quiet and mostly clean. There was a bit of dried up food on the TV stand that I wiped down myself. The lady at the front desk was very accommodating but came off a bit “cold” as if helping me was a chore. The Starbucks lady(staff) was overwhelmed. She was the only person taking orders and ringing up customers. I wish that everyone can simply be kind and cordial or choose not to work in customer service.
GGuest UserWhen we first walked in, their was someone standing at the front desk waiting to greet us, unlike most hotels where you have to wait around for somebody's help. We received cookies, which were a pleasant surprise, extremely delicious, and warm. Check in was really easy, the person at the front desk was very pleasant we could tell she liked her job, she was also efficient and fast. The room was very clean and didn't smell like pets or cigarettes, like most hotel rooms do even though they say they are non smoking. We did notice the furniture was outdated and heavily used; however it is expected, because it is a hotel room. We did not come to sit in the room and look at the 4 walls, we wanted to experience the amenities the hotel provides.
I walked in with low expectations because every hotel I've been to with a pool and a hot tub one or the other does not work. This is even after calling the hotel before booking a reservation we end up being disappointed. I was extremely satisfied when both the pool and hot tub were operational and clean. The pool towels were actually on the deck so you didn't have to go to the front desk to get them. There was an incident at the pool with 3 young teens who couldn't handle a certain kind of substance and the one ended up vomiting and all the girls ran away with out reporting it. When we called the front desk they came quickly and cleaned it up. There was a small fitness center off to the side of the pool and was well kept and clean.
Breakfast was organized, the food was cooked in variation, which I enjoyed, because I do not like my food overdone. The waiter was super friendly and very attentive to our needs they will definitely have my business again.
We had an unplanned stop in suburban Chicago. Stayed here for the night. Great service, Friendly staff, clean and well kept room, excellent breakfast. Have no issues or complaints. Money well spent. It’s just the location and parking are little confusing but a great stay overall.
GGuest UserAbsolute worst Hilton property I’ve stayed at in recent memory. ACs weren’t functioning properly and were blowing hot air making it very uncomfortable and hard to sleep. You got a different answer depending on who you asked. Front desk said engineers were working on it, a maintenance member said it had to do with the weather and they still had tarps on top of the units on the roof, another front desk associate said certain wings of the hotel just don’t cool off as much as others which turned out not to be true after I switched rooms, and it was just as hot. When I say hot, I’m talking close to 80° inside the room. I know because I bought a temperature gauge and brought it back to the room to find out. The hallways and lobby are much cooler than the rooms. Everyone was complaining and the hotel did very little to accommodate the concerns. I was told they could check me out so I could go to another hotel if I would like. Another solution from one of the hotel staff was to put me in a room with a balcony, and they said to prop open the door and let the air flow through. Meaning both the balcony door and the hotel room door. I would like to say Crystal and Sam in the evening at the front desk tried to help, but I believe their hands were tied in what they could do for the actual air. They offered a fan and waters. They were very friendly, despite how uncomfortable it was. Inside the room was very rundown. Several security items were broken, including the safety door latch, and there was no way to lock the sliding door or sliding screen on the balcony. In addition, the bathrooms were filthy, and a lot of the fixtures coming apart. See the pictures. Stay away at all costs. Plenty of other great options anywhere but here.
LLee PunkeThe greatest difficulty was checking in, as the kitchen cupboard was bare. There was no clerk, simply a note with incorrect spelling, which I deciphered and called a clerk from the Holiday Inn Express. He was helpful and explained that the hotel I was at was no longer employed there. The room was fine, but wrestling luggage up the stairs required the strength of Hercules. I managed. There was also no one there the next day, but Geraldine from the next hotel proved very helpful. I even asked her to assist me with dropping off a package at the post office, which hopefully she accomplished. The hotel was absolutely fine, but the service could certainly have been better.
詹詹This red top is still relatively clean, the price/performance ratio can choose such a hotel to prepare breakfast, it can only be a cup of coffee. There is a supermarket store nearby.
