Foresteria Villa Margherita

Fantastic stay in a well equipped apartment part of the Foresteria Villa Margherita hosted by Francesca. A great week in which we were supported by splendid tips from the host on food, restaurants to go to and places to visit. We felt at home and want to come back again.

I wanted to find a place that wasn't overrun with tourist but still had beautiful views of the lake and mountains. This place has it all! The views in the pictures are real, and from the town you can access the whole of Lake Como. The bikes are an amazing help to get around if you don't enjoy driving. Everything was beautiful.

We were a little later than expected, but were still warmly welcomed. The foresteria is managed by Francesca and her family and has a beautiful view of the Lago di Como. The rooms are beautifully maintained and with the Italian summers the swimming pool is a real pleasure. The breakfast was delicious and be sure to try the fresh cakes and tarts. We loved our stay!

Our stay at the villa was amazing. We only stayed for one night and wished we had stayed longer. Francesca was super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was lovely in the morning . Also had a lovely welcome from their golden retriever! The views were amazing from our room and the pool area.. we would definitely come and stay again😊

Francesca is an excellent host. Foresteria Villa Mergherita has excellent view of Lake Como and the entire property was magnificent. We highly recommend this property, for its convenient location, super views, peaceful quiet and comfortable.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Everything about this place was perfect: location, view, room size, cleanness, breakfast and last but not least the owner/host, Francesca. We did not try the pool but it was always clean and inviting. The location is perfect for a quiet and relaxing stay with access to the other villages around Lake Como. I highly recommend this relaxing hidden gem in Como.

We had such a great stay! Francesca is very welcoming; the room was spacious, clean with an astonishing view; the breakfast with homemade cakes baked by Francesca was a perfect start of the day; and the swimming pool was a delight after a nice day of visiting the region. Thank you!

Great location, great accomondation, Great breakfast, great hospitallity and above all a superb hostess. Just a short walk to the beach or the city. Very nice with a pool just beside the villa. A very good restaurant is located 150 meters from the villa.

Wir waren mit einem befreundeten Pärchen für 4 Übernachtungen in der Foresteria Villa Margherita und was soll man sagen - die Unterkunft ist nahezu perfekt und lässt wirklich kaum Wünsche offen. Bereits während der Anreise wurden wir kontaktiert, die Ankunftszeit wurde abgestimmt und so konnten die Zimmer direkt bezogen werden. Die gesamte Unterkunft ist super sauber, die Zimmer sind geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und der Blick vom Balkon zum See einfach herrlich. Über die Klimaanlage im Zimmer haben wir uns ebenfalls sehr gefreut, denn so war es trotz hoher Außentemperaturen im Zimmer immer sehr angenehm kühl. Der Pool ist groß und wird mit den anderen Gästen gemeinsam benutzt, doch da die Unterkunft überschaubar ist, war auch das überhaupt kein Problem. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ebenfalls überschaubar, jedoch abwechslungsreich und für jeden war etwas dabei. Das einzige Manko war der Kühlschrank im Zimmer, der etwas laut war und nur von Zeit zu Zeit gekühlt hat. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas weiter vom See entfernt, der Strand und das Zentrum von Colico sind dennoch gut zu erreichen und es stehen kostenlos Fahrräder zur Verfügung, die auch für weitere Strecken genutzt werden können. Ein Vorteil der Lage sind die ruhige Umgebung und der wunderschöne Blick zum See. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt und kommen gern wieder.
