I booked my stay through Trip.com and was double-charged by Courtyard Marriott and Trip.com upon check-out: for anyone reading this, whenever you book through trip.com you should 100% ensure the hotel you're staying at DOES NOT also charge you! Upon catching the mistake on my credit card statement, I called the hotel and was put in a waiting queue and after 20 minutes I hung up and called right back and got through: there's obviously some issue with the phone system or monitoring. After sorting through the issue with the associate, she informed me they needed to get a temporary credit card number from trip.com before they could process my refund: THIS IS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE as it was their mistake to charge me in the first place! The associate asked if I wanted to speak with a manager and I said yes and was put on hold again. Eventually the line picked up but I just heard background noise. All of this was two days ago: still no return call and no refund. I emailed Marriott corporate and they said they would follow-up. I've now spent an hour on this. It's clear associates at this location were not trained on how to handle 3rd-party bookings and good customer service.

This Hampton Inn was very clean and the decor was better than normal. They had cookies!! Haven't seen them since Pre-Covid. They also had 2 different shapes of waffle irons. They had fresh oatmeal with brown sugar and nuts. BEST breakfast! and Newspapers... THANK YOU!!!!

1. Rooms stink of smoke. 2. We came unwittingly on a weekend when the hotel was hosting an enormous children’s hockey group. We were warned at check-in that the group was there, that they are there every year, and that they are extremely noisy. The front desk told us that they hired a security guard for the weekend to handle noise complaints. 3. Well, the front desk was certainly right. It was complete mayhem the entire weekend with kids screaming and running through the halls unsupervised all night long while their parents drank and partied. It was essentially a frat party plus kids. On top of all the smell of ********* was rife in the hallways. 4. I am all for kids hockey, all for the group having fun, and freedom. HOWEVER - the hotel has no right to lure unsuspecting guests without warning. They could’ve easily called us in advance to let us know about this and give us the choice to stay somewhere else. 5. I would never stay in this lousy hotel again. They put the Almighty buck of selling one more room ahead of the considerations of their guests and this is a clear violation of their duty as hoteliers.

GGuest UserThis Hampton Inn was very clean and the decor was better than normal. They had cookies!! Haven't seen them since Pre-Covid. They also had 2 different shapes of waffle irons. They had fresh oatmeal with brown sugar and nuts. BEST breakfast! and Newspapers... THANK YOU!!!!

GGuest User1. Rooms stink of smoke. 2. We came unwittingly on a weekend when the hotel was hosting an enormous children’s hockey group. We were warned at check-in that the group was there, that they are there every year, and that they are extremely noisy. The front desk told us that they hired a security guard for the weekend to handle noise complaints. 3. Well, the front desk was certainly right. It was complete mayhem the entire weekend with kids screaming and running through the halls unsupervised all night long while their parents drank and partied. It was essentially a frat party plus kids. On top of all the smell of ********* was rife in the hallways. 4. I am all for kids hockey, all for the group having fun, and freedom. HOWEVER - the hotel has no right to lure unsuspecting guests without warning. They could’ve easily called us in advance to let us know about this and give us the choice to stay somewhere else. 5. I would never stay in this lousy hotel again. They put the Almighty buck of selling one more room ahead of the considerations of their guests and this is a clear violation of their duty as hoteliers.

TTimothy WojnarI booked my stay through Trip.com and was double-charged by Courtyard Marriott and Trip.com upon check-out: for anyone reading this, whenever you book through trip.com you should 100% ensure the hotel you're staying at DOES NOT also charge you! Upon catching the mistake on my credit card statement, I called the hotel and was put in a waiting queue and after 20 minutes I hung up and called right back and got through: there's obviously some issue with the phone system or monitoring. After sorting through the issue with the associate, she informed me they needed to get a temporary credit card number from trip.com before they could process my refund: THIS IS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE as it was their mistake to charge me in the first place! The associate asked if I wanted to speak with a manager and I said yes and was put on hold again. Eventually the line picked up but I just heard background noise. All of this was two days ago: still no return call and no refund. I emailed Marriott corporate and they said they would follow-up. I've now spent an hour on this. It's clear associates at this location were not trained on how to handle 3rd-party bookings and good customer service.
