The Gulfview is a great location in Clearwater Beach. The hotel is on the tail end of the main beach so you really cant walk far on that part of the beach. Restaurants, shops, bars are walking distance The hotel is rather old, but our room was fine. Large size kitchen. They didnt have regular housekeeping service, but hotel clerk said anything we needed we could ask for. We enjoyed our 4 night stay here,

View from balcony was really nice. Comfy beds. Little kitchenette so cute and compact with everything we needed. Pool is heated and jacuzzi is good.
Downside is the building is old. Carpet in room needs to be replaced and table on balcony full of old cigarette burns needs to be replaced. Hotel is next to a more expensive place that has a resident band and singer and the music is played so loud all day and until 1 to 2am so very hard to sleep. Not sure why that is allowed no consideration for other hotels close to it. If you want to sit on the loungers on the beach close by with umbrellas you have to pay a daily fee. They belong to the hotel next door so best to stay on the pool patio on this hotels loungers. Other downside is the beach areas are all blocked off with rocks for each hotel so there is no long stretch of beach to go for a long stroll so we drove to Indian Rocks Beach where you can have a long beach walk.

Easy check in and parking. Good price, bed was comfy. Very basic and old furnishings, but clean. Nice pool, beach. Met our needs.

I traveled alone and everyone made me feel so comfortable.
The only problem was beach chairs. The chairs by the pool were nice but the chairs for the beach were stacked high and you would have to drag it. UGH! next time I will bring mine. But it was a perfect pleasant trip, and I didn't want to leave.

Liked the location. Easy to locate
And close to shops ,and connection to other beaches. The accommodations were clean but the room and hall carpets were worn and dingy. Would liked to have had housekeeping at least replace towels daily ,but not a problem getting clean towels from desk clerk. All staff was very friendly

Our partial view of ocean was top notch. Unexpected great view along with enjoying the live band from next door. Extremely quite. Best sleep for days.

For the money i paid i got every bit of my worth, granted weather wasn’t the greatest but i really liked my room and had a really nice view.

Our room smells like wet and watery dirt not sure why im surprised at Orbitz that has such a high rating on this place
