The room is big enough, the location is perfect. A lot of bars cafes and restaurants around, the metro is nearby. It’s clean and confortable. The only thing, there is no reception so a super stinky homeless person made it to our floor!

The worst experience with hotels in 15 years. Hotline tells you different things at the end you getting scammed and did not even find the property. They completely advice you wrong beginning from the parking and ending up with the whole property. You can search 45 min they don’t give a f*. They guide you through everything with no result the only goal is that you cancel in the booking app and you won’t get your money back. At the end it was a lesson.

I arrived a very long trip via plane and trains from the US to discover Cologne was in the midst of a heat wave and the hotel had no a/c. Bad start. The room has e a fan, which means they know it can get hot. Laptop connects to the wifi, but not internet service. A weeklong business trip and no internet. I expected it to be like a Sonder. It is not, It is very down market from a Sonder. Tiny shower that cannot hold a temperature. Classic Nespresso machine with no pods (thanks for what?). Interior is clean but dreary and spartan. Hallways in the building are drab and bland. Zero charm or interest. But it is the lack of a/c and wifi that is the clincher. IF I can find another hotel to transfer to (unlikely during a convention) I will move for sure. Super disappointing. Only poositve is that it is a half block from the Friesenplatz station.

The stay part was ok. Getting into the property was a major hassle. It has no lobby, so no one to answer questions or help. Also, it was not close to the city center or the train station.

Location is excellent and amenities

Uitstekende locatie in het Belgisch kwartier, de leukste wijk van de stad. Prima bedden, prettige kitchenette (alleen eieren koken in grote soeppan ;-)), ruime kamer, schoon, nette badkamer (waterdruk erg laag, douchen onder flauw straaltje). Er was veel lawaai op straat 's nachts tot wel 5 uur, vooral van uitgaanspubliek (en ook wel verkeer). Onder ons raam, er staan banken op het plein onder de boom, een clubje jongeren met drankflessen, luide stemmen en geregeld muziek uit gettoblasters, beide nachten. We deden 2 nachten bijna geen oog dicht. We zijn daarom zondag al naar huis vertrokken in plaats van maandagochtend. De kamers aan de voorzijde zouden minder duur moeten zijn voor dit grote ongemak. De kamer was veel te warm, dus we wilden met ramen open slapen, maar vanwege de herrie was dat niet te doen. We hebben alle radiatoren uit gezet, maar dat hielp nauwelijks, er is geen airco. Er was maar 1 rol wc-papier (en een beetje dat nog op een aangebroken rol zat) voor 3 nachten voor 2 personen (vouwen). Dat is veel te weinig! De koffie is niet te drinken, we namen gelukkig onze eigen Nespresso cups mee. Het zou handig zijn als er een extra plankje onder de wastafel was voor de toilettassen. In de gangen stonden de radiatoren ook vol aan, veel te warm en zonde van de energie! De entree en het trappenhuis zien er armoedig uit, de gangen waar de kamers aan liggen zijn netjes.
