I understand that loss of occupancy during covid might have taken a toll on some hotels. I'm assuming that's the reason the owners of this hotel haven't put any funds into improvements - wallpaper in all hallways and the rooms is peeling - it's been reglued (not very well) and stapled in so many locations - it just looks gross. The elevators aren't very clean. Carpet and furniture are dated. Towels are thin. Our bathroom had mold, even though they'd tried to paint over some of it. The lighting in the rooms is too dim, and there's an outlet only on one side of the bed. TV is old but big. There's a microwave, which is nice, but it will take 4x the normal time to heat something. Also a refrigerator in the room. Coffee pods didn't fit into the machine but still worked (still not great coffee - we went out for it). Front desk staff was friendly. We slept ok as long as we cooled the room before bed then turned off the in-room AC unit before we went to sleep. Breakfast was typical (yuck - didn't even bother). Pool area didn't seem too bad. We needed a hotel in this area and this one had the best reviews; I'm not sure why. But if it's the best one, I'd hate to see the others. If we had to come to this area again, we would look for something better, even if it was an extra 10-15 minute drive.

Excellent staff, courteous and quick to meet any needs. Very clean rooms with nice amenities. Pet friendly. Great complimentary breakfast selection. Highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed.

I always travel with my service dog and was pleased to see this location had a ”dog area”. This area had grass well cut, however, there was trash everywhere and the doggie waste station was broken. The waste basket was on the ground and there were no waste bags in the receptacle. I always have bags with me but it's nice to know they're available should a guest forget theirs.
The elevator floor linoleum was very old and dated with chips in it upon entering.
The floor I was on was quite noisy all night. There was a smaller dog barking non-stop for hours. A baby crying/wailing for about 15 minutes( so loud I could hear the baby in my room), the room next to me had their TV on super loud until after 3:30 a.m.
I know it was this time because my dog had to relieve himself at 3:10 a.m.
The staff was the shining light here. The check in agent was friendly and very efficient. The housekeepers were all very friendly as they all said hello upon passing any of them and the check out agent was friendly. Maintenance crew were nice when I ran into them in the hallways.
The staff is what kept me from giving this location all poor ratings. The location was alot further from the beach than I anticipated. Probably won't stay here again due to location and conditions described in review.

We so appreciate the service from the Motel 6 staff located at 6301 IH 37, Corpus Christi, TX 78409-2719 My husband and I have stayed here for approximately one year. ALL of the staff has made it such a comfortable stay!! The service was outstanding. April (the General Manager) is on top of her game!! She went the extra mile to ensure our customer satisfaction and the other administrative staff (Ashley, Irma and the other administrative staff) were polite and courteous at all times. Maria, Deyaira and Jacqueline treated us with the utmost and respect and warmth as they diligently kept the rooms clean and daily provided for our needs. Last but not least the maintenance crew (Miguel and Giovonni) were able to get the job done without any delay and were very seasoned maintenance professionals. We would highly recommend Motel 6 (m63226bo) to family, friends and people of all ages. We thank all of you for your hard work. You deserve the highest of praises! We also thank all of you for your outstanding servitude!! Yours truly PEK
