Spent a week here as we have previously stayed at their sister hotel in Es Castell near Mahon. The Port Cuitadella is classed as a 4 star plus. Although large areas have been revamped, the dining room let it down . It was dark and oppressive, and outside seating area was better but limited seating. Food not up to 4 star standards. Soup thin and not hot. No hot plates on offer so food got cold quickly. My husband brought this to the attention of the hotel manager. Our room was positioned on the first floor overlooking a side street. Not wonderful. Easy and pleasant walk into Cuitadella. Small beach nearby in cove. Would we return. No. We much prefer the hotel in Es Castell!

We stayed here in October and this hotel is really a lovely hotel to stay at with everything you could need. It was clean, rooms nicely done with a mini fridge, bar area was nice with seating indoors & outdoors. All the staff are very helpful and friendly, Jose in the bar also very friendly. All the reception staff were very helpful and gave information when asked. We stayed here on bed & breakfast basis and found plenty of choice at breakfast both hot & cold. We did eat on an evening twice and paid 25 euros each and we found there was plenty of choice. Where people said on other reviews about running out of plates we didn't see this at all. Think the refurbishment of the Spa is needed which I believe is happening this winter. I know the restaurant is due to have a refurbishment as well but we quite liked it in the restaurant and the fact you could sit in the courtyard. We would recommend this hotel and we would go back.

Just spent two weeks here. What a wonderful, relaxing time we've had! The hotel has recently been modernized and looks great. We had a very spacious room with a dressing area as well as a sofa. The pool area is a good size and plenty of beds. All the staff have been so friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay an enjoyable one. Nothing is too much for them! Would definitely come back!

Would highly recommend this hotel; every staff member we dealt with was excellent! We had a ground floor room facing the sea with a sunny terrace. ( only 2 floors to hotel ) A ceiling fan in the room was a pleasant surprise, in addition to air con, keeping us cool in the 30 degree heat! Very comfy bed, loads of storage, and gorgeous bathroom with very effective shower pressure. Soft towels. Wi-Fi great- no problems. Option to delay room cleaning to save resources. Pool is delightful; located in the centre courtyard of the hotel; loads of loungers and several circular beds for two or three, and plenty of umbrellas. We had the breakfast option included, loads of variety and all fresh. Hot and cold options, fruits, breads, and an option to have eggs or pancakes freshly cooked. We also had the evening meal buffet one night, which was about 25 euros each, and which we thoroughly enjoyed; so much to choose from. However, if you love food as we do, we headed other nights into the historical old town of Ciutadella, about a 15 minute walk. You could also do a longer 25 minute route around the water’s edge, to reach the port area, from where you climb up to the town centre. Restaurants which we enjoyed and would recommend; Moriarty, Bistrot es Rodol, Maramao, and Margot for tapas style food, Pizza Santa Clara, and Puspaayu for gourmet burgers. ( A good tip for any of these, particularly Moriarty Rodol and Maramao is to book a night or two in advance as there were often queues for a table). The town centre is buzzing with life each evening and there are craft stalls to browse late at night. There were also clothing and jewellery stalls in the square on Monday and Friday mornings. Fantastic individual shops to browse, and ice creams to be had! We had such a wonderful relaxing holiday! Also lots of history in the town centre, if you search it out. The cloister of St Augustine particularly beautiful. We didn’t do any trips out as we just wanted to stay local and relax, but obviously the whole island awaits you if you prefer! And there is a clear blue sea inlet right in front of the hotel for a salty sea dip if you prefer! Perfect week!

Another warm welcome from manager Jeizo Alles and her great friendly hard working team. Hotel is looking great after its refurbished last winter and l believe that this winter work is being carried out in the restaurant and spa. Great breakfast and dinner in the buffet restaurant. Spotless clean every where. Lovely pool area. 10/15 walk to the centre of beautiful Ciutadella. Lovely location. Always a great stay.

Our stay was all that we hoped for,from the smiley welcome with complimentary local gin on our arrival,to the calm vibe throughout the hotel.Staff friendly and helpful especially Melanie and Roxana on reception,nothing too much trouble

This hotel is a little gem in the heart of Ciutadella. Perfectly positioned by the coastal road and only a five minute walk into the beautiful town. Everything about the hotel is perfect, lovely spacious clean and modern rooms with comfortable beds and room amenities. The hotel staff are so friendly and happy to help with any aspect of your stay Food and drinks at the snack bar 'Sa Galera' are top notch and the buffet breakfast has something for everyone. Lots of choice including an omelette and pancakes station and a great selection of breads, cakes and fruit etc. The spa could maybe do with a little freshen up as it's a little dated in comparison to the rest of the hotel but this didn't ruin our stay at all There is also a beautiful outdoor pool with sunbeds and a separate sun terrace which we didn't use as it was the end of the season and the purpose of our trip was to see family and friends. However I'm sure that if we came here in the height of summer and had more time,we would have spent some time there. We will definitely be back next year!

Wonderful hotel picked entirely by random, and so glad we did. Fantastic pool area. The hotel is situated perfectly between the sea and old town, which has lovely old streets and tapas bars. I have to say that food in the hotel restaurant was a disappointment, but the bar had a great selection of good snack type dishes. Lastly the staff are wonderful and couldn't do enough to make your stay perfect.
