This review is only my experience after 3 weeks in this place. Not a good one.manager prefers work crews in the area opposed to single business people. Many things went wrong in my room as well as on the property however he always had some excuse. The straw that made me leave was that every weekend there were free for alls and no supervision. People would be drunk and smoking pot and noone in the hotel told them to stop. I was told that I would have a quiet apt for anger stay. Every weekend I got no sleep. One night 2 girls checked in at midnight and kept me up all night which caused me to miss a meeting. The sales woman told me there were no one bedrooms available that weekend so people had to be put in the room under me. Not true. I checked on line I was able to book 3 one bedrooms available. I would never check in with children or even business men. This place is good for truckers only.also truckers were washing their trucks in the small parking lot on weekends. All this place want is too fill rooms. They don't care with whom.
The location is very good, the surrounding environment is in good order, and the transportation is convenient and not noisy. It is a recent road construction, which is a bit inconvenient. There are many supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance.
The rooms are large and clean, the front desk service is good, the laundry is a bit late, or it is completed in time, plus points.
The room is OK, that is, another building is far from the front desk, and there is no elevator on the second floor. On a hillside, the scenery is not bad. Close to the highway and convenient transportation.
This was a perfect location to stay while visiting our son in Mt. Arlington. We had never been to New Jersey before. With the exception (unexplained..) of the fire alarm going off one night, this hotel was one of the QUIETEST places we've ever stayed. (Even though, I learned they had 3 wedding groups staying there). It's far back off the road, and next to a Hilton Homewood suites. The king-sized room was just right for 2 people. It has a pull out sofa but IMO (3) people would NOT be comfortable in the room, it's way too small. Very nice kitchen amenities (even a dishwasher), could allow 1-2 people to stay here several weeks if needed. We didn't use the pool (it has ALOT of restrictions during these Covid times). The room / hotel was impeccably clean. Very large parking lot (shared between the 2 hotels). Though the bathroom is small, due to the closet design, there's a long closet between the bathroom and the kitchen area (helping with air flow). Bed super comfortable and the shower was amazing. 2 ”less than great” things are: there's no housekeeping service during covid times (I did not want it DAILY, but believed it was 'on request'. ). You can get a towel refresh and shampoo, etc. but that's it. The breakfast (grab and go), like another writer mentioned, was just ...not good. The odd thing was that everything is individually wrapped (even the slices of bread to toast!) but: you're still touching the toaster handle, the microwave handle and buttons, etc. (doesn't make much sense). There were whole apples (maybe small fruit cups would be better) and the waffles did not taste good at all. Butter patties were frozen. Individual yogurts were a good idea, and the juice was good. Coffee is available 24/7. There were also some kind of breakfast sandwiches to ”nuke” but they didn't look good to me. IMO breakfast closed early on a weekend: 9am. A high point - the laundry room is very nice, very clean. But BE PREPARED with quarters -- it's $1.50 per load to wash or dry. (I always bring laundry pods and dryer sheets). Nearby: there is Rockaway Mall which (contrary to what another writer said) is really big (but fairly devoid of people). There are some restaurants around, and a Costo. But if you are used to buying alcohol / beer / wine etc. at a grocery store, you can't in NJ. We were dissappointed to find that the Shop Rite 'package store' section closed at 8pm on a Sunday. This hotel and the Hilton, do not have bars or restaurants on site. OVERALL -- very impressed with the hotel, and if you stay in Rockaway (not Dover), the area is very nice. We would 100% stay here again.
Had stayed at the Townplace Suites before when visiting family in this area. This time there was no availability there, so I booked the Homewood Suites for the 2 nights we were in town, even though I was aware the reviews for this hotel weren't as good. Of all the Homewood suites I stayed at over the years this one is by far the worst. Starting with check-in, the front desk clerk was very uninformative. No recognizing my Hilton Honors membership, no instructions on amenities or breakfast hours, etc. After settling in I went to the lobby to get some hot water for tea, and found the water was barely luke-warm. Heated it in the microwave in the room. Breakfast next morning was equally disappointing. This location doesn't have the belgian waffle maker that all other HW suites I've stayed at does. The usual omelettes/sausage selections were just as cold as the hot water was (again). We decided to eat breakfast at a nearby diner the next morning. Other things we noted: the drain under the sink was dripping water the first morning of our stay, and I noticed there was tape (not duct tape, brown tape) wrapped around the drain pipe leading to the trap! The shower curtain rod was badly bent, and the anchors at either end were loose in the wall. There were spackle spots next to each anchor, and I realized when I took a shower that the tub is so slippery many people must have grabbed the curtain instead of the safety bar, which explains why the anchors were pulled out of the wall! The front desk personnel was always someone different from Friday night to Sunday when we went to talk to someone, and nothing was ever fixed. This location is badly in need of renovation and upgrading. There needs to be an overhaul of personnel (in terms of continuity and wanting to help), and the food needs to be HOT. The cost for 2 nights was outrageous compared to the condition and service of this hotel, especially since we've experienced the Townplace Suites next door.
I loved the breakfast and the organization of the hotel. Very nice stay and i Will be thinking of coming back soon. The room was nice and so was the bed. Ele helped us find the ice machines and she was very lovely and she always has a smile with every guest
What a horrid stay at this heavy-use hotel. The owner/manager refuses to address restitution for damage to my personal property that occurred in this hotel room while I was downstairs in a conference. I was made to wait for six days before receiving contact after the incident -- and I was only contacted because the owner/manager was unhappy with my truthful but negative review. I deleted that review and reposted a more current review after I had been contacted and was told the issue would be ”escalated.” Gave them the benefit of the doubt. The owner/manager again responded on that review, trying to portray them as innocent. Three days later, a man identifying himself as from the ”Hilton Parsippany Legal Department” called me loudly and argumentatively, claiming I had been contacted more than the one call when that staff person said it needed ”escalation.” He was obviously angry at the review, but still did not address restitution for the damage to my property in that hotel room. I told him my review was honest, he was being abusive and hung up. He called back, behaving similarly, and I hung up again. I called the Parsippany Police, and the officer advised me to make a police report with my local police and have it forwarded. The officer said the same thing I said to the man who was ”allegedly” from their ”legal department” -- I am well within my rights to leave a negative review, since this was my true experience. Later the same day, I received an email from this owner/manager, which had odd wordings, strange punctuation, lack of capital letters -- saying it was a manager who attempted to call me but I ”hanged up on him,” leaving out the legal department part, offering to try to call me again the next morning, ”respectfully” this time -- to which I responded in writing: I restated the issues, informing them that I would not be answering any more phonecalls, that they needed to respond in writing. I copied Hilton Corporate in that correspondence, as well as the director of the conference I attended. When I contacted Hilton Corporate, I reported the damage to my property, the poor conditions present during that stay, and that I had followed up with the police. Hilton Corporate issued a case number, and this is as far as resolution has progressed as of today, almost a week later. On the last review I left, the owner/manager posted a response, again meant to portray them in a positive way, despite the true experience, claiming a ”backstory.” The next day, after I had spoken to Hilton Corportate, this comment came down. Today, this owner/manager had posted a different response, this time more appropriate, but asking ME to contact HIM. Again. The hotel management has all my contact details, they have pictures of the damage, and Hilton Corporate has my details as well. This manager has merely ”fielded” complaints without just resolution. I will attach photos of both my review and the manager's various comments on my reviews. In addition to photo
Conveniently located just off I-80 next to the Rockaway Townsquare mall and three miles from the Picatinny Arsenal military base, the Hilton Garden Inn offers all the comforts of home. Amenities include a fitness center, featuring a Peloton Bike with toe cages, an indoor pool, and a restaurant and bar serving delicious American fare. The hotel is 15 minutes from the International Trade Center, and within a 30-minute drive of Rock Island Lake Club, Perona Farms, and Bear Brook Valley.
The hotel environment is good 👍 is directly proportional to the price, but it is very difficult to find Wi-Fi at the front desk. It is recommended to say hello once when you check in. The hotel charges for parking

Excellent
GGuest UserThis was a perfect location to stay while visiting our son in Mt.
Hotel is clean and new! I wish I could give them 5 stars for how pretty and clean it is) I reserved a room on my travels because they claimed they had EV chargers. But they only have Tesla chargers ( not sure if these are destination charges or superchargers) and even they were unusable as they were not unwrapped and connected yet. It took nearly two weeks to hear back from general manager, who was sympathetic but claimed it wasn’t in her justification. I asked that she share it with the owners as feedback. Incidentally, the front desk often goes unanswered. I wasted my reward points on this stay.
GGuest UserHad stayed at the Townplace Suites before when visiting family in this area.
Hotel staff was pleasant and room was clean and updated. I chose this location for the free breakfast but was a little disappointed in the quality and space provided. Was very busy at 8 am and very hard to get around to even get food; didn't have time to wait for more hot food to be put out. Thankfully they had some fruit we could grab and eat on our way.
DDahlia SThis review is only my experience after 3 weeks in this place.
EExplore2262331I had a family emergency that brought me to the hotel late at night so they overcharged me sadly the next morning I had yet another family emergency so I had to leave early and they would not refund me for one night's stay!! This was not my only negative encounter with a Wyndham hotel. Never again will I stay at a Wyndham location! I will also be leaving a Yelp review! The vending machines were not working and I was denied a bottle of water from the kitchen but offered a cup to get water from the bathroom facet! I was charged $380 for what ended up being a around a 15-hour stay!!!! Wyndham ripped me off when I was in desperate need!!
李李Very clean, very beautiful hotel, very clean, breakfast is a very simple American breakfast, there is a self-service laundry room, very convenient. Overall quite satisfied
GGuest UserRoom was dirty on arrival. I had to clean it myself. Adjacent customers were constantly smoking. No enforcement by management. Its supposed to a be smoke free hotel. I requested to be moved to a second room which ended up being roach infested. Complained to Asst. Manager Manuel about the toilet not being clean, the sheets with hair, the floor not mopped, cabinets filthy with roach droppings, and he told me ”This is not the Plaza hotel maam, this is extended stay”. So, I said to him ”that's your answer to my complaints”. As a member of management, he needs to learn customer service skills. Rude, terrible customer service, terrible representation of the company. The building is filthy. I called customer service and they refused to give me the district manager phone number. No accountability by the company or its employees. They just take your money and don't care whether you sleep in a clean and healthy environment. I asked to break my contract and they had the audacity to charge me a penalty fee. I should get the stay refunded completely! Horrible!!! Don't stay at this hotel!!!!
Anything you need they help. No worries, no problems. Quiet surrounding, and right near all major shopping and I loved the honesty and graceiousness from the staff. The bathroom was great and the room had a refrigerator and microwave!
GGuest UserMy husband and I were in town for a night to visit family. It was the hottest weekend of the year thus far. We were able to check in early to our suite which was nice, but the nice ends there. We turned on the AC before leaving to spend the day with family. (Around 2:30pm) When we returned (about 11:30pm), the AC was still on but the room was hotter than when we left earlier that afternoon. Neither of the units worked. It was so hot neither of us could sleep. My husband went to the front desk but they wouldn't move us because they claim to be fully booked. They also did not have any fans available. He asked for the manager but he wasn't in. (Which is understandable as it was 2:30am). My husband slept in the car with the AC on. At checkout in the morning he again asked for the manager but he wasn't in yet. (8:30am on Sunday morning) The woman at the desk asked if there was a problem and I thought my husband's head was going to burst. She was the person he had spoken to earlier about the AC not working! I think there was a language barrier. There were televisions, no remotes for either. The bathroom sink was clogged. The toilet hadn't been cleaned. There was coffee, no coffee maker. Breakfast was advertised, no breakfast. The room smelled. We will never stay here again. I gave a one circle rating because they let us check in early and the staff was nice everything beyond that was awful.
